Sightsavers is looking for a Senior Learning Advisor to lead on the implementation and continuous development of the Disability Inclusive Development programme's learning strategy.

The Disability Inclusive Development (DIDIF) programme started in July 2018 and is a six year, £29.5m FCDO funded commercial contract managed by Sightsavers DIDIF Fund Management Team (FMT). The DIDIF programme is managed using a payment-by-results and New Engineering Contract (NEC3) contracting model. It is also adaptively managed. The DIDIF consortium consists of ten partners who work on innovation and scale projects across the programme's four thematic areas: health, education, livelihoods and negative stereotyping and discrimination. We work in six countries: Bangladesh, Kenya, Nepal, Nigeria, Tanzania and Uganda. The FMT is responsible for the programme's management: finance & risk; monitoring, evaluation and learning; adaptive management; reporting and quality assurance; governance; contract management; consortium management and donor relations.

The Senior Learning Advisor leads on the implementation and continuous development of the DIDIF programme's Learning Strategy (also called "the Learning Architecture"), a component of the DIDIF programme's MEL Strategy.

The Senior Learning Advisor leads on establishing the learning priorities for Learning Architecture's four operational areas (project, programme, consortium and organisation) and ensure those learning priorities meet the programme's strategic objectives. At this stage of the programme, the focus is upon delivery. Key duties include:

• Providing technical direction to all Learning Architecture projects and oversee implementation and delivery.
• They are responsible for the timely, quality delivery of learning products developed by the FMT.

• Leading teams to deliver programmatic, consortium and organisational learning products as well as delivering products individually.

• Managing quality control processes and tools to support consortium partners to deliver robust learning products

• Matrix-managing a project team of FMT members and/or consultants responsible for delivering programme, organisational and consortium learning products on time and on budget.

Street Child is looking for a dynamic, confident individual with a passion for communications and a drive to make a difference.

We need a Global Communications Officer who is adaptable, personable, has an attention to detail and is ready to tackle any task with gusto. We are looking for someone who can drive forward our owned channel development, grow our website traffic and social media channels whilst maintaining strong platform engagement rates to generate fundraising.

Our ideal candidate will also create fresh campaigns with market cut through, develop clear, creative collateral, support our growing global advocacy efforts and identify opportunities for telling stories from Street Child’s programmes around the world. An eye for design and some basic editing skills is a bonus. 

Part 2: Key Responsibilities:

1. Social channel content creation, maintenance and development

• Lead on the development and maintenance of the Street Child social channels, pushing forward our social strategy with a relentless focus on growth and engagement. Develop, create, and manage engaging content for our social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, TikTok), including identifying strategies for viral and timely content.
• Craft compelling copy and visuals that align with our brand voice and promote Street Child programmes around the world.
• Identify and leverage emerging trends and opportunities for Street Child’s social media presence.

2. Day-to-day website content updates & maintenance

• Lead on the day-to-day content updates and maintenance of the Street Child website, working to a turnaround time of 48 hours for business-as-usual activity.
• Work with external web developers to ensure Street Child’s website is optimised for raising awareness of our work, engaging supporters and raising funds.
• Develop high-quality written and visual content optimised for web, including managing our blog to ensure a steady output of content on Street Child programme areas, including primary education work, education in emergencies, and humanitarian programmes.

3. Communications resource for global fundraising teams

• Support the strategic development and communications needs of European and North American entities, ensuring a strong cohesive global voice for Street Child.
• Support global fundraising teams on all communication resource needs, including but not limited to event publicity/promotion, key appeal content and community resource generation.
• Support the creation of content/collateral for fundraising teams.
• Support the development of corporate communications, including but not limited to the design of impact reports, event promotion and publicity.
• Work with colleagues in other fundraising teams to establish communication calendars and plan for their respective areas of work, identifying communication needs and deadlines ahead of time.

4. Global advocacy communications support

• Support the delivery of global advocacy events, such as UNGA and World Economic Forum.

5. Wider MMC support

We’re hiring a Communications Assistant to play a critical role in LICC’s skilled and enthusiastic Communications Team, helping it deliver its day-to-day responsibilities and contributing to the growth and impact of LICC’s mission.

The successful candidate will get stuck in with a wide range of tasks including web and email design and build, social media content generation and management, podcast management, press office activity, and more.

The Communications Team exists to ensure LICC’s vision and offering are clearly communicated both to those who already follow us and to new strategic audiences. This is a part-time (two days per week), fixed-term, maternity cover role, running from September 2024 to August 2025. It can be fulfilled remotely, though the post-holder may choose to work in LICC’s central London office if they wish. Prospectus are delighted to be supporting Kinship in the search for an exceptional programme manager to play a key role in the delivery of a ground-breaking national Kinship Care Training and Support service, funded by the Department for Education.  The national service will include an extensive range of workshops and other training events, tailored for kinship carers and delivered online and in-person; and new resources hosted on an enhanced online advice, information and support hub.

Reporting to the Chief Executive and working closely with members of the Executive Team, delivery partners and stakeholders, you’ll lead the planning, reporting and work across the organisation to ensure successful delivery of a high-quality service that meets the needs of kinship carers and is delivered on budget and on schedule.

You will have extensive experience in successfully delivering complex programmes including multiple elements and stakeholders, knowledge and experience of methodologies for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes, strong leadership and communication skills, the ability to collaborate across different departments and with a range of partners an Demonstrable experience of successfully managing delivery of a complex programme, including set up, service design, stakeholder engagement, service delivery, programme governance and evaluation.

We are interested in speaking to experienced programme managers who have previously led and managed programmes with multiple elements, across different departments and with a range of national and local partners.  You will have knowledge and experience of methodologies for planning and monitoring performance throughout the project lifecycle to ensure objectives are met, ideally with experience of using Asana.  You will also demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, with track record of building strong relationships at senior level internally and externally to achieve service objectives and systems change.
