JOB PURPOSE
We are looking for a Philanthropy Manager who is passionate about high value fundraising, relishes the challenge of growing a pipeline and is motivated by UNHCR’s work.
You will join our small but talented Philanthropy Team playing a key part in identifying and bringing on board new, prospective donors, as well as growing relationships and income from donors already supporting UK for UNHCR.

ROLE RESPONSIBLITIES
- Grow prospect pipeline and the number of donors donating £10K+ to UNHCR’s work.
- Grow UK for UNHCR’s sustainable income by growing the number of multi-year donors funding our programmes outside of emergencies.
- Work with the wider international organisation to identify the most appropriate funding propositions for donors.
- Craft compelling propositions and proposals for major donors and ensure quality and timely reporting back on gifts made.
- Work closely with the IG team to manage the transition of mid-value donors to the major donor programme.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE
Essential Experience

SUDC UK was founded in 2017 to raise awareness of Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC), encourage and fund scientific research and offer support and advice to affected families. ROLE PURPOSE
The Fundraising Officer will be a vital member of the Mass Fundraising team, responsible for supporting all activity across Community and Events. MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Events Fundraising
- Assist in the planning and execution of a diverse range of fundraising events, including challenge events and community initiatives.

Responsibilities
· Working closely with the Corporate Partnerships Manager to drive the Trust’s fundraising appeals and events
· Working with the Corporate Partnerships Manager to develop an appeals strategy that looks to establish and grow fundraising from individuals
· Cultivating and recruiting new and existing supporters, donors and fundraisers to actively engage in the fundraising and events activities
· Establish, develop and manage a volunteer appeals board, made up of internal and external stakeholders

The post holder will work with the Fundraising Manager to work on diversifying the fundraising streams for Carers in Hertfordshire. Depending on your fundraising experience. you will be responsible for proactively developing our supporter category in the forms of corporate support, or individual giving, or major donors. The aim is to diversify our income streams and generate ongoing, long-term support.
