What we do

Time & Talents is a lively, busy community centre in the heart of Rotherhithe, SE16. Set in a leafy heritage building, and ‘T&T2’, our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, we offer something for everyone. With a history of 137 years of supporting people of all ages in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, we bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship, with a wide range of services and activities for older people and other adults, along with volunteering and children and families’ projects. Since resuming services post-Covid, we have realized the needs and wants of the community have shifted from our previous offer. We have a strong Community Development programme to connect with and rebuild our offer, including some big changes to pre-Covid ways of working. Building on a strong track record, we intend to continue working with the community to deliver activities and events that meet local needs while also providing opportunities for fun and friendship. Our community offer includes activities connecting children to nature and tackling food insecurity; accessible community fitness and wellbeing activities; and intergenerational activities and events. We are re-developing our offer whilst staying focused on our aims: ensuring that everyone feels part of a community and that no one is isolated or lonely. We are looking for a fresh pair of eyes to help us evolve this work.

The role

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

• Strategic development and oversight of community programmes for children, adults and across multiple generations

• Leadership and line management of team; oversight of sessional facilitators and contractors used by team

• Setting programme budget and service targets; monitoring and evaluation to ensure delivery against these

• Playing a key part in building, broadening and developing new funding for these programmes and maintaining relationships with current funders

• Lead role in planning and execution of community events

• Development of corporate partnerships and CSR relationships

• Responsibility for general outward communications, including social media

• Contributing to the wider organisation as a member of the Senior Management Team

• Acting as Deputy Safeguarding Lead

About you

You have a track record of developing and delivering excellent community programmes in the third sector. You’re a seasoned team leader with experience of change management. You have an outwardlooking approach and are passionate about building programmes with community buy-in. You’re flexible, accountable, take responsibility, are highly organised and skilled in multitasking and balancing priorities. You have experience of fundraising and maybe other types of income generation. You have strong relationship building skills – internally and externally - and build trust and credibility easily. You are passionate about the power of community to connect and support people.

YMCA East Surrey is looking for an enthusiastic, well-organised and experienced HR Manager who has sound organisational skills, is an expert in managing a team who leads by example.

The HR Manager will have a strong understanding and experience of implementing recruitment good practice, HR systems and processes, and payroll administration.

Job Purpose: – Support the Senior Leadership Team with the implementation of YMCA East Surrey (YMCA ES) corporate strategy and, providing operational leadership to the HR team to ensure a professional and proactive HR service that fully supports the operational priorities of YMCA ES.

Hours of work:  35 hours per week. Monday to Friday  9am-5pm.

Main Responsibilities: 

– Provide professional and operational HR leadership to the HR team, ensuring that the HR team has clear objectives and associated work plans, perform to the highest standards and continues to be seen as a proactive, customer focussed and trusted partner to colleagues across YMCA ES at all levels.

The Catalyst Collective is an innovative and rapidly growing non-profit organisation. Since our pilot programme launched in January 2021, we have expanded significantly. As we enter our fourth year of operation, we are seeking an organised and proactive Programme Manager to play a pivotal role in driving our growth and ensuring the successful delivery of our mentoring programmes.

The Programme Manager will work closely with the Programme Director to lead and manage key components of our mentoring programme. This role will play a key role in delivering our ambitious policy influencing programme, helping to develop and advocate for the policy changes needed to reduce, prevent and eventually end the need for food banks in the UK. It will focus on developing Trussell policy positions in either employment support (especially for people with barriers to work) or disability and sickness benefits. The role will also lead the development and implementation of influencing plans in that policy area.

Role responsibilities

Summary

A key member of the Strategy and Planning team, the Programme Manager role will be responsible for embedding and managing Diabetes UK's impact measurement and reporting activities. This is a role that will work collaboratively and influence teams across Diabetes UK and will champion impact measurement. This role will contribute to continuous improvement in how Diabetes UK delivers its strategy to achieve outcomes for people living with and at risk of diabetes.

JOB PURPOSE 

We are seeking a dynamic, creative and experienced corporate partnerships new business expert to join our team.

This pivotal new role will be responsible for securing high-value, seven-figure (financial and non-financial) partnerships with corporate entities that protect and empower refugees globally.

The successful candidate will oversee the development and implementation of strategic partnership prospecting, manage relationships with key corporate prospects, and line manage a Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer.

This role is an 18-month fixed-term contract.

United Kingdom for UNHCR is the United Nations Refugee Agency’s national charity partner for the United Kingdom. We generate public awareness of the plight of refugees and raise funds to help protect them through UNHCR’s humanitarian operations across the world.

• Develop and deliver a new comprehensive business development strategy that will lead to seven-figure, sustainable corporate partnerships, delivering both unrestricted and restricted income.
• Coordinate market research to identify potential high value, strategic corporate partners that can deliver income, visibility and shared value for UK for UNHCR and UNHCR.
• Proactively approach prospects for partnership discussions. 
• Develop stewardship plans for top prospects, ensuring full use of senior leadership, technical colleagues and established private sector network.
• Develop unique combined financial and non-financial partnership propositions that lead to transformational partnerships.
• Lead the prospecting cycle: from first meeting, through to opportunity development, through to negotiation and contracting.
• Supervise and mentor a Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer.
• Work closely with internal teams, including Philanthropy and Communications, to align partnership efforts with organisational priorities.
• Remain flexible and quickly respond to emergency situations, identifying and responding to fundraising opportunities at pace.
• Represent UK for UNHCR at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and build connections.

We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated fundraiser to join our successful team as we embark on a major capital campaign to raise £150m. Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, this role will be responsible for personally securing six and seven-figure gifts from High-Net-Worth Individuals.

The Senior Philanthropy Manger will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy, the Senior Principal Gifts Manager and the rest of the Philanthropy team, feeding into the overall strategy of high-value partnerships. They will manage a portfolio of funder accounts which deliver long term, high-value strategic partnerships as well as building new relationships.

The Senior Philanthropy Manager will also manage 2 roles – Patrons Manager and a Philanthropy Manager (HNWI and Legacies), with oversight of both the Patrons Programme and Legacy programme.

Main tasks and responsibilities

· Manage a portfolio of prospects, in the UK and abroad, capable of making six and seven-figure gifts.

Person Specification

Essential

· Significant fundraising or income generating experience and a proven track record of securing income at the six-figure+ level.

Ways of Working:

Please note that the majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK, However, this role will require the post holder to be in our London, Farringdon office 1 day a week - usually on a Thursday.  This will be agreed with your Line Manager and team and is intended to be time spent on collaborating with colleagues and relationship building. Please note: travel costs to your contracted office will be at your own expense.
