About the role
Action for Carers Surrey has a visible and well-integrated HR function, which has a wide remit, including training, recruitment, volunteering, health & safety and building management. We also coordinate and oversee the zero hours youth team.
This varied part-time role is to support this function as well as to provide administrative assistance to the CEO. We are looking for a post holder who has a high level of accuracy and enjoys working across a wide remit.
This role is based in our offices in Burpham, Guildford with occasional travel to other locations within Surrey. There is ample free parking at our offices. Home working to be agreed with line manager.
Key responsibilities include

- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date employee and volunteer records and input information into our HR Information System (Iris Staffology).
- Prepare and issue employment contracts, offer letters, pay increase letters, and other HR documentation and correspondence.
- Undertake ‘safer recruitment’ activities including reference checking and completing DBS checks.
- Support the recruitment and onboarding process by posting job advertisements, coordinating applications, interviews and inductions.
- Coordinate mandatory and developmental training activities
- Be familiar with Action for Carers policies and procedures and be confident to provide initial responses to HR and training related queries.
- Note take during one-to-one and team/trustee meetings.
- Assist with accident recording, first aid kit management, building management matters and the ordering of equipment and materials.
- Take a hands-on role in supporting the planning and execution of management away days and meetings, staff engagement activities and similar events.
- Provide administrative and diary management support to the CEO and COO including co-ordinating and setting up meetings, travel arrangements, taking minutes as required and ensuring they have relevant papers etc in advance.
About you
You will have:
- Previous experience in an administrative role, within HR, recruitment, training or a related field.
- Previous experience working with a HR Information system / database
- A familiarity with UK employment laws and regulations or a strong desire to learn
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the confidence to respond to written and spoken questions.
- Be able to manage your own time and prioritise a varied workload
- Discretion and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

About the Role
This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our Bedford Mental Health Prevention service for adults which aims to improve people’s mental wellbeing, raise aspirations and enhance confidence.
As Service Coordinator you will be responsible for implementing working recovery models and coordinating the operational plans for the service to ensure that people are able to manage their mental health, move through their recovery journeys and achieve positive outcomes.
Along with coordinating service delivery to meet its aims, objectives and Key Performance Indicators, you will also line manage the service Recovery Workers and lead on recruitment, onboarding and management of volunteers in the service.
Additionally you will conduct assessments of individual’s suitability for the service, leading on more complex cases and guiding people through the range of available interventions that can support them to achieve the outcomes that matter to them.
In addition to managing the day-to-day delivery of the service you will also contribute to the direct provision of the service by leading and facilitating group sessions where needed and by offering informal 1-2-1 mental health and wellbeing support that reduces the chance that people will fall through gaps, be isolated and ensuring the right support and the right time that manages a range of needs.
You will lead opportunities to support events in the community to raise awareness of our services and to build links with local organisations and agencies.
You will need to be empathetic and deliver a person-centred approach in a non-judgemental way, collaborating with people to empower and engage them. SUN facilitators will have regular supervision and support in this role along with appropriate training.

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated person with a passion for volunteering and training who can aide in helping to build and sustain a solid and quality framework for the volunteering and workforce training provision at Mind BLMK.
The successful candidate will aide in the creation and administration of cohesive processes and systems for workforce training and in ensuring that Mind BLMK increases its engagement of volunteers, which will include establishing community links and supporting the organisation’s vision and values.
Key Duties
- Contribute to the ongoing evaluation and mapping of Mind BLMK’s current workforce training offer, helping to identify gaps in provision (e.g. through staff appraisals, supervisions etc.), evaluate alternative solutions and making recommendations for effective and impactful training pathways
- as needed for all staff and volunteers.
- Continue the ongoing audit of existing staff and volunteer training records and maintain the framework for storing and reviewing staff and volunteer training records.
- Monitor and develop, if necessary, the monitoring system that shows staff and volunteers are completing the training required for their role and taking action when gaps are identified.
- Manage the staff training inbox and coordinate the administrative aspects of the training cycle, such as scheduling, booking, invoicing, and reporting.
- Promote and support the value of volunteering within Mind BLMK and with external organisations.
- Continue to review and monitor all existing volunteer roles on an ongoing basis to ensure an effective volunteer contribution in line with contractual obligations where appropriate is maintained across all departments.
- Aid managers with procedures for designing volunteer roles, managing enquiries, applications, interviews, references, DBS checks and provide a supportive oversight of each candidate’s volunteering cycle.
- Support the induction of volunteers ensuring they are positively onboarded into Mind BLMK and understand the culture, values, and code of conduct.
- Ensure processes are in place for all volunteers to receive training and regular one to one support by the appropriate person.
- Facilitate and manage meetings with volunteers and project staff as appropriate.
- Be responsible for ensuring the volunteer database and administrative tasks, including monitoring, and recording in relation to these duties is kept up to date.

Background: Encompass Trust's goal is to facilitate a collaborative space for young Israelis and Palestinians to work towards peace by challenging the status quo, confronting divides, and exploring nonviolent alternatives to addressing the conflict. We rely on the hard work of our dedicated country representatives to manage and deliver our programmes, including our bi-annual flagship programme, the Journey of Understanding, which brings young Israelis and Palestinians together in Cyprus for an intensive week of dialogue workshops and activities. The Role: As Digital Media Coordinator you'll be managing and boosting Encompass Trust’s presence on our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X), writing and disseminating newsletters and articles, contributing to donor reports, and keeping our website up to date. You'll create and curate engaging content, aiming to build a supportive and vibrant online community that reflects Encompass Trust’s values and supports its mission. EMMS International is Scotland's longest-serving international healthcare charity having been set up in Edinburgh in 1841. Its mission is to help improve health and healthcare, to heal the sick in some of the poorest communities in the world. EMMS is currently rolling out a new fundraising strategy which is focussed on diversifying its income channels. EMMS already enjoys some success in this area but is looking for a very driven and experienced person to attract new donors and supporters. This is a solo role within the fundraising team, so you will need to have the drive, determination and tenacity to deliver excellent results as well as the knowledge, skills and experience. You will have the support of the very experienced Director of Fundraising and Communications.
We are interested in hearing from candidates who have a major gift fundraising or client-facing sales/account management background. About the role:
The role of the Services Manager is pivotal to leading the delivery of our services; developing and improving our existing services; and creating new services to widen our impact on veterans and their families, ensuring our clients are supported into meaningful and sustainable employment, with an approach that is tailored to their individual needs.

Main Duties of the Post
Casework Sessions
· To give holistic support to LGBTQ+ people accessing our advice and advocacy service and to provide proactive support to these service users who are sometimes hard to engage.
· To assess each individual’s current housing situation and form a view with regards to risk associated with their case.
· To explore all options available to the service user allowing them to make informed decisions.
· To work with LGBTQ+ people accessing the advice and advocacy to develop and review individual work plans and risk assessments.
· To have regular case work sessions to provide structured support, in relation to Housing specific issues.
· To liaise with other service providers ensuring service users receive the necessary support to sustain their accommodation, acquire relevant independent living skills, maintain or improve positive physical and mental health and access into meaningful occupation of their time.
Liaison with Landlords / Other Agencies
· To support service users to report repairs and work with landlords and advocate where necessary.
· To support service users to contact local authority, voluntary and private sector landlords to report anti-social behaviour issues and advocate where necessary.
· To support service users to present to local authorities as homeless, where appropriate, and advocate where necessary.

As the Philanthropy Manager, you will join a collaborative fundraising team and focus on building upon existing and new relationships with major donors to secure income and support. Joining a team of six this role will have great support and will work towards a seven-figure team target.
