About the role
We’re entering an ambitious new phase of growth. This expansion will enable us to deliver our vision – that by 2050, everyone with breast cancer will live and be supported to live well.
This growth phase means we are seeking to make new connections and attract new donors who can make transformative gifts. Gaining new business will be critical.
As our philanthropy manager, you’ll be integral to supporting income growth within our major gifts fundraising programme. This is a great opportunity if you are a talented major gift fundraiser who has comprehensive experience of successfully soliciting donations from high-net-worth individuals.
This is an externally focussed, relationship management role, concentrating on securing and maintaining long term relationships with high-net-worth donors. This will include identifying new opportunities to raise funds from prospective donors who could make significant financial commitments. You’ll then be responsible for engaging, cultivating, and stewarding these relationships.
The role will support a philosophy of proactive relationship building through cultivation and stewardship communications and activities. This will entail maintaining and maximising exiting donor relationships as well as attracting new business from a growing pool of new major supporters. You’ll ensure prospective donors are engaged with appropriate propositions, particularly from our extensive medical research portfolio.
This role will involve working closely with the head of philanthropy and associate director, philanthropy and special events. Developing good working relationships with the prospect researcher, research communications colleagues and other key internal stakeholders will also be vital.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join our ambitious team. It will offer the chance to use your skills, experience and enthusiasm to make a significant difference for all people affected by breast cancer.
About you
We’re looking for a highly self-motivated, innovative relationship manager who has well-developed understanding and knowledge of philanthropy. A natural and confident networker, you’ll be an exceptional communicator who thrives on making new business connections and building relationships with first time major donors. You’ll have demonstrable experience of soliciting at least 5 figure gifts from high-net-worth individuals and maintaining those relationships for repeat gifts. You’ll have a track record of meeting challenging income targets as well as experience of being part of high value asks alongside senior colleagues and/or senior volunteers

Emmaus Oxford is in the process of setting up a digital learning centre to deliver accredited digital literacy qualifications to our companions [what we call those ex-homeless men and women that form our community]. People experiencing socio-economic exclusion are further marginalised if they lack basic digital skills. A lack of digital proficiency can prevent companions at Emmaus from successfully engaging in essential life tasks, such as applying for jobs and housing, completing online forms (e.g. universal credit forms), paying bills, managing bank accounts, as well as day-to-day activities like booking / attending remote GP appointments.
We are conducting a 20-week pilot to deliver the Essential Digital Skills (EDS) Level 1 Qualification. The qualification will be offered onsite in our learning hub. Your role, as digital coach, will be to deliver the course to companions in a manner that supports their individual learning and well-being needs. The role includes recording lessons learned and making recommendations on the roll-out of further digital skills qualifications and courses
The Digital Coach will be responsible to deliver the Essential Digital Skills (EDS) Level 1 Qualification Pilot Project. You will support companions to develop digital and life skills so that they realise their full potential to find employment and move on from Emmaus when they are ready.

As an Employment Coach with our Employcare Project you will be supporting unpaid carers living in Manchester; providing support and coaching in order for them to re-enter paid employment or voluntary roles. The successful candidates will manage a small caseload of carers and provide them with 1:1 support, helping them overcome barriers to employment and training. You will be responsible for supporting them through every stage of their journey, enabling participants to address their barriers and realise their aspirations.

The funds raised through these sales play a pivotal role in supporting Blue Cross's mission: aiding sick, injured, and homeless pets and ensuring the care of over 40,000 animals each year through our rehoming, veterinary, and education programmes.
As our Assistant Shop Manager in Fleet, you'll work closely with the Shop Manager, overseeing day-to-day shop operations, including generating donations, managing displays and merchandising, coordinating stock deliveries and collections, maintaining records, and handling cash.
Additionally, you'll play a key role in recruiting, training, motivating, and managing a dedicated team of volunteers, ensuring they are aligned with our cause and equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in their roles. Together with the Shop Manager, you'll shape the shop's direction at a local level, fostering a welcoming and engaging environment for both customers and volunteers alike.
Our Fleet shop operates Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00. Your shift pattern may vary week by week to accommodate business needs and the availability of staff and volunteers, including weekend work and occasional lone shifts. Flexibility is key, as there may be time when you're required to cover for the Shop Manager, necessitating additional hours.
About you
You'll have previous experience in a retail environment and familiarity with cash handling and reconciliation. Excellent customer service skills are a must, along with the ability to provide a positive and welcoming experience for customers.
In this role, being a great team leader is important. You'll be able to motivate and guide a team of volunteers to ensure the seamless operation of the shop.
Flexibility is essential as the working schedule may change weekly to accommodate business demands and staff availability, often involving weekend shifts. Comfort with occasional lone working and willingness to work extra hours when necessary are crucial, showcasing adaptability and a proactive approach to shop management.
You will have:

Room to Heal is an established therapeutic community in London. We support refugees and people seeking asylum, many of whom are torture survivors, through an integrated programme of therapeutic and casework assistance, in the context of a community of survivors. Our approach recognises the political context of our community members’ multiple and ongoing experiences of trauma and marginalisation including in their home country, on their journey to, and within, the UK. Hours: 7.5 hours per day (typically 9.30am – 5.30 pm with a half hour for lunch) 5 days a week. We will also consider 4 days per week, salary pro-rata’d
Salary: £45,000 - 50,000 per annum (full time salary)

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To effectively plan and deliver an employability curriculum whilst embedding functional skills (Entry 3-Level 2) and/or delivering maths and English qualifications at these levels.
- Provide engaging teaching sessions that promote skilsl development and independence in the workplace.
- Implement appropriate assessment, target setting, recording, reporting and evaluation of the progress of the interns.
- Identify interns skills to enable them to participate in a variety of work-based tasks to build marketable, competitive skills leading to employment.
- Collaborate with the employers (Gardeners and Charity Shops) to create meaningful internship opportunities and facilitate successful work placements.
- To work alongside job coaches to perform specific workplace analysis, job analysis, task analysis, and job matching activities
- To seek appropriate future employment consistent with the interns interests and skills
- As a personal tutor, be responsible for the emotional and social welfare of the interns.
- Work with parents, local authorities and other supported internship stakeholders to support the progression of the interns

This role is at the forefront of what we do as an organisation. You will be working across Gloucestershire or Heerfordshire or South Gloucestershire , visiting people in their own homes and giving advice at community events.
This role is home-based but requires extensive travel within the area. It can be either full or part time.
As a Community-based Energy Adviser, you will focus on supporting and educating individuals and families who face barriers to accessing energy services and may be in fuel poverty. You will be working with people in their homes or advising them at events in their local community. You will support them through the process of managing and reducing debt, accessing funding and engaging with smart technology.
This can be a demanding role – some of your clients will be facing huge challenges – but it is extremely rewarding and you will be making a measurable difference to people’s quality of life. You will give at-risk consumers the knowledge and confidence to be more engaged in their energy use and able to make sound decisions to manage it — ultimately putting money back in their pockets and improving their resilience and wellbeing. You will be a positive, intuitive and caring ally, empowering people who are overwhelmed by the world of energy and who may be facing multiple economic and societal challenges.

Programme Development and Implementation
- Develop and implement mentoring programme and initiatives in alignment with the BelEve's goals and objectives.
- Implement programme guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and effectiveness in mentoring relationships.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify programme needs, goals, and target populations.
Mentor and Mentee Recruitment and Training
- Recruit and screen potential mentors and mentees, ensuring they meet programme criteria and expectations.
- Conduct training sessions for mentors and mentees, providing guidance on programme goals, roles, and responsibilities.
- Match mentors and mentees based on compatibility, interests, and goals, and facilitate introductions and initial meetings.
Relationship Management and Support
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to mentors and mentees throughout the duration of the mentoring relationship.
- Facilitate regular check-ins and evaluations to assess progress, address challenges, and provide feedback and support.
- Mediate conflicts or issues that may arise between mentors and mentees, providing guidance and resolution as needed.
Programme Evaluation and Reporting
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of mentoring relationships and programme activities, collecting feedback and data to assess impact and outcomes.
- Prepare regular reports on programme metrics, accomplishments, and challenges for internal and external stakeholders.
- Use evaluation findings to inform programme improvements and enhancements.

Collaboration and Outreach

Safeguarding
- Act as the Deputy Deputy Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)
- Collaborate with the Safeguarding Lead to review, update, and develop safeguarding policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with legal requirements and best practices.
- Support the dissemination and implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures throughout the mentoring programme.
- Provide support and guidance to staff, volunteers, and stakeholders on safeguarding-related matters, including responding to queries, concerns, and disclosures in a timely and appropriate manner.
Community Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with our community organisations, schools, government agencies, and other stakeholders to enhance collaboration and resource-sharing for youth development efforts.
