You will be joining our fantastic Fundraising team who work with trusts, foundations, institutions, companies, and individuals to ensure the charity has the funds and relationships necessary to achieve our aims.
This brand new role will be responsible for both Events and Corporate Partnership fundraising, with the initial, primary focus being on developing and delivering an events programme. Corporate fundraising responsibilities will include managing a portfolio of existing partnerships and where there are opportunities, developing new corporate relationships. This is an incredibly exciting role for the right candidate as you will be able to help shape the direction of the role for the charity.
Events is a relatively new area for the charity and we anticipate the events programme will, in the main, support our corporate partners and provide a varied package of engagement opportunities for our growing base of employee volunteers. These, and other events, will help raise vital funds as well as networking and new business development opportunities.
We’re looking for someone who has experience of a similar role/s. You will have great people skills and experience of building and maintaining strong relationships. You will be enthusiastic, driven and creative with a can-do attitude and have exceptional planning and organisational skills. This role will have periods of high intensity.
As we all work remotely, you will also need to be a self-starter and be able to work independently. We would expect a thorough understanding and commitment to LTSB’s vision, mission, and work.

Post Summary
Free Tibet is a small but effective campaign organisation based in south London. We’re looking for a Fundraising Manager who can transform our routine fundraising and lead expert strategies for income generation. This role is best suited to an experienced fundraiser who is confident in managing multiple streams of income and a small team. We welcome applications from candidates with diverse professional backgrounds, but you need to have worked in a fundraising management role before.
We are currently implementing a pay grading system at Free Tibet, offering increases with each year of service. The salary for this position starts at up to £45,000 based on the successful candidate’s experience.
Location
Our main office is in Brixton, south London. We encourage applications from candidates across the UK and are willing to discuss hybrid working, but ideally the successful candidate would be able to travel to the office at least one day per week. Some evening availability is also required for quarterly board meetings, which are carried out online. Unfortunately, we cannot support relocation, so can only accept applications from candidates with the right to work in the UK.

Fundraising

Oversee all income-generation activity across Free Tibet and Tibet Watch. Ensure continuous improvement and innovation and an appropriate balance of fundraising activity across all streams. Current streams include postal appeals, online appeals, and the Free Tibet online shop.

Manage applications for grant funding on behalf of both Free Tibet and Tibet Watch, working with the Fundraising Officer to build a strong portfolio of five and six-figure grants and steward them for renewal.

Lead on the recruitment and retention of donors, especially Major Donors, and redevelop supporter journeys and stewardship programs.

Evaluate new ideas for income generation and strategies for implementation, especially corporate and challenge events / community fundraising.

Impact reporting of fundraising activity and the performance of quarterly appeals, with a view to improve internal processes for greater income innovation and ROI.

Liaise with the Free Tibet Campaigns & Research Teams to ensure that campaigning, digital and fundraising activities are seamlessly coordinated.

Managing relationships with third party agencies, like mailing services and digital mobilisation agencies, making sure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standard.

Job Purpose
This is a new role, joining a small and growing Fundraising Team, with responsibility for proactively leading the cultivation and stewardship of potential and existing major donors, grant-making trusts, and corporate supporters, with a particular focus on driving significant income growth.
You will build and maintain lasting relationships with LMKs valued funders, thinking strategically and working closely with programme delivery colleagues to develop fundraising cases of support and impact reporting.
Reporting to the Head of Fundraising & Development, the successful candidate will join LMK’s core staff team, and will have a real input into our plans and strategies for the future by working with LMK staff, LMK Leaders (youth workers who deliver our workshops to young people), members of our Youth Advisory Board and trustees to develop and implement our long-term strategy.
Key responsibilities:
● Develop and deliver a structured and dynamic plan to engage high-value donors, trusts and corporate supporters.
● Understand supporter motivations, identifying opportunities across the Charity that inspire and engage, enabling supporters to achieve their fundraising goals.

JOB PURPOSE

Working directly into the Director of Corporate Partnerships & Fundraising the position will play a pivotal role in leading the strategic partnership delivery and fundraising events function for the Street Child/Liberty Global partnership, for which Liberty Global won 'Business of the Year' in the 2021 Third Sector Business Charity Awards. The role will:
1. Support excellent delivery of existing key pillars of the partnership with Liberty Global (e.g. annual 2-day European 'Big Ride' cycle/run/walk event; and spectacular Autumn London Fundraising Gala - with a combined attendance of 1,200+ & revenues of £2m+).
2. Explore and deliver on new activities and opportunities to further grow the quality and impact of the partnership, involving close collaboration with both internal and external Communications teams.
3. Work closely with our Partnership Development and New Business function to maximise the extraordinary potential of the warm introductions, often at a highly influential level, Liberty provide to their wider corporate community of subsidiaries, partners & vendors – spanning the tech, media, finance/banking, consulting, legal & other professional services spaces.
4. Support and lead on other cross-organisational events as required, including our Spring Gala and Christmas Carol Concert.
This is a phenomenal opportunity demanding a highly professional, strategic thinker and responsive fundraiser with strong relationship-building, and classic 'account management' skills. The role will suit an individual who thrives when working under pressure and with senior stakeholders and has had at least some experience in the delivery of major fundraising events. Job Purpose

Xenia is a grassroots women’s organisation on a mission to create more inclusive, equal and welcoming communities. We deliver weekly workshops in London and Sheffield which support women from all backgrounds, ages, faiths, cultures and immigration statuses to share, connect and learn together.
Participants are at the heart of the Xenia community. Migrant, refugee, asylum seeking, and British women come together as active equals at our workshops where we use the arts, heritage and power of conversation to connect, learn from each other and take part in local civic life. As an organisation Xenia is non-hierarchical and participatory, meaning decisions are made collectively and are proactively informed by participant involvement. Momentum Children’s Charity’s fundraising team is highly ambitious, driven by our goal to help families of seriously ill children in London, Surrey and Sussex to keep moving forward. Corporate income currently comprises circa 18% of the overall income. But with our expansion in hospital partnership geography, and aspiration to provide support to more families in the future, the expansion of this income stream will be key to this growth.

We are looking for a motivated, experienced individual to lead our corporate fundraising and partnerships, and help develop our grants income, enabling us to expand our work engaging and empowering communities across Britain. You’ll also feed into our advice for members across the community rail movement, to help them develop their approach to fundraising at a grassroots level.
About this role
This new role sits within our People & Funding team, aiming to support income growth and diversification, and resilience across the community rail movement. It’s an exciting opportunity to join a proactive, innovative organisation championing a unique cause, and advance your fundraising career.
The role does not have any direct reports but will work closely with our senior leadership team, events & fundraising manager and member support team, in support of our funding strategy and objectives.
Main responsibilities
- Provide account management to existing and new corporate relationships, nurturing effective, lasting relationships that help community rail to deliver on its aims around community development, sustainable travel, and inclusion.
- Carry out prospect research to identify new corporate supporters and relevant grant streams, and be proactive in developing new leads and connections.
- Liaise with, listen and pitch to existing and new funding leads to: understand our common interests and opportunities for working together to benefit community rail; convey the value they can derive from working with us or upping their support; and secure their ongoing commitment.
- Explore and develop joint grant bids by liaising with colleagues, our members and potential external partners to support grant applications that align with our strategic aims.
- Work cross-team and draw on member and partner insights to understand key funding needs and opportunities and create strong funding proposals and budgets in support of these.
- Work closely with the director of people and funding to develop our funding strategy and achieve success against our funding objectives.
- Help to build a strong fundraising culture and ethos across the organisation, and wider community rail movement, including feeding expert advice and input into our member support team, training and events.
- Participate and contribute to our wider work, in particular helping us to use key events and campaigns such as our Community Rail Awards, to support fundraising.
- Develop, monitor and maintain key systems and processes, such as effective funder reporting and review meetings, and monitoring and reporting on fundraising KPIs.
Skills, competencies and experience
- Skills and experience in third sector fundraising, preferably including corporate fundraising, funder reporting and grants, along with a broad understanding of the full fundraising mix and confidence in identifying and developing new opportunities.
- A demonstrable proactive approach to engaging with new and existing funders to set up and continually develop lasting relationships that support a cause.
- Ability to prepare high-quality funding proposals/grant applications and reports, adapting the communication style for different audiences and stakeholders to maximise impact.
- A skilled communicator (verbal and written) who can gather information and enthuse individuals both internally and externally.
- The ability to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities to meet deadlines.
- Appreciation of and commitment to community development, empowerment and sustainability, and the value of community engagement in relation to transport.
- Excellent organisational skills with firm understanding of KPIs, targets, budgeting, and risk mitigation plans.
- Proactive, positive and self-motivated, able to work on own initiative and inspire and enthuse others, and overcome hurdles to achieve results.
- IT literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, the internet and social media.
Other information
This post is home-based, but with some travel (including occasional overnight stays) for team meetings, events and external meetings. This is a permanent position and includes a probationary period of three months from the date of appointment. Your new role
The Corporate Fundraising Manager role is instrumental in driving the charities' mission forward by creating, managing and expanding their portfolio of corporate partnerships. The main responsibility is to produce business proposals using knowledge of fundraising strategies, donor development and grant writing. Other duties include:
- Research, approach and secure new corporate partnerships
- Fostering strategic relationships with corporate sponsors and donors
- Create and present compelling business proposals and pitches that are tailored to stakeholders to secure funding
- Evaluate the progress of fundraising campaigns, reporting key metrics to stakeholders
- Clearly communicate fundraising goals to stakeholders and corporate partners
- Act as an ambassador for the organisation, representing the charity at external events and other networking opportunities
- Undertake public speaking engagements and present to potential donors/ partners
- Maximise fundraising opportunities by collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to maximise income.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fundraising sales or income generation role.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and networking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational and project management skills
