About the role
This is a technical hands-on role, the successful candidate will be part of a small team whose primary function will be to enable, accelerate and support the developers and testers working on a US/UK multi-tenancy Adobe AEM platform, including supporting on AWS and GCP.
The role will be based remotely with a requirement to be in our Farringdon office for a minimum of 2 times a month.
In this role, you will:
- Provide System Admin support to Save the Children UK with a particular focus on system performance and tuning and supporting User Acceptance testing of its AEM platform.
- Managing, maintaining and patching our cloud infrastructure and availability of services through container-orchestration.
- Ensure that sufficient documentation is in place for all hardware systems in the Integration and Staging environments to enable existing and new team members to support Save the Children UK infrastructure.
- Ensure the effective and efficient use of all Save the Children resources in order to keep costs low and ensure safety in the workplace. Pro-actively pursue opportunities continuously to reduce costs and increase efficiency of the server support function.
- Ensure a globally robust and highly scalable approach to development to support our growing number of global users and services.
- Work with the 3rd Line infrastructure teams to ensure that all systems and support are aligned with technical and business requirements.
- Manage the provisioning/building/configuring/maintenance of environments using automation where possible.
- Keep abreast of new developments in the provisioning / configuration / deployment / monitoring of environments to help shape our DevOps roadmap.

The new Executive Director will be responsible for leading the organisation in developing a new strategy to guide us through the next phase growth, while leading the team through an new political climate.

About the job
This role will be responsible for the operational management of all LSESU buildings and our state-of-the-art Sports and fitness facilities in the Marshall Building and Saw Swee Hock, administering facility bookings and responsible for all health and safety and compliance of these spaces. They will ensure student community focused results are delivered through exceptional customer service to LSE’s diverse membership and other users.
This role will deliver income from external hire of facilities, to drive surplus, develop offers, improve quality, customer service and inclusivity, seeking diversification of activity and income opportunities. And they will manage a team consisting of permanent and student staff, external contractors, and volunteers.

Assist the ED in developing an effective fundraising strategy aligned with CCI's strategic plan.

4. Grant Management and Reporting
- Ensure compliance with grant agreements, including tracking deliverables, reporting deadlines, and financial requirements.

Work closely with ED and CCI members to provide accurate and timely progress reports to donors.

With the ED, maintain records of grants, funding applications, and donor interactions.
5. Marketing
- With the ED, evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and communication techniques and assist in make necessary adjustments.

Reach a greater number of supporters and donors through innovative marketing strategies; including, with the ED, the creation of new and innovative fundraising campaigns, or the linking of current events and campaigns to fundraising outcomes.

Collaborate with the ED and the Communications Manager on the development of communications and marketing materials.
6. General Fundraising Responsibilities
- Stay up to date with current trends, strategies, and best practices in international fundraising and grant writing.

Participate in professional development opportunities, training sessions, and workshops to enhance fundraising skills and knowledge, as well as knowledge and understanding of the childhood cancer sector.

Any other fundraising activity as requested by the ED.
Qualifications:

A tertiary qualification, degree (or higher qualification) in a relevant field (for example in international development, marketing or communications).

A minimum of proven four years’ experience in international fundraising, grant writing, and securing funding from diverse sources.

Familiarity with international grant databases, donor directories, and funding portals. You should have an existing network of funders and donors.

Research and analytical skills.

Strong writing skills with the ability to craft persuasive and compelling grant proposals.

Experience in developing budgets for grant applications.

Ability to work independently, under pressure and to meet deadlines.
