We are now moving into Licensing and very excitingly collaborating with a children’s character, first launched in 1971. To bring this incredible opportunity to life, we are looking for an innovative and entrepreneurial Licensing Manager. 

Location: Canning Town Warehouse, Unit 4 SEGRO Park, London, E16 4ES. Working from home is an option in line with Crisis’ Hybrid Working Policy, with the expectation you will work onsite one day per week and attend regular offsite meetings as well.

About the role 

As the Licensing Manager, you will work closely with the Head of eCommerce, shaping the strategy and delivering a new part of our eCommerce business, that could become a significant financial income stream for Crisis. 

We will be starting from the ground up, testing and learning as we go and creating meaningful collaborations across a spectrum of opportunities – there is no road map! 

Having just agreed a long-term collaboration with an amazing global children’s brand, allows us to be ambitious from the get-go, creating fantastic opportunities and excellent standards in how we work with brands that is second to none.

You will develop processes related to acquiring, maintaining, and protecting licenses for Crisis’s products, services, or intellectual property, and be responsible for all licensing activities, including new business development, negotiating terms, ensuring compliance, and managing relationships with licensors, licensees, and internal stakeholders. As a new income stream for Crisis, there will be a lot of internal and external stakeholder liaison, development of processes and cross organisational collaboration on external opportunities.

You will have a background in licensing, corporate partnerships, or administration, ideally working in a start-up environment and with a total ‘can do’ attitude.

Frazzled Cafe is a small mental health and wellbeing charity founded by Ruby Wax OBE, that provides a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment where people who are feeling frazzled and overwhelmed by the stresses of modern life can meet on a regular basis to talk and share their personal stories. 

We run our free meetings online every single day of the year for anyone who needs them, and anyone can book and be included to talk, share, listen and to feel heard.

As part of our exciting plans for growth, we are seeking a Development Manager to lead on the organisation’s fundraising and communications to fulfil our mission and play a key role in supporting the next phase of Frazzled Cafe’s growth and development.

You will be responsible for developing and delivering an ambitious fundraising strategy with a range of fundraising activities focusing primarily on trusts and foundations but also individual donors, corporate partners and fundraising campaigns. You will also lead on creating a communications strategy to significantly grow our reach, brand and impact. Working with our Training and Programmes Manager, you will support our plans to expand our network of fantastic Volunteer Facilitators. 

This is an exciting, creative and flexible opportunity for the right person. The ideal candidate is someone with a demonstrable successful track record in fundraising, alongside the skills of a talented and persuasive communicator and relationship builder. They will be creative, solution focussed, willing to get stuck in and have good humour.

MAIN TASKS

Fundraising

● Lead on developing and delivering an annual fundraising strategy to support our ambitious plans for growth, securing a minimum of £250k per year from Trusts and Foundations, individual donors, fundraising events and campaigns, and corporate partnerships.

● Research and generate a pipeline of funding applications, including multi-year grant opportunities from Trusts and Foundations

● Lead on writing compelling applications and conversations with funders, talking persuasively and informatively about Frazzled Cafe’s work and impact

● Work with the CEO and trustees to develop new relationships with individual donors and strengthen partnerships with existing supporters

● Work with the CEO and Head of Training and Programmes to develop new opportunities for corporate sponsorship and partnerships

● Lead on organising fundraising events such as dinners with major funders and initiate and develop other opportunities for fundraising.

● Lead on Frazzled Cafe’s annual Big Give Christmas Challenge campaign and identify any other fundraising campaign opportunities throughout the year, with support from the Project Support and Administration Officer

● Prepare regular reports and updates for our funders, engaging them with our work and the impact of their support

● Ensure that Frazzled Cafe’s fundraising work is GDPR compliant and meets best practice standards.

Marketing and Communications

● Lead on the development of Frazzled Cafe’s first communications strategy to drive awareness and demand, grow our audiences and scale our impact.

● Work with the Project Support and Administration Officer to manage Frazzled Cafe’s socials, newsletters and website, growing engagement across all our channels

● Work with the Head of Training and Programmes to develop a communications strategy to attract and recruit more Volunteer Facilitators and attendees for our programme

● Help deliver Frazzled Cafe’s rebrand with external agency and lead on ensuring consistency in messaging across the organisation

● Lead on developing a suite of resources and materials that can be used to promote our services

● Work with and support the Project Support and Administrative Officer to capture and interpret data from our communications to maximise impact

● Bring innovative ideas to promote the charity externally to develop a national brand and awareness of what Frazzled Cafe offers.

Person Specification:

● Proven experience of successfully developing and implementing a fundraising strategy

● Demonstrable experience in a communications, or similar, role

● A demonstrable track record in writing successful funding applications and securing funds, including multi-year grants, from grant-making organisations

The Role:

Queer Britain is the UK’s first and only LGBTQ+ museum, and it’s for all. Our warm and collegiate team opened the museum in our beautiful space in Kings Cross two years ago. Since then, we are proud to have won the Museum Association's Best Small Museum of the Year award and welcomed around 100,000 guests through the doors. We are preparing for our next exciting growth phase. As Development Manager, you will be key to growing from these early successes.

You will support the Director, Trustees and wider team’s fundraising efforts across all fundraising disciplines, including major donors, members and corporate partnerships, helping raise revenue for core funding, special projects and, as we work to acquire our next home, a capital campaign. 

You will conduct thorough research to identify prospective high-value donors, manage associated administrative tasks, and maintain detailed records. You will nurture relationships with existing patrons and sponsors, ensuring effective stewardship and strategic communications and you will help identify new ones, bringing your brilliant networking skills, charm and credibility to sell our vision and mission. 

You will coordinate across the charity to ensure fundraising activities support the museum’s goals, crafting compelling proposals and organising donor engagement and stewardship events.

Role description

We are looking for two self-motivated individuals to lead our programme delivery. One Programme Manager will be based in London with potential travel required across different locations in England, most likely Reading and Birmingham. The other Programme Manager will be based in Reading with potential travel required across different locations in England, most likely London, Birmingham, and the SE of England.

At the forefront of the organisation, you will be responsible for delivering all programmes allocated to you. Working alongside the Director of Programmes, you will be responsible for leading conversations related to retention and expansion of partnerships to drive our mission.

Our programme delivery involves maintaining partnerships with schools and universities, supporting our volunteers to become highly effective coaches, and managing programmes end-to-end from initial planning through to impact evaluation.

As well as delivering programmes in schools, once qualified as a coach, you will have the opportunity to be a professional coach to young adults from disadvantaged backgrounds currently at university or in the early stages of their career. 

You will also be responsible for the retention and renewal of partnerships within the region. You won’t have responsibility for generating new partnerships, but will be expected to support the CEO and Director of Programmes with identifying new opportunities and partners where you can.

Programme coordination and delivery: 

• Coordinate and run multiple in-school and online programmes (core and peer to peer) across the region. 

• Set timelines for programme start and finish dates. 

• Oversee programme quality and communicate with school staff  weekly to provide feedback after sessions. 

• Facilitate in-school or digital workshops for groups of pupils (KS1-5). 

• Plan and organise graduation trips to a local university for pupils on the programme.

• Coordinate and allocate coaches to school programmes, communicating with them weekly and when needed arranging transport for them to schools.

• Collect data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, such as pre and post programme questionnaires, attendance records, and pupil and coach feedback.

• Report regularly to the Director of Programmes on key performance indicators and  programme updates.

• Build and maintain relationships with coaches, pupils and teachers.

• Collect data and write impact reports and case studies.

• Once qualified Coach on our Lifecycle programmes.

Volunteer recruitment and management:

• Recruit and retain volunteer coaches (meeting minimum requirements set termly). 

• Manage volunteers and Head Coaches.

• Deliver coach training to volunteers in person and online. 

• Create a thriving community of social mobility advocates among university  students and young professionals. 

• Develop and maintain relationships with universities, corporate partners and others.

Contributing to the development of the region and wider organisation:

• Ensure retention of schools within the region by delivering high quality programmes, and leading retention, renewal, and expansion conversations with partners.

• Passion for social mobility. We have big aims and are looking for those who share our desire to make education fairer in the UK so a person’s background does not determine their future.

• Ability to think on your feet. Volunteer management and working with young people can be unpredictable, so you will need to be comfortable working reactively to solve challenges at short notice.

• Programme or project management experience. 

• Experience with young people. Comfortable running a session or delivering a workshop with a group of young people from age 8-18.

• Relationship building and facilitating. This is a public-facing role so you will be involved in communicating and delivering workshops to groups as well as communicating our mission to a wide range of stakeholders (business leaders, senior members of MATs, universities etc.).

• Experience of coaching or willing to complete a Level 1 Coaching Qualification.

The Housing Income Manager is Refuge’s expert lead and responsible for all elements of housing income management for our accommodation, including the policy framework, service charge calculation and rent setting, housing income budgets, training and management of rent collection, reporting and ensuring that all the processes meet the high standards set by the organisation and regulations in place.

Purpose of role:

This is a pivotal newly created role for the KFC Youth Foundation. The Income Generation Manager will contribute to the strategic direction and operational management of the charity. In addition to supporting the Foundation overall this will also extend to support our Youth Hub/s.

The Foundation receives no direct statutory funding and has historically, solely generated its income through its relationship with KFC as its corporate foundation. We have ambitious plans to diversify and extend our reach to help more young people, this requires diversification of funding. The post-holder will have overall responsibility for annual income and expenditure budgets for income generation.

Income Generation

• Adopt a commercial focus to develop, implement, and monitor an income diversification strategy (aligned to the organisational strategy) that will make our buildings and services sustainable.
• Horizon scanning and identification of opportunities to diversify sources of income. Including tenders, social enterprise, product development, collaboration and partnership.
• Pro-actively identify, research and pursue new opportunities, creating robust business cases and plans to support proposals.
• Unlock growth potential by identifying and developing strong commercial partnerships
• Develop the role to business partner with Hub Managers to create new streams of revenue and secure future income for the Regional Youth Hubs.
• Maintain a good understanding of the local and national context for our services.

• Play an active role as a member of the Foundation team, contributing to organisational strategic decision-making, providing a leadership role to the whole organisation and working with colleagues to achieve common goals.

The role

You should be self-motivated, with experience of working within volunteer management and able to manage ad-hoc corporate groups, short term volunteering schemes as well as long-term and regular volunteers. Additionally, you should be able to deliver end to end volunteer recruitment activities and provide on-going supervision and support to volunteers, ensuring that their training needs are met. You should also be able to develop and deliver a range of local volunteer engagement activities. • Develop and implement a regional volunteer recruitment strategy that will deliver an extensive pool of diverse and engaged volunteers to ensure the operational needs of your FareShare Regional Centre are met in a timely manner. 
• Recruit, build and maintain relationships with a wide range of regional volunteer sources, ensuring regular engagement leading to long term partnerships. 
• Regular liaison with the FareShare National Volunteering Team to capitalise on national initiatives. 

Volunteer engagement and communication strategies 

• Develop and deliver a regional engagement programme that ensures all volunteers have a rewarding experience, whilst effectively contributing to FareShare’s overall development 
• Promote volunteering, internally and externally in collaboration with the FareShare national team and ensure that the impact of volunteers is celebrated.
• Deliver the FareShare National volunteer induction programme to maximise the engagement and contribution of each volunteer.

• Enhance the experience of volunteering at your FareShare Regional Centre by delivering robust policies, together with effective engagement and communication programmes, so that volunteers enjoy what they do and can feel proud of their contribution and become ambassadors. 
• Liaise with FareShare Nationals Marketing & Volunteering Teams to promote and publicise case studies and examples of volunteer success stories. 
• To engage with other FareShare Regional Centres and the FareShare National Volunteering Team on a quarterly basis to deliver UK wide volunteering activity and share good practice.

This will involve delivering ambitious fundraising targets from a range of sources including grants, donations, corporate and philanthropic fundraising and investment. The postholder will need to ‘hold the pen’ and produce high quality funding applications and investment proposals.

The postholder will provide leadership and business development support for expert and talented service managers and work with the rest of the Leadership team to grow the income, impact and influence of The Green Estate.

At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice we care for children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions. We are currently supporting around 250 families both in our hospice and in family homes.

Our support services are wide ranging and bespoke to each family including end of life treatment and care, respite short breaks, counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy, home visits and much much more.  It costs more than £6.5m to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Lincolnshire and Chesterfield and Derbyshire. We receive around 16% of our funding from statutory sources.

Our team of passionate fundraisers work across the communities we serve to generate funds to help children and families make memories they’ll always treasure. We are the only children’s hospice in South Yorkshire, and each and every penny our team raises helps us to put smiles on the faces of the families in our care. Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice is seeking two full time Regional Fundraisers. These are key roles that will see you represent Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice by promoting and building awareness of the charity, working within a Corporate and Community environment to raise income and build strong relationships with our supporters.

• Support GRP’s established partnership-building strategy, expanding to new audiences in line with approach devised by Head of Partnerships and Strategic Communications Manager

Charity research and impact reporting (40% of work)

• Ongoing relationship management with GRP’s current recommended charities

• Quarterly presentations to GRPs’ Due Diligence Committee on our recommended charities, impact reports, etc

Customer relationship management (CRM) (10% of work)

• Managing company databases, including tracking and managing donor information and regular reporting to the Board of Trustees. Relevant programmes include Salesforce, Mailchimp and the website backend. No prior experience with these programmes required - training will be provided.
• Using data to facilitate ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the team’s progress in fundraising, sales and marketing, and addressing points of inefficiency to optimise conversions.
• Supporting website development and maintenance, including updating copy and visuals, and liaising with web developer.

Role description

Title: Interim General Manager

Contract: 24 hours per week (3 days). 6 month temporary contract (extended leave cover)

Our General Manager is going on an extended leave, so we are looking for someone who can lead the team, continue our fundraising efforts and generally hold the fort for six months.

The London LGBTQ+ Community Centre is an award-winning charity launched by a team of volunteers in 2017. In December 2021 we opened our first physical space in London’s bankside.
