• We support law centres and other legal advice agencies in London and the South East by providing them with grant funding alongside other forms of support.

About the role

We are recruiting a Programmes Manager to work across projects in our Sector Support programme. As an Employment Coach with our Employcare Project you will be supporting unpaid carers living in Manchester; providing support and coaching in order for them to re-enter paid employment or voluntary roles.  The successful candidates will manage a small caseload of carers and provide them with 1:1 support, helping them overcome barriers to employment and training.  You will be responsible for supporting them through every stage of their journey, enabling participants to address their barriers and realise their aspirations.

Financial Controller

The Role

They are looking for a technically minded management accountant with an interest, or experience, in the renewable energy sector. This new post will take on a range of responsibilities within a successful and growing community business, including financial reporting, financial planning, debt financing and budget management. This is a critical role with the opportunity for progression within the organisation for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversight and checking of outsourced production of quarterly management accounts and monthly cashflow
• Supporting the MD on reporting to full board/Finance Sub-Committee meetings and to external grant funders/finance providers

Main Purpose of Job

  • Working with Budget Holders to understand and manage expenditure on a monthly basis and assist them with strategy and pricing decisions to feed into the budgeting and reforecasting process.
  • Evaluate and review new projects and new funding applications of funding in a timely manner, providing financial analysis as required.
  • Provide Financial Analysis to support regular monitoring reporting required by funders.
  • Drive KPI’s to evaluate projects and provide post-project analysis to evaluate and monitor the project’s progress against the KPI’s
• Work with Management and Trustees to develop a recently formed trading subsidiary which will become responsible for some existing and new revenue streams. This will require working with legal and tax advisors as necessary.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Sustrans as part of the People and Organisational Development (POD) team based in the charity’s head office. Our city centre hub has been recently refurbished and you will be working in a friendly, supportive, environment in a role where you can enjoy professional contact with colleagues at all levels. The Hub is in a fantastic location, based in a vibrant area of central Bristol. 

This is a varied role providing support in the day to day running of the Bristol Hub and performing an Executive Assistant function, delivering high quality and confidential support to the Executive Director (ED), with duties such as diary and email management, administration of the ED travel and expenses and other duties. 

You will be supporting the Bristol Hub Manager, taking the lead on administrative functions at the Bristol Hub, including the delivery of a friendly and efficient reception service, answering all queries from colleagues and visitors to the Hub, assisting in the support of all facilities management and liaising with contractors and suppliers. 

You will proactively seek opportunities for improvement to the smooth running of a dynamic, modern, flexible office environment that works for everybody, considering both efficiency and accessibility that fall in line with our strong EDI values. 

Building internal relationships with colleagues across the organisation and the Senior Leadership Team, you will support with the organisation of team days and events.

About you 

You should have experience providing high quality, proactive PA support to senior leaders, including high-level decision-making groups, through effective administration. This will include dealing with confidential and sensitive information. 

We also ask that you are experienced in office management systems and procedures including facility management and can demonstrate your knowledge of basic office health and safety. 

You should be highly organised and have excellent administration skills, including the ability to make summary notes during meetings and a high level of competency using equipment and various software, showcasing your excellent attention to detail. You will have the ability to effectively summarise and communicate information.

Our IPS (Individual Placement and Support Employment Specialists) team aims to increase the number of people moving into meaningful employment from our drug and alcohol support service. This is a new project and is an exciting opportunity to help make a real difference to people's lives. REQUIRED SKILLS

• 12 months’ experience of helping people facing severe labour market disadvantage to obtain or keep work
• Sound knowledge of best practice in the provision of addictions and/or employability and employment services
• Knowledge and understanding of issues faced by people in treatment/recovery in the job market, and in employability and employment services
• Able to assess clients' vocational functioning on an ongoing basis utilising background information and work experiences
• Ability to develop relationships with multiple stakeholders, including employers, partner agencies, clients and their family/carers
• Working knowledge of a broad range of occupations and jobs
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Advocacy 1st is a free, independent service provided by advocates who specialise in the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and the Mental Health Act.

Location: Remote based in Oxfordshire

Key duties:

· Recruiting, training and providing ongoing support to volunteers

· Working with the children and young people to assess their service requirements

About the role

The role seeks to maximise Christian Aid's income by building relationships with trusts within the small trust mailing programme. The post holder will be directly responsible for securing approximately £400,000 in unrestricted, emergency and co-founding income though a small trusts and supporting with activity across the mid-value team (in which the role sits) including wider mid-value campaigns and stewardship activity.
