Practice Consultants act as a critical friend to local areas and services, supporting, advising and guiding them through a combination of free and paid-for expert support. You will build relationships with national partners and local areas to develop coordinated, dynamic responses to domestic abuse and related safeguarding issues, seeing the whole picture for each family member to keep people safe sooner.

In order to complement our existing expertise in the Practice team, we would be particularly interested to hear from applicants with backgrounds in domestic abuse, criminal justice, health and social work.

Job Role: To promote Forces Employment Charity Ex Forces Programme across the UK and provide employability and employment support for veterans in order that they find appropriate sustainable employment, or another Preferred Vocational Outcome.

 The role reports to Ex Forces Employment Manager. This position is permanent Full-time, 35 hours per week, with a salary of £28,325. The successful candidate will be Home based, with local and regional travel.  Ex Forces Employment Consultant will spend an average of 30% of their time networking within their region.

Principal Responsibilities:

 · Provide advice and guidance to support veterans into employment.

· Develop links with local and regional businesses and business forums to develop relationships with Corporate Mentors and to provide enhanced local level employment opportunities, working collaboratively with Employer Relationship Managers (ERMs).

· Facilitate veterans to access suitable training courses, funding and work placements.

· Post and maintain an exemplar professional LinkedIn profile and engage with appropriate content from FEC and partner organisations.

· Link with local and regional Ex-Armed Forces support agencies initiatives to create a flow of veterans requiring employment support.  This will include as a minimum creating working relationships with Armed Forces Charities and DWP and regional Armed Forces Champions (including Armed Forces Covenant groups).

· Contribute to FEC’s online community engaging veterans with the self-help tools and Corporate Mentors.

· Attend all CTP Employment Fairs in your region as an exhibitor.  Publicise the role of FEC in supporting veteran employment.

· Co-ordinate with partner charities and refer clients to support as identified by their needs assessment.

· Manage client caseload on our CRM system, in accordance with work instructions.

· Represent the values and professional expertise of FEC to all external audiences.

· The 30% networking time will involve attending partner meetings, employment events and collaboration with other charities/agencies that specialise in support to veterans.  The time spent doing this will be captured on our CRM and will be measurable.

About the role

This role is perfect for skilled fundraisers who can provide excellent supporter care, and is best suited as an additional source of income (the majority of our team are freelancers and consultants). You must be able to begin moderation at 9am (or earlier), wrap up by 9pm and adhere to our sub-three hour response time. 

As a Fundraising Group Moderator, you would be responsible for:

Background & Context to the Consultancy

Our new Global Strategy introduces some new approaches and priorities to our work, including: our first ever global Theory of Change (ToC), the most detailed Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) approach ever, and a sub-strategy dedicated to research, innovation and technology: the Global Research, Innovation and Technology Strategy (GRITS). With the finalisation of the new strategy, and as part of our ongoing commitment to improving our impact and efficiency, we are now seeking a consultant to provide specialised research support and technical advice.

Purpose & Objectives of the Consultancy

The primary objectives of this consultancy are to lead the transitional phase of the GRITS, creating a detailed operational plan for its implementation; support the management of the existing research portfolio ensuring technical soundness, budget adherence and timely delivery; establish a sustainable pathway for research expertise to be led by in-country professionals.

Scope of Work

The consultant will be responsible for the following key areas over a six-month period:

Strategy Transition Leadership

• Lead the transitional phase of the GRITS.
• Identify and address any gaps or challenges in the current strategy.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth transition.

Operational Plan Management

• Develop a comprehensive operational plan for the rollout of the strategy.
• Establish the initial GRITS processes including the Go no Go; steering group established and functioning.
• Define clear timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Ensure the plan is realistic, achievable, and aligns with the charity’s objectives and resources.

Support Existing Research Profile

• Review and support ongoing research projects.

Pathway to Sustainability

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a member of the first international climate NGO specialising in steel decarbonisation, you will work with other SteelWatch team members located across Asia-Pacific, Africa and Europe. The Executive Assistant will be a vital team member, providing critical, executive administrative support to enable the Executive Director and SteelWatch Leadership team to operate effectively. The duties associated with the role will evolve significantly as SteelWatch evolves. The Executive Assistant reports to the Executive Director. 

Key Responsibilities

The role is focused on supporting the Executive Director and SteelWatch Leadership team on a number of tasks, not limited to:

• Manage diaries, schedule appointments, set up meetings, adapting to priorities. 

• Organise and book travel arrangements according to diary needs and internal policies.

• Arrange and prepare for meetings with external partners, allies, donors and industry meetings, handling logistics (timing, location, travel, virtual arrangements) 

• Draft supporting materials (e.g., presentations) and assist with minute-taking, ensuring team input.

• Track and manage written communication with key external contacts, including funder updates.

• This role will also support several core governance and operational activities, not limited to:

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Location: The position is remote, and the location should be in a time zone within two hours of Central European Time. The UK location is a benefit. Work environment: The work is mainly remote, although some face-to-face meetings are essential, within Europe.  Working hours are flexible. Team members are currently located in Japan, the UK, Spain, Germany and the Netherlands, and the team will continue to grow internationally. There will be some early mornings or evenings to accommodate interactions across time zones, with the flexibility to adjust your weekly schedule accordingly. Travel will be required to collaborate with allies and meet the team in person.

Terms and salary: The role is expected to be long-term and managed via an Employer of Record. The initial contract will be for 12 months, if feasible, within local employment regulations. While we envision this as a full-time role, we are open to other options (minimum 60% unless a job share). The UK salary for this position is in the range of £28,000 to £34,000 per annum, pro rata, based on experience. Comparable salaries in other countries are based on market rates.

Since 2006, ROLDA has dedicated itself to aiding vulnerable stray animals in Romania, one of Europe s poorer nations. Our mission includes rescue, rehabilitation, sheltering, sterilisation, and education. Our EU-standard shelters, inspired by British designs, can house up to 700 stray dogs, providing them with complete veterinary care and preparation for rehoming.
We have supported over 48,000 animals and built two dog shelters and one for disabled and senior cats. Additionally, we offer small grants to six other charities in Romania and over 40 shelters in Ukraine. We primarily rehome animals in Switzerland, Sweden, and the UK. By addressing the root causes of animal homelessness through neutering programmes and educational initiatives, we have significantly reduced overpopulation, helping over 40,000 cats and dogs in Romania and Ukraine.

We are seeking a new Community Fundraiser for the South. This is an exciting and essential role that will help raise awareness of Canine Partners and boost income from a variety of community sources. We are looking for someone with a friendly and proactive approach. You will focus on nurturing existing relationships and creating new ones, ensuring a wonderful donor experience throughout. This varied role will involve volunteer recruitment and management, community fundraising events, challenge events, charity of the year partnerships and researching and launching new fundraising initiatives.

The Role

This crucial role provides the interface between the organisation, stakeholders and the entrepreneurs, providing a learning experience that meets entrepreneurs where they are at, helping to reveal what they don’t know and explore, and develop, what they do.

You will design, plan, and recruit social business leaders for high quality learning programmes, supporting them to start, develop and scale organisations that have social benefit whilst also contributing to their personal development as leaders of change.

This is a remote based role, requiring working from home approximately 50-70% of the time per year with travel in the North/Midlands regions of approximately 30% per year. 

About You

With knowledge of the social enterprise, charity, and business sector, you will be able to curate and tailor learning programmes to meet the needs of each cohort. You will have the ability to engage with programme contributors, and design and deliver high-level themed interactive sessions to meet those needs. You will have an awareness of different learning styles and be able to adapt learning sessions to meet those needs.

You’ll have a track record of supporting leaders and/or their ventures to thrive through interventions such as coaching and innovative workshops, experience in producing digital content to support similar aims and knowledgeable about different (social) enterprise business models.

You will succeed in the role if you believe in the potential of social entrepreneurship to create social change and are willing to work collaboratively as part of a fun yet focused team.

Bgen Coordinator

Bgen, the Botanic Gardens Education Network, is a specialist support network for professional plant and natural world educators across the UK. The Bgen Coordinator is vital for our charity, supporting training and conference events, handling membership renewals, facilitating communications with our 300 members and supporting the Chair and Board of Trustees. Main duties and responsibilities

1. Bgen Board and legal services:

a. Organise 4 Board meetings a year, prepare and circulate agendas and documents, take notes and share minutes.

b. Produce a quarterly activity report to the Bgen Board.

c. Organise the Annual General Meeting.

d. Maintain up to date records of Trustees, and ensure they have access to Governing Documents, including notification of legal obligations.

e. Submit annual returns to the Charity Commission on time and help ensure compliance.

2. Member services:

a. Act as the first point of contact for current and potential members.

b. Support the Board with planning and promotion of training events (online or in-person), booking speakers and managing bookings.

c. Advise on and help implement an effective communications programme.

d. Update the Bgen website and promote on social media as required.

e. Keep membership records up to date and manage renewals annually.

f. Organise and distribute online mail-outs and newsletters.

g. Organise the jobs and volunteer opportunities service for members.

3. Conference planning

a. Coordinate annual conference (online or in-person) with support from the Training and Conference workstream.

b. Book speakers and workshop facilitators.

c. Help promote the conference with members, partners and wider sector via newsletter and social media channels.

d. Manage bookings, participants list and send out conference pack.

e. Organise catering with venue and relevant workstream.

f. Coordinate conference logistics and event management.

4. Finance

a. Work closely with the Treasurer, Treasury group and bookkeeper in preparing financial reports.

Background: Encompass Trust's goal is to facilitate a collaborative space for young Israelis and Palestinians to work towards peace by challenging the status quo, confronting divides, and exploring nonviolent alternatives to addressing the conflict. The Role: As Digital Media Coordinator you'll be managing and boosting Encompass Trust’s presence on our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X), writing and disseminating newsletters and articles, contributing to donor reports, and keeping our website up to date. You'll create and curate engaging content, aiming to build a supportive and vibrant online community that reflects Encompass Trust’s values and supports its mission. You will work closely with our Regional staff in Israel and Palestine to source content related to Encompass Trust’s programmes, such as alumni updates, interviews, and testimonials. 

Responsibilities and key tasks:

• Develop and manage a content calendar for Encompass Trust’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and X.

• Create and schedule engaging posts that promote Encompass Trust’s activities and mission, ensuring a consistent and effective online presence.

• Coordinate and facilitate the writing of articles and blogs in collaboration with our regional staff and alumni.

• Attend Encompass Trust programmes to document the activities, including taking photos and carrying out interviews with participants.

Role requirements: 

Knowledge and Understanding:
