Role overview
You’ll help to prepare for, write and support on developing bids and proposals, helping Change Grow Live secure contracts and run high-quality health and social care services. These services support adults, children and young people, including around drugs and alcohol, homelessness and criminal justice.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Writing and editing bid responses
- Working with colleagues across Change Grow Live
- Completing online research, analysing data and working with partner organisations
- Creating presentations, diagrams and reports
- Helping improve how we do things.
This role is designed to support you through the beginning of your business development and bid writing career. We’ll provide you with support and training to develop and progress.

About The Role
Alongside our Marketing Officer, you’ll be responsible for successfully promoting our challenges to individuals, charities and corporates, with the primary aim of ensuring that monthly registration targets are met, but also with the aim of marketing Global Adventure Challenges’ services as a whole.
You will plan and deliver our digital marketing strategy, which involves, but is not limited to:
- Developing and implementing digital marketing strategies to individuals, charities and corporates, including but not limited to organic and paid social media, email marketing, search engine optimisation (SEO) and paid search and display advertising while adhering to deadlines
- Designing and monitoring all paid advertising, including but not limited to Meta and Google Ads
- Supporting our charity partners in their promotion of our events, including the production of marketing kits for new offers and events
- Working with our Charity Accounts Officer to create PowerPoint presentations for information evenings for our charity partners
- Managing the company website and ensuring that content is up to date, including challenge dates and itinerary details
- Writing creative copy including blog content for the website, ensuring content is optimised for search engine results
- Creating and scheduling regular marketing emails to our subscribers and charity and corporate partners using Dotdigital
- Designing and delivering all digital creative media including online challenge brochures, in addition to managing and maintaining the brochure website using WordPress. This requires a basic understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript to maintain functionality
- Creating a range of content using Adobe Creative Suite, including but not limited to content for the GAC website and social media channels in addition to providing design support to other areas of the business
Administrative tasks
- Reporting on KPIs from various marketing campaigns including but not limited to Google Ads, Meta Ads, email sends, search engine optimisation (SEO) and other marketing streams
- Providing regular reports and analysis on website usage and trends using GA4
- Accurately reporting the expenditure of marketing campaigns
- Producing PowerPoint Presentations for information events for charities, participants and corporates
- Recording accurate stock levels of all merchandise including but not limited to cycling jerseys, trekking t-shirts and place orders with our supplier as required
- Contributing towards the design and sales of merchandise via the company’s merchandise website
- Line-managing the Marketing Officer, providing guidance and supporting them in their management of our social media channels
Other tasks
- Developing and suggesting new marketing and client sourcing streams for the business
- Ensuring all correspondence (written and verbal) is to the highest standard

What we’re looking for:
- Extensive experience in a digital marketing role, including SEO, PPC, social media and email marketing
- Strong knowledge of website analytics tools including GA4 for tracking website performance
- Proven track record in allocating and managing budgets on paid channels, including Google and Meta Ads
- Experience managing WordPress websites, with basic HTML and CSS skills
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite to create image and video content (Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro)
- Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects whilst still meeting deadlines

About You
The Central Operations Assistant is responsible for supporting the Central Operations Manager with administrative support for the Society, which includes finance administration, membership and grants administration and journal sales processing. There is also a requirement for the postholder to support with some facilities management and office support activities.
The postholder will contribute to and support the Central Operations Manager and the Chief Operations Officer in the delivery of all of the Trustee Board’s strategic objectives and particularly in relation to long-term sustainability by maximising cost savings and efficiencies.

Wigan & Leigh Hospice is looking for a Marketing and Communications Manager to join our Business Development team.

From a fundraising perspective, you will help drive our fundraising activities and ensure efficient administration using the newly acquired ‘Donorfy’ database. This includes leading on the stewardship of donors and community fundraisers, managing our fundraising CRM database, and working on small and medium-sized trust and grant applications. You’ll also support digital campaigns and new initiatives, to encourage sustained support for our work. You’ll directly help to secure the financial support needed to expand OTR’s services and reach more beneficiaries. In addition, you’ll analyse the performance of our digital channels – interpreting website analytics, social media metrics, and email campaign results – to provide recommendations that enhance our communications strategies and ensure ongoing impact.

JOB PURPOSE
The Fundraising and Communications Executive will play a key role in implementing OTR’s fundraising and communications strategies. The role involves planning, creating, curating and managing high-quality digital content across our website, social media platforms and email marketing campaigns. Furthermore, you will support key areas of our fundraising strategy, including trust and grant applications, horizon scanning and ensuring excellent fundraising administration across all areas of activity.
This position is instrumental in supporting the Head of Fundraising in developing and strengthening OTR’s income streams and increasing awareness of OTR’s services through effective communications.
Specific role duties
Supporting the fundraising strategy
• Lead on OTR’s donor and community fundraiser stewardship through excellent communication and effective relationship management.
• Lead on the implementation of fundraising communications across channels.
• Responsible for small to medium size trust and grant applications, including horizon scanning
• Support the stewardship of small and medium-sized trusts and foundations including scoping, applications, reporting and funder management.

• Lead on ensuring our CRM (Donorfy) is utilised effectively to record, monitor and report on fundraising activity and income.
Social media
• Working with the Head of Fundraising, CEO and Volunteer Coordinator and Business Support Officer, contribute to OTR’s social media presence by creating and scheduling engaging, accessible, and informative content that resonates with our audience and supports OTR’s mission.
• Monitor social media platforms to ensure timely and appropriate responses to comments and messages.

• Regularly report on social media performance, using insights to inform future content and strategy.

Email marketing

• Assist in the promotion of key OTR events, such as the Big Charity Bash and annual Great South Run and other special events.

• Track and analyse the performance of email campaigns, providing reports and insights to the Head of Fundraising.
Content creation
• Create engaging, accessible, and informative content for OTR’s digital channels, including the website, social media and email marketing.
• Develop multimedia content (for example, videos and graphics) to enhance OTR’s
communication methods and increase engagement.
• Contribute to blogs, news articles and case studies that highlight OTR’s work, impact and achievements in the sector.
Brand and tone of voice
• Ensure that all digital content aligns with OTR’s brand, tone of voice and style,
maintaining a cohesive and recognisable identity across all platforms.
• Promote OTR as the leading place to turn to for support, ensuring that our content
reflects our professionalism, reputation and expertise.

Campaign Against Arms Trade is seeking an experienced IT manager on a part-time basis (21 hours per week) on a monthly rolling contract starting in May.
This role is hands-on with a broad responsibility of providing subject matter expertise along with general IT support, systems administration and project management.
