We are looking for a Marketing Coordinator to coordinate the marketing activity of the Students’ Union throughout the year, taking the lead on campaigns and projects such as Varsity, the Leadership Race, Sustainability Conference, International Festival and End of Year Awards, working with 10+ departments across the Union. The Marketing Coordinator will also support, train, and advise these departments and Sabbatical Officers on the development and delivery of effective marketing plans helping the Union to achieve its objectives

This is a full time and fixed term contract role until 31 July 2025. This role is also a hybrid working role, where 40% of the role will be on campus based.

Have you got a skilled approach to the planning and implementation of innovative marketing campaigns, promotions and offers to continuously refresh and develop the customer experience? Have you experience in providing recommendations based on data analysis and market research? If the answer is yes, then we want to hear from you. 

Our ideal candidate will work with departments, teams, and managers to develop innovative marketing campaigns aimed at increasing engagement and use of our services. The successful role holder will also respond to enquiries from customers where appropriate, ensuring the Union is represented in line with the brand guidelines.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Work alongside the Partnerships Manager to implement the fundraising strategy with a focus on building unrestricted income levels for City of Trees.
• Assist the Partnerships Manager in managing existing key funder relationships and take the lead on developing new funder relationships and revenue streams.
• Play a supporting role in trusts and foundations, working closely with the Business Development team.
• Oversee and maintain accurate supporter records through the use of our CRM system, DonorFy
• Work closely with the communications team on digital fundraising and events.

To be successful in this role you will need a broad experience across multiple fundraising disciplines i.e. legacy, individual giving, community and corporate fundraising. You will also need experience in planning, organising and delivering fundraising campaigns and activities, plus Experience of using a CRM system such as DonorFy, salesforce, Raisers Edge or ThankQ.

First Step is a Charity based in the London Borough of Havering, that for over 36 years has supported more than 1,700 families and their children.

Families are referred or self-refer to us at a moment of crisis or uncertainty, normally pre-diagnosis, fearing all is not well with their child.  We provide an array of family-centric services tailored to each family’s and child’s needs.

We are looking for a Centre Manager to take over from our current postholder who has been with the charity for over 27 years as both volunteer and staff member and will play an active part of inducting and handing over and to the successful candidate.

The person we are looking for is a unique blend of heart and mind, who is committed to ensure that every person that comes into contact with First Step feels welcomed and is treated with dignity and respect.  They also need to ensure that First Step operates in a professional, organised, and effective manner.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for Advocates to join our team covering Fife and the surrounding area. We are recruiting a Policy and Campaigns Manager to take forward our work on household debt. This role plays a key part in our campaign to end the UK’s household debt crisis.

Over ten million people in the UK are now ‘overindebted’, meaning they are behind on bills or are finding their debt repayments a heavy financial burden. The crisis has been growing over the last decade but has increased dramatically because of the pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis. More and more people are now borrowing to cover bills and essentials.

Our campaign combines community organising with national level campaigning and advocacy work to bring the voices of those most affected by the debt crisis to the fore in debates on policy solutions. You will use your policy and campaigning expertise to help ensure the people most impacted by problem household debt have a say in influencing the policies that affect them. You will work on issues such as the growth in council tax debt and bailiff use, the huge build up in energy debt as a result of the cost of living crisis and making insolvency policy and practice fairer and more accessible so more people can get out of debt.

You will be a key member of our household debt project team, working alongside the Head of Campaigns, Head of Policy and Advocacy, Digital Campaigner and Lead  Organiser.

We are looking for someone with great policy analysis and advocacy skills, a strong campaigning mindset, and a passion for social justice. We are not expecting you to already be an expert in all aspects of the role or in household debt policy but are looking for someone with the potential to develop quickly. Crucially, you will also need to appreciate why taking a community organising approach and building the power of people affected by debt is important, though you do not need to have experience in community organising.

This role will require some evening and weekend working, though this will be infrequent.

At it’s height, Cannington Shaw was the largest glass bottle maker in the world. All that now remains is the # 7 Bottle Shop – a fine example of what was once one of the first regenerative tank furnaces in the world. Derelict since closure of the works in the 1980s, it is now badly overgrown, with considerable structural deterioration. The site is a Scheduled Ancient Monument, Grade II Listed, and on the Heritage at Risk Register since 2002.

In the ownership of the Cannington Shaw Preservation Trust, the site is about to undergo a transformation as the first phase in restoring the building begins thanks to a £1.3m grant from the St Helens Town Deal.

A partner in the process, Groundwork Cheshire Lancs & Merseyside are leading on a project to develop and deliver a Heritage Skills Academy that aims to link the opportunities presented by the conservation and restoration of the building with local people wishing to develop their skills – with a particular focus on heritage construction skills.

This role is designed to provide practical hands on experience of working on a live heritage project, allowing the successful applicant to develop their experience of partnership working, – as well as a wide range of heritage skills, crafts and techniques.

We are pleased to advertise for a Head of Death Penalty Projects- US to oversee our work against the death penalty in the United States of America. 

Reprieve has worked against the death penalty since our founding. In recent years we have built a particular specialism in issues relating to lethal injection, the most popular execution method in the US. Lethal injection has been touted as more humane than other methods – a modern, clean, clinical way to execute. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Lethal injection executions go wrong more often than any other execution method, often resulting in prolonged and torturous executions, commonly known as “botched” executions. Through our work we aim to dispel the myth of the humane execution, working with allies across medicine, business and other sectors to end the misuse of medicines and medical technology in executions.

The existing portfolio of work includes litigation, investigation and analysis, corporate engagement, a wide range of public and private advocacy, and developing and maintaining world-leading expertise on execution methods, particularly the jurisprudence and science relevant to lethal injection.

Contract, location and salary

The role is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of £59,226 per annum less any required deductions for tax and national insurance.Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work a minimum of 40% from the London office and the rest of the week from home.
