The aim of Advice Service Supervisor is to maintain a consistent quality of advice and help for clients by providing support, guidance and feedback on a day to day basis. There are 3 main areas:
- ensuring quality - actively supporting the quality of advice by guiding the team to information sources, checking that all aspects of a client's situation have been considered, checking that follow up work is progressed, and that research and campaigns issues are identified
- providing support - actively supporting each team member to develop their skills and competences, by explaining, guiding, demonstrating, encouraging, suggesting, coaching, giving constructive feedback and challenging appropriately - adapting the level of support to individual competence and need, and taking account of the team as a whole
- managing the practicalities - overseeing and managing all practical issues relating to the session - allocating the team to face-to-face work or other communication methods, checking waiting times or interview lengths, and if necessary, dealing with client or Citizens Advice emergencies
Requirements
- A minimum of 12 months experience of advice work in a Citizens Advice setting or similar quality assured environment.
- Ability to effectively manage and support people to meet individual and team objectives.
- Ability to monitor and maintain Quality of Advice standards including checking accuracy of advice and benefit calculations.
- Good understanding of safeguarding principles and willingness to adhere to them
- Experience of using ICT systems and packages, and electronic resources in the provision of advice, record keeping and document production.
- Ability to work on own initiative and be flexible to business need.
- Demonstrable understanding of the issues affecting society and their implications for Citizens Advice clients and service provision.
- Ability to create a positive working environment in which equality, diversity and inclusion are well managed, dignity at work is upheld and staff are empowered and motivated to do their best.

The Fundraiser will play a key role in raising funds and awareness for the Friends of Bereaved Families Forum, a UK charity established to support the work of the Parents' Circle in Israel and Palestine.
This individual will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies, cultivating donor relationships, and ensuring the sustainability and growth of our programs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, excellent communication skills, and a passion for the peace mission and values of the Bereaved Families Forum.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Fundraiaser will work in close consultation with the Chair, Trustees and with members of the Steering Committee in carrying out the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with the organization's goals. Develop strategies to expand, enhance and cultivate the current donor base. Set targets for fundraising and report against targets.
- Identify new donors and cultivate existing donors. seek new sources of funding such as charitable foundations and trusts. Submit grant applications and reports, as needed.
- Develop and maintain database of donors and donations.
- Constantly follow PCFF activities, projects, achievements, and evolving content matter. Work closely with the PCFF Israeli-Palestinian fundraising team to address needs and identify opportunities.
- Organisation of speaking visits to the UK by PCFF representatives. Plan programme of events and manage relevant arrangements, bookings, etc. Designing and executing a programme of awareness-raising and fundraising events, marketing, and alumni engagement.
- Maintain and increase FBFF’s media presence – in Jewish, Christian, Muslim and national press.
- Field general queries from external groups and individuals.
- Newsletter - produce and distribute periodic written/visual material about FBFF activities for the newsletter and translating/adapt relevant PCFF materials for UK audiences. Constantly increase distribution and readership.
- Constant update of social media and website – [may work with website maintainer on improving design]
- Steering Committee - set up and attend meetings, prepare agendas, reports, minutes, and other relevant documentation – and work closely with members to initiate and develop activities.
- Reporting - monthly, in a format to be agreed to the Chair and Trustees on activities, achievements, and future plans.

The National House Project (NHP) takes a ground-breaking approach through its commitment to young people’s ownership to enable young people leaving care to lead connected and fulfilling lives. The approach was co-designed with young people from the start and works on cooperative and social pedagogical principles through a groupwork approach which is supported by adults and young people in and leaving care working together. Using a psychologically informed relational practice framework young people gain skills, knowledge and the confidence to make their house a home and build a long-term community of support.
NHP supports Local House Projects (LHP) to put young people at the centre of the decision-making processes, challenges staff to work with them in an inclusive way and encourages staff to support young people to find the solutions to the challenges they face. LHP achieve improved outcomes for young people, supports professionals in the ways that they work with young people and enable young people to leave care in a supported and ‘less scary’ way.
To ensure that young people are involved at every level of the organisation, each LHP is represented by 2 young people at regional meetings and from these forums, young people elect their representatives for Care Leavers National Movement. CLNM provides a forum to develop practice, share ideas and find solutions to challenges. The Chair and Vice Chair of CLNM are supported by CLNM Champions and sit on the Board of Trustees as expert advisors.
To support the expansion of the Charity we have increased our strategic capacity by creating the post of Deputy Director and are now recruiting to the practice lead roles. We are looking for someone who is motivated, believes that with the right support care experienced young people can achieve great things and should be at the heart of any decision that affects their future. You will support staff in LHPs to create an environment where young people transition to adulthood in a positive and supported way and hence an understanding of child development, social pedagogical approaches and psychologically informed care are important. About the organisation
Look Good Feel Better is a national cancer charity devoted to delivering workshops that help people living with a cancer diagnosis to cope with the physical and emotional side effects of their treatment. Delivered by trained volunteers from the beauty industry, the free workshops offer practical advice about changes to skin and hair as well as supporting body confidence and well-being. The Role
The charity is now embarking on a significant growth plan which will see a trebling in the number of beneficiaries supported (from 10,000 to 30,000 within four years). Apart from delivering targeted legal advice and representation and identifying and running strategic litigation cases, the role holder will be required to think creatively to assist in fundraising and campaigning to develop a sustainable legal service. BEO does not have a Legal Aid Agency contract so self funds all legal work. BEO is a small team, so the role holder must have the skills and confidence to work on their own initiative as well as with members of other teams in BEO.

Leading a small and passionate team of employees and volunteers to develop the use of the Harefield Hub space and deliver youth provision and the food pantry. The role will be focussed on the East Southampton community surrounding Oasis Academies Mayfield and Sholing and the Harefield Hub space. Working together with the Strategic Community Development Lead you will also be part of the Oasis Community development across Southampton.
Key responsibilities will be:
· To build positive and supportive working partnerships with the local community, supporting them to access Hub services and activities to develop their skills, knowledge and aspirations.
· To work with the Strategic Community Development Lead to create a plan to deliver joined up services that address the needs of the local neighbourhood, including community projects, holiday provision, and volunteer, family and youth support.
· Provide leadership and line management to, the youth project and the pantry leads, building a positive and well-functioning team that models the Oasis ethos and values. Supporting them in the day to day running and development of these projects.
· Lead on all aspects of the day-to-day administration and supervision of a team of volunteers and their activities, developing and inspiring them to develop best possible practice to meet the needs of the local Hub deploying volunteers’ strengths and acting as an authentic role model.

The Position
The Director, People Team works closely with Executive Director and the European Senior Leadership Team (ESLT) to lead the European People Team. Essential Responsibilities
