Now is an exciting time to join the corporate partnerships team at Blood Cancer UK. We have spent the last two years building and cultivating our pipeline and have seen exciting wins as a result of this work, raising over £5million from the insurance sector.
We have seen record breaking corporate partnerships income in the last two years and we want that growth to continue – but we know there are more opportunities than we can capitalise on with our team the size that it is. The fundraising team has ambitious targets over the next 3 – 5 years, and we won’t reach them if we’re leaving potential partnerships behind.
We’re looking for an ambitious and tenacious new business fundraiser to help us bring new partnerships to the charity, and ultimately raise more money to deliver the change we want to see for people with blood cancer.

Majority of our roles can be performed hybrid which means you will be required to attend the office once a quarter for team meetings and regular travel for donor meetings will be required, currently a lot of our donor meetings are in London.

The role

An exciting position has arisen for a Challenge Events Fundraiser to work for a leading charity based in South East London. This is a permanent role within the hospice’s busy Fundraising team, responsible for planning and executing a variety of challenge events to support the hospice’s vital work in the local community.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Develop and deliver a diverse and successful calendar of challenge events, including third-party and hospice-led events such as marathons, skydives, and overseas treks
- Provide excellent stewardship and personalised communication to event participants, ensuring long-term supporter engagement
- Work collaboratively with the Community & Events Manager and the Communications and Marketing teams to create engaging marketing materials and event plans
- Ensure all events comply with Health and Safety, GDPR, and Fundraising Regulator Code of Practice standards
- Manage event budgets, track KPIs, and report on income and costs against targets
- Build and maintain relationships with external suppliers and partners, such as tour operators and event organisers
- Conduct post-event evaluations to capture insights, improve future events, and maximise supporter retention

- Proven experience in event management, ideally in a fundraising or charity environment

About the role
We’re looking for a creative Senior Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser, who wants to grow their existing experience of working with five and six figure asks to grow their skills by supporting the senior team with preparing compelling proposals to secure funding of 6 and 7 figure bids. Overall Purpose of the Head of Research
The Philanthropy and Trusts Manager is an exciting new role at Guts UK and will be integral to delivering our new fundraising strategy, enabling us to grow our income to meet our ambitious strategic aims.

Following its successful relaunch, the Air Cadet Charity is seeking a highly motivated Trust and Major Donor Fundraiser to help it achieve its aims of supporting and developing the young people of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The Air Cadet Charity, until now, has had to rely on donations but Trustees have decided to expand our income generation streams in order to enable us to do more for each and every Royal Air Force Air Cadet. Our activities and projects include supporting flying, adventurous training, drone piloting, participation in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme, national sports and national music competitions, BTEC qualifications, STEM development as well as many others. Although the Charity had been around in a different guise for many years this is an opportunity to join a vibrant young charity at the start of its new journey to do more for the young people of our Nation.
The role will focus chiefly on sourcing funding from charitable trusts who share our goal of developing our young people, equipping them with the skills to prosper not only in the present but also for the rest of their lives. Some cadets will join the Royal Air Force, but the majority go on to forge careers in all walks of life thanks to the opportunities provided by the Air Cadets and the Air Cadet Charity. Our policy is to spend all that we earn and to dip into our capital if required. Annual expenditure and income is around £900,000 each year and our aim is to increase this to around £1,500,000 by 2029. The successful applicant will have tried and tested charitable trust fundraising skills such that they contribute the majority of the additional funds required to make this ambition a reality although we recognise that this will not be an overnight goal! In addition, the successful candidate will have outstanding interpersonal skills enabling them to encourage donations from major donors and all who would wish to support the development of our young people.
The role will work directly to the Charity Director, will suit someone who is able to work as the sole fundraiser – although there may be scope to increase our resources as our ambition grows – and not afraid of hard work and added responsibility. It will be primarily working from home with regular contact with the Charity Director and the Trustees responsible for fundraising.
Pitching, presenting and proposal writing should be a strength, that can be evidenced through successful fundraising. Specific knowledge of charitable trust fundraising is essential and wider knowledge of other fundraising specialisms would be advantageous, such as Major Donor and Corporate. We’re looking for a proactive and ambitious team player, able to work from your own initiative.
Key Focus areas
- Expert knowledge of charitable trust fundraising with a track record in designing and securing major gifts through written and/or verbal proposals.
- A track record in securing income from individual donors, Major Donors and Philanthropists including knowledge of legacy fundraising.

Job Description
Manage high-value partnerships
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing five and six-figure corporate partnerships, ensuring a first-class stewardship journey that maximises partnership value and delivers on agreed objectives.
- Provide excellent stewardship of existing corporate partners, including engaging with employees and delivering timely and impactful partnership reporting, ensuring that all partnership activity is compliant with relevant legislation and regulations.
Drive new business
- Work with our Fundraising Prospect Research & Administration Intern and Senior Corporate Partnerships Lead to identify, develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective corporate partners and diversify the partner portfolio, conducting research, making approaches, and securing meetings to drive income and impact.
- Work closely with the Senior Corporate Partnerships Lead and wider team to create compelling, innovative, and bespoke partnerships proposals that meet the needs of corporate partners, while aligning with the charity's strategic priorities.
- Pitch/present proposals to potential new partners.
Plan and strategise
- Work with the Senior Corporate Partnerships Lead to develop and implement the corporate partnerships plan and forecast financial targets within the wider fundraising strategy.
- Use Salesforce to manage the accurate recording and forecasting of corporate income, enabling efficient reporting and KPI management.
Line Manage
- Line manage the Corporate Partnerships Executive and support their professional development, providing direction, support and guidance.
Communicate and collaborate
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including Marketing, Fundraising, Impact and programme delivery teams, to ensure that partnership activity is integrated into wider organisational activity and aligned with the charity's overall objectives.

- Proven track record in securing new supporters at a five or six figure level, across either corporate partnerships or philanthropy.

Main Responsibilities
As one of our regionally dispersed Community Fundraiser's, you'll be joining a busy team, where you will manage relationships with our key supporters with the primary purpose of generating income across a geographical area, through community fundraising activities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering income targets across the region by building strong relationships with individuals, local companies, community groups and volunteers, in line with our community fundraising strategy. You will also be responsible for the management and support of local third-party events in your region and in providing excellent stewardship to those supporters.
This role is home-based with regular travel across the region. There will also be regular travel to Diabetes UK offices for meetings.
Ideal Candidate
You'll be able to demonstrate a track record of meeting income targets through relationship fundraising. You'll be experienced in building and maintaining relationships with supporters and colleagues. A proactive person, you'll be self-motivated and able to work independently with a solution focussed approach. As an experienced fundraiser, you'll be confident working towards income and expenditure targets and reporting on financial progress. It is desirable that you have managed and secured corporate partnerships and have event management knowledge, though training will be provided.
You will have a passion for building excellent relationships with your supporters to increase loyalty and life-long relationships with the charity.

Additional Information

Overview of the role
A key role in the fundraising team, responsible for providing stewardship and support to Glass Door’s event & community fundraisers, while supporting the Fundraising Manager to achieve the team’s income targets.
What you will do as part of our team
Community and Event Fundraising Support
- Build and maintain relationships with community and event fundraisers, ensuring they are supported before, during and after their events.
- Support on certain fundraising, cultivation and stewardship events, including the annual Sleep Out and the annual supporter thank you event.
- Draft copy for, update and create community and event fundraising pages on the Glass Door website and promotional emails which can be sent through the Glass Door mailing platform.
- Support with identifying new prospective community supporters and assist with the development and fulfilment of targeted approaches.
- Ensure all supporters are thanked in a timely manner after their event.
- Manage the Glass Door Christmas carol concert, working with the Communications team to promote and market the event.

Other Fundraising Support
- Develop Glass Door’s schools giving programme, including designing engaging fundraising packs, writing successful charity of the year applications and delivering presentations and assemblies.
- Support on church fundraising, including delivering presentations to churches, attending fundraising events, promoting appeals and Glass Door events (e.g. Sleep Out) and liaising with church staff.
- Manage the process for soliciting, monitoring, thanking and recognising donations in kind, working with colleagues across the organisation.
Fundraising Administration
- Working with Finance and the Income Processing Assistant to ensure accurate and timely processing of donations, including scanning cheques, coding bank transfers and web donations, entering details in CRM database, banking cash, setting up Direct Debits, receiving in-kind donations and acknowledging/thanking donors via email or post.
- Create and update donor records on CRM, ensuring records are kept up to date, accurate and consistent at all times.
- Ensure all charity fundraising activity (including "in aid of" events) is compliant with relevant charity and statutory legislation and recognised code of practice.
