Role summary

You’ll be raising funds primarily for School Plates, the flagship UK programme, to help school menus to become healthier and more planet-friendly by increasing the quality, quantity, and uptake of plant-based food. 

The programme is growing rapidly. Now working with 70 major school caterers feeding over 1 million children daily, we’ve roughly doubled our reach in each of the last two years. With a new educational programme to teach children about their food choices launching this year, and our School Plates Awards and Global Plant-based School Food Network both expanding considerably, there is a need to significantly grow our income.

The role is primarily a combination of major donor and corporate fundraising to complement our existing trusts and foundations fundraising. You’ll be an experienced relationship builder, a driven and enthusiastic self-starter, and an excellent project manager. Responsibilities

• Lead on UK fundraising, focusing on major donors and corporates.

• Develop a creative 3-year fundraising strategy, and draft annual and quarterly objectives.

• Research, identify, and secure new major donors, and develop individual cultivation strategies for prospective donors, moving them along a prospect pipeline.

• Support the stewardship of existing major donor relationships, keeping them informed and involved in our work to secure their continued support. 

• Draft theories of change, cases for support, and other relevant written materials.

• Build on our vision for a successful ‘donor circle’.

• Devise creative ideas for corporate partnerships, and develop relationships with a range of organisations sympathetic to our aims, developing cultivation plans for each.

• Contribute to drafting applications to trusts and foundations, if required.

• Contribute to the fulfilment of our reporting requirements.

Person Specification

• 5+ years of experience of fundraising at an NGO.

• A track record of identifying and securing significant or multi-year, five-figure funds from donors and/or corporates.

• Evidence of writing successful proposals and reports.

• Excellent project management and organisational skills with the ability to lead and work collaboratively.

• Significant experience in researching and developing strong stakeholder relationships.

• Strategic and impact-driven.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective listening, objection handling, and negotiation skills.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, including confident demeanour and experience in engaging with a diverse range of high-net-worth individuals. 

• Experience with organising or contributing to inspiring events for major donors.

• Willingness to travel nationally

• Passion for and commitment to ProVeg's mission.

Your role also involves representing Royal British Legion locally, engaging in outreach activities, and providing updates to key stakeholders. Flexibility is essential, as some evenings, weekends, and overnight stays may be required. The successful candidate will embody the values of the Royal British Legion, demonstrating empathy with its mission and objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess commercial knowledge, financial management skills, and experience in supporter relationship management. Strong planning, organizational, and IT skills are necessary, as is the ability to assess the commercial implications of decisions. Over the last six years CW+ has grown its fundraising programme extensively and is now seeking a Philanthropy Manager to join their team at a crucial stage in their Thirty at Thirty major appeal – its ambitious programme to raise £30m to celebrate the Trust’s 30th birthday. The role will be responsible for cultivating and securing gifts from existing and new high-value donors, with a focus on securing five and six figure donations.  The post-holder will initiate, foster and develop rich, long-term relationships with donors capable of giving transformational support to CW+ and develop and grow the current major giving pipeline and portfolio of major gifts from high net worth individuals.

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. We also campaign for systems change that addresses the root causes of offending, reduces the harmful impact of prison, and creates workable, community-based alternatives to imprisonment.

The role:

· Identify corporate partnership opportunities. This will involve conducting research to manage and grow a pipeline of corporate partnerships opportunities worth £50k+ and/or with significant media and communications value.

· Develop cultivation plans for key prospects and target industries to increase support for the Childhood Trust.

· Proactively approach and build new relationships with corporates, securing and attending meetings.

· Develop and deliver high quality communications to secure new corporate partnerships. For example, this could include brochures, proposals, and pitches which communicate the charity’s work, strategy, and a case for why companies should support the Childhood Trust.

· Work collaboratively with the Account Management team to embed new partnerships to ensure they are managed appropriately.

· Contribute to setting the annual budget and carrying out regular review of the pipeline

· Contribute to the ongoing development and execution of The Childhood Trust’s strategic goals.

 Person Specification:

· Proven track record of personally soliciting corporate partnerships at the six-figure level and above

· Experience of dealing with C-suite individuals and senior volunteers

· Excellent personal presentation and communication skills, and attention to detail

· High level of numeracy, IT literacy and competence

What does the Global Grant Manager, Finance & Operations role involve? 

The Global Grants Manager is a critical role at CPI, primarily focused on enhancing the operational efficiency and financial compliance of our grant funded programmes. Reporting directly to the Acting Global Director of People, Finance, and Operations, this position requires a strategic thinker with a strong foundation in finance and grants management, who will work closely with programmatic teams and partner with stakeholders across the organisation. 

The role will involve working directly with large global funders, as well as directly with sub grantees and suppliers on CPI programmes. This role will also provide overall finance support to our Europe team in collaboration with our Global Senior Associate, Finance and Operations. Our managers have overall responsibilities, obligations and duties around finance, budget performance, and strategic development. They create protocols and policies needed to help with organisational and programmatic delivery. This role will be responsible for receiving and reviewing partner expenditures and reports and preparing consolidated financial reports for donors as well as be accountable for day to day grant management and administration.

As someone whose work will include building relationships with everyone at CPI, you will be responsible for making sure our global teams are set up to succeed and assist in keeping our workplace a great place to work for everyone. This role will largely be focused on our Europe team, however you will support all CPI regions worldwide. 

Key responsibilities include: 

Finance & Accounting

• Support efficient operations in accounts receivable and accounts payable in Europe and other CPI regions where required

• Support donor compliance during reporting by using the right templates and budgetary ceilings as applicable 

• Assist the Finance & Operations team during the month end process to ensure that all balance sheet items are all accounted and reconciled with their respective subsidiary ledgers and/or schedules and all contra or clearance accounts are cleared at the end of every month

• Assist the Finance & Operations team in preparing annual financial plans for effective financial management of the global teams

• Assist the Finance & Operations team in preparing monthly management reports and performing bi-monthly forecasting

• Contracting & Operations

  • Work with global teams in drafting funder, grantee and/or supplier contracts to support the delivery of our programmatic activity

  • Onboarding suppliers into our financial systems and ensuring purchase orders are raised that follow our internal financial policies & procedures

  • Liaise with legal, auditors and other advisors to ensure CPI’s operations in Europe remain legally compliant

  • Work with Finance & Operations team on maintaining and updating risk registers to track key corporate risks and ensure mitigants and financial controls are working as expected

  • Work with the CPIE team to ensure a financial risk assessment is maintained and updated and addressing any suspicions of fraud in line with policy

• Audits

  • Work with the CPIE team and F&O team to ensure programmes are audit ready

  • Coordinate donor audits on assigned programmes

  • Support the team in ensuring that any recommendations and actions resulting from audits are duly actioned and implemented

• Donor & Grants Management

  • Support our project teams to ensure programmes are implemented in line with Donor policies and requirements 

  • Lead the sub granting process for all implementing partners and consortiums in collaboration with the relevant regional/project teams

  • Ensure that the necessary information is documented, tracked and updated on the appropriate financial transaction and reporting tools

  • Lead on the preparations of budget versus actuals to support ongoing grants decision, identify deviations in implementation progress and flag delays/request for support

  • Proactively update Senior leadership on progress, risks and financial status

Who are we looking for? 

The person we’re looking for will:

• Be passionate about CPI’s vision for reimagining government

• Have 4+ years work experience in financial grant administration within the non-profit/charity sector, including managing large transactions.

• Strong understanding of grant regulations, compliance requirements, and financial management principles.

• Proven project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading and delivering projects on time and within budget.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

• Prior experience using financial transaction, reporting and accounting software is essential, CPI currently uses  Xero and Approval Max so experience of using these tools would be highly desirable . Please note that this is a technical role and these skills are non-negotiable for us.

The Education and Impact Manager will project manage our work across subject areas (social, democratic and legal education) and across educational phases (mainly primary and secondary). In addition, this role will lead our evaluation processes so we can evidence the impact and outcomes of our work against our theory of change.

Hours: Full-Time - 10am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, inclusive of breaks, although it is expected that there will be occasions where evening and weekend work is required in order to fulfil the requirements of the post. The postholder will be eligible for TOIL in accordance with The Old Vic’s TOIL policy.

Salary: £34,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience

Role Summary

The purpose of the post is:

• To organise and deliver a range of on-site corporate, donor, Capital and other ad-hoc events generated by the Development department, such as drink receptions, seated dinners, backstage talks, private building tours, press nights and corporate training events. In collaboration with the Head of Events, taking ownership of, and leading on, a combination of these events.
• To assist in the delivery of all major fundraising events.
• To lead on all events administrative duties including managing the schedule of events and communicating information to internal departments, external suppliers and sponsor stakeholders.

Your Team

The Development Events Manager is essential to deliver events that support the aims of the team and organisation.

We are at a key stage in our fundraising efforts, as we continue to raise funds for our capital development, a new Backstage building adjoining the existing historical building, which will house a new studio theatre, learning centre and café/workspaces over five storeys. Ground has been broken on this exciting project and we aim to open it in 2025.

You will be joining a high performing Development team who take great pride in their work to raise income for The Old Vic. Whilst you’ll sit within the wider Development team, the events team is a busy team consisting of the Events Manager and Head of Events. Your skills will lie in organisation, teamwork, superb attention to detail and event planning and delivery.

Areas of responsibility

The Development Events Manager will be responsible for:

Event Planning & Organisation:

• Prior to a show going on sale, working with the Development team to schedule all the department’s event requirements, ensuring tickets and spaces are held in good time
• Support in organising all event logistics such as catering, drinks, flowers, furniture hire, entertainment, lighting and negotiating the best price with external contractors

• To manage relationships with clients, suppliers and internal Old Vic teams to the highest possible standards
• Ensure guest speakers are booked in, sending timely reminders and speech/briefing notes
• Approaching creative teams, The Old Vic’s Senior Management team, and cast to ensure they attend the necessary events
• Liaising with wider Development team to gather any outstanding information for upcoming events
• Completing events memos and confidently discussing them at weekly meetings

• Planning and managing all event deadlines and ensuring information is circulated and received in good time with internal stakeholders, external clients and suppliers; such as RSVPs, final numbers and dietary requirements
• Supported by the Head of Events, plan and deliver 1-2 Press Night parties a year
• Leading on the scheduling, planning and delivery of The Old Vic’s lucrative and developing Corporate Training programme, including liaison with and contracting of facilitators, external clients, caterers and Stage Team, booking space and producing schedules, while working closely with the Corporate Development officer to ensure outstanding quality of delivery.

Event Delivery:

• Attending evening, early morning and weekend events as and when required

• Overseeing the event setup, ensuring all requirements are met. Delivering the event in partnership with the Event Duty Manager and representing the Development team at events
• Being the central contact for the Event Duty Manager, Event Team, caterer, suppliers, internal stakeholders and external clients
• Managing guest arrival and confidently circulating staff and cast around the room with the support of relevant senior team members
• Corporate Training events (including offsite Corporate Training)
• To support colleagues and Head of Events with the delivery of the Backstage building’s event activity

Event Support for Major Events:

• Providing general administrative and event management support for major or ad-hoc fundraising events that may be planned. This support would include:
  • Supporting the Head of Events in many aspects of event scheduling, planning and delivery
  • Selling tickets, overseeing guest communications and marketing
  • To collate all T&Cs for the auction lots and upload copies onto external online site
  • Generating ideas for the auction and proactively making asks
  • Compiling the programme, liaising with the graphic designer
  • Working closely with the Head of Events and Producer to manage all talent communication and logistics, and assisting with the pastoral care of actors, creative and production staff
  • Organising travel, itineraries, booking tickets, and arranging accommodation as required
  • Scheduling team briefings and preparing briefing content/packs and contact sheets

Overseeing the live event lifecycle alongside the Head of Events, Producer and Production Manager; supporting the team with any requests and assistance on the day

• Post-event maintenance will include taking payments for pledges/auction prizes; sending thank you gifts and arranging debriefs
• Once the event has wrapped, the Events team continues to deliver auction prizes year-round.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Organising signatures for memento books and auction prizes
• To ensure Risk Assessments are in place for all event activity. Representing the Development/ Events team as the Health and Safety representative
• Maintaining the calendars used by the Events team to utmost accuracy:
  • Keeping the management of the Clash Calendar and Skedda system up to date with new/cultural events, holidays, etc.
  • Booking in additional events as they arise
• Booking tickets for some events and ad-hoc where necessary via Tessitura; maintaining event attendance on Tessitura
• Processing payments, raising POs and ensuring all events run within an agreed budget
• Representing The Old Vic as part of the Development Events Network; undertaking proactive steps to build industry contacts and create supportive networks with peer organisations

Person Specification

This role would be suitable for someone with relevant events experience, within the arts/charity sectors, looking to develop a career in fundraising and event management at The Old Vic.

• Prior experience coordinating and leading events autonomously within an arts organisation
• Demonstrable organisational skills, ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and manage several tasks at once
