The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) is looking for an Examiner Engagement and Support Coordinator to ensure our examiners feel empowered, valued, and supported in their critical contributions to our exams.
The RCR is a professional membership body for Doctors who work in cancer care and medical imaging. Our examiners are clinical oncologists, clinical radiologists and other specialists, who work voluntarily as contributors developing exam questions, delivering assessments to candidates and shaping the future of FRCR exams. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that the clinical expertise needed to run the RCR’s exams is available via both UK and global examiners.
The postholder will have strong people skills with the ability to build good relationships, excellent communication and organisational skills will be key to your success. The post holder will be the first point of contact for potential new, and existing, examiners and will work closely with exam chairs and across all exam boards and committees, ensuring that examiners have the tools they need to deliver as an examiner alongside their clinical commitments, including alleviating any pain points. Examiner recruitment and coordinating induction and training - plus the set-up of meetings, events and panels - will form part of the workload.
As our Examiner Engagement and Support Coordinator you will deliver real value to those doctors who give up their valuable time to work with us.
What you’ll do:
- Write and update engaging examiner recruitment materials such as terms of reference, job descriptions, scoring criteria and advertising communication.
- Actively promote examiner recruitment to UK and global audiences, including drafting text and ensuring that promotional recruitment materials are relevant and engaging.
- Build and develop mechanisms to communicate with examiners, ensuring they feel included in the work of both the exams team and the wider college.
- Support examiners with travel and accommodation bookings where necessary, in collaboration with the RCR’s appointed travel agent and the RCR’s Facilities function.
- Support committees by managing the logistical support for meetings and preparing quality agendas.
What you’ll need:
- Experience in providing administrative support and managing administrative processes, systems and procedures.
- Experience in financial administration, including the compiling of financial spreadsheets and monitoring budgets.
- Experience of committee procedures and processes, including preparing agendas and recording accurate actions.
- Experience using and maintaining a database or equivalent to store and retrieve information so that information is kept up to date and available
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders

The Community Energy Network is funded by the National Lottery’s Climate Action Fund and will be run through a partnership between Bath and North East Somerset Council, Bath and West Community Energy (BWCE), the University of Bath and the multi-agency BANES Community Wellbeing Hub.
Project Background
To tackle the climate crisis and fuel poverty, we are going to need a LOT more people involved, taking action in whatever ways they can. Fortunately, there are hundreds of people in our area who are already stepping up to do this.
Our vision for the energy transition has two elements. Firstly, we must reduce energy demand, particularly from homes, where high energy bills are causing serious social problems. Secondly, we must ensure that the remaining energy demand is met by clean local renewable energy, owned by and with benefits retained by the local community.
The Energy Outreach Coordinators will support people taking action on both these elements.
Job Purpose
We are looking for a motivated community organiser and project manager with renewable energy knowledge to work with communities to help decide if, how and where to develop renewable energy projects in their area, as part of the BANES Community Energy Network. They will help develop a new engagement process that takes a grassroots approach to identifying sites and maximises community involvement in, and benefit from, new schemes.
The successful applicant will connect new and existing renewable energy champions to the BANES Community Energy Network and develop a programme of networking, celebration and learning to support them. The role sits within BWCE’s Communications and Engagement team and the post holder will be supported by energy experts from BWCE and the Centre for Sustainable Energy.
Principal tasks
- Community Engagement and facilitation: Work with community members, stakeholders, organisations and the local Champions leading the process to maximise local participation, for example through workshops.
- Partnership working: Coordinate closely with Bath & North East Somerset and Wiltshire Councils, the Centre for Sustainable Energy and local partners to co-develop and implement the programme.
- Organise events and activities such as workshops, drop-in sessions, roadshows and webinars to increase participation in the process and awareness of community energy.
- Project Management: Take a project management approach to organising, scheduling, monitoring and prioritising tasks and managing risks.
- Process development: Work with partners to co-evolve the Future Energy Landscape model, including a business case planning tool that can be shared with other networks and communities.
- Communications: Provide content for communications materials that resonate in the communities with input from local champions and support from the BANES council project communications offer.
- Evaluation: Undertake data collection and reporting of Network activities, supporting evaluation through follow-up surveys, case studies, focus groups, working with Bath University.

Coordinate and support the Scottish Peer Educator project aimed at increasing awareness and understanding of deceased and living organ and tissue donation amongst South Asian communities across Glasgow, Edinburgh and surrounding areas. The peer educator co-ordinator will manage a group of volunteers to attend events and deliver messaging on kidney health, disease and organ and tissue donation in partnership with the policy lead (Scotland).
The Scottish Organ and Tissue Donation Peer Educator project is a long-standing partnership with the Scottish Government. The project aims to increase awareness of deceased organ and tissue donation, and living kidney donation, among people within the South Asian communities in and around Glasgow and Edinburgh, covering the Hindu, Muslim and Sikh faiths. The project involves working with peer educators (volunteers) from South Asian communities who attend events and talk to the communities about organ and tissue donation.
The successful candidate will have an awareness of organ donation and experience in effective community outreach and engagement. You will be an excellent empathetic communicator, both written and verbal as well as being receptive and approachable with a “person-centred” approach.

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Practitioner who:
-Has experience of management and supervision of staff and volunteers,
-Has a genuine passion and working knowledge of young people and mental health,
-Is energetic, adaptable, able to offer innovation and ideas to support this evolving service,
-Has a background or worked in Health Care, Education, Youth Work or Social Work,
-Can provide direct low level therapeutic support that is person centred,

Liverpool Transition, Preparation and Moving-On Service – Children's Residential Home
Barnardo's Transition, Preparation and Moving-On Service is looking for a residential worker for its 4 bed Children's home.
This is a service commissioned by Liverpool City Council to deliver Children's residential support in line with statutory requirements utilising therapeutic approaches. The service consists of one 4 bed Children's home.
The service aims to provide a nurturing environment within our high-quality home, which will meet the needs of children and young people who have experienced trauma, neglect, rejection, and whose basic needs have not been met.
The home offers our young people a safe space to enjoy themselves with activities such as karaoke, pamper, movie and games nights. Our young people are also encouraged to enjoy activities such as horse riding, going the cinema, indoor adventure parks, museums, theatre shows, youth clubs, fairs/theme parks i.e. Alton Towers, Blackpool and Southport.
We always ensure that our young people have the opportunity to enjoy at least one holiday/short break.
We support our young people to learn skills such as cooking meals and baking.

As a Transition home, our role is to support the young people in our care to either return back to their own families, move onto foster care, or move into semi-independence. The support we provide is vital in supporting our young people in their next chapter. You would play a huge part in this exciting role in changing the lives of our young people.
The home provides a truly therapeutically focussed environment that can meet the needs of young people who require support to manage their behaviours safely, develop their resilience and prepare them for the demands of future life with their own families or in other settings.
As a Residential Worker you will support the young people on a rota basis, covering the following:
- 3 on 4 off pattern across the year, with rotas completed at least one month in advance.
- Sleep ins - approximately 2 per month with an additional payment of approximately £68/sleep,
- Waking nights (approximately 2 per month)
- Opportunities to complete additional hours at an enhanced rate of pay.
- Some weekend working, on a rota basis
- Some bank holiday working – enhanced rates of pay for bank holiday working.
Designated days off are given following sleep ins and waking nights to promote wellbeing and recovery.
Your role as a Residential Worker:
You will engage with and support young people in all aspects of their lives, attending to their practical, physical, and emotional needs, whilst safeguarding each young person at all times.
You will support the rest of the team around the young people, acting in the capacity of a corporate parent. You will support young people to enhance their social opportunities by accessing hobbies & activities in the home and in the community. This could include supporting young people to access meals out/cinema/theatre/activity clubs etc and engage with fun nights in e.g. Movie/pamper/ games nights etc.
If you have experience of supporting young people who have experienced trauma, are passionate about the children in your care and can show understanding, tenacity, consistency of care and the ability to engage with a wide range of young people – this may be the opportunity for you!

We are now recruiting for a new Events & Community Executive to join the frontline of our fundraising stewardship, so strong relationship-building skills and a love of creating great supporter experiences are essential. A big part of this role is project managing PCR’s fundraising activities, including virtual and third-party challenges. This requires a proactive approach, an eagerness to learn and a readiness to get stuck in with a positive attitude, as well as some experience of leading a project yourself in the past. You will work closely with the Virtual & Challenge Events Manager, existing Events & Community Officer/ Executives, and the whole team – sharing best practice, learnings and supporting each other to reach and exceed our shared goals.
This role will focus on virtual & challenge events activities but will get exposure to the full range of our events & community fundraising portfolio for your development and interest – and you will receive the training and support needed to succeed!
Key Responsibilities
Event management and delivery

Lead the delivery of the fundraising activities you are working on, keeping an eye on objectives, budgets and the bigger picture to ensure that opportunities to improve and maximise fundraising are seized.

Create and follow action plans for your projects, taking responsibility for processes and delivery of tasks on time.

Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and third-party organisations.

Ensure all fundraising activities promote PCR’s brand and have a strong connection to people with prostate cancer.

With the support of the team, analyse results based on KPIs & feedback, and proactively suggest changes & improvements.
Stewardship

Lead on delivering PCR’s supporter journeys for your projects, providing a high level of stewardship with an understanding of the connection between engagement and the income & awareness raised for PCR.

Lead on relationship management as required for the fundraising activities you are working on.

Carry out regular stewardship tasks including content delivery, the management of stewardship tools (e.g. Mailchimp, GivePanel & Kudosity) and responding to supporter queries via all channels. Plenty of training on tools will be provided!

Collaborate with the team on the upkeep of supporter journeys, using feedback & data to spot opportunities for constant improvement of fundraisers’ experience with PCR and motivating them to raise more and remain loyal supporters.
Marketing and Recruitment

Work with the Events team managers and external marketing consultants to create effective marketing plans and lead on their implementation, making best efforts to hit acquisition targets for the fundraising activities you are working on.

Create & deliver marketing plans and assets which are tailored by a good understanding of our existing & target audiences.

With the support of team managers, track and analyse marketing performance to proactively suggest improvements.
Administration and Database

Manage stock fulfilment, sending merchandise to supporters and replenishing materials as required, ensuring high quality, good value and an appropriate & creative application of PCR’s brand.

Carry out participant data processing, income processing and budget management tasks as required, including coding, database administration, paying invoices and tracking income & expenditure in logs.

Ensure your fundraising activities are delivered in line with fundraising law & regulations and PCR’s policies.

Take an active role in training & webinars to improve your knowledge of the database and compliance requirements.
Strategy and Development

The Energy Neighbours project has a clear community capacity-building approach, aiming to work inclusively with communities and community organisations, listening to local priorities, experimenting and learning together, being transparent and accountable and sharing decision-making.
The project will help more community buildings and homes to be more energy efficient, by providing expertise, training, volunteering and sharing learning. Energy Neighbours supports and funds organisation development, community activities, volunteering, community business and partnership development, helping communities have a stronger voice and more capacity to impact on their priorities and concerns.

The Community Energy Network is funded by the National Lottery’s Climate Action Fund and will be run through a partnership between Bath and North East Somerset Council, Bath and West Community Energy, the University of Bath and the multi-agency BANES Community Wellbeing Hub.
Project Background
To tackle the climate crisis and fuel poverty, we are going to need a LOT more people involved, taking action in whatever ways they can. Fortunately, there are hundreds of people in our area who are already stepping up to do this.
Our vision for the energy transition has two elements. Firstly, we must reduce energy demand, particularly from homes, where high energy bills are causing serious social problems. Secondly, we must ensure that the remaining energy demand is met by clean local renewable energy, owned by and with benefits retained by the local community.
The Energy Outreach Coordinators will support people taking action on both these elements.
Job Purpose
We are looking for a motivated community organiser and project manager to recruit, inspire and support a diverse range of Home Energy Champions within a new BANES Community Energy Network.
The Home Energy Outreach Coordinator will recruit and support people who champion domestic energy efficiency in diverse ways; as members of community organisations, frontline agencies and those involved in BWCE’s previous projects. The Home Energy Outreach Coordinator will help create a strong, positive identity for these Home Energy Champions. They will work with others to curate, develop and run a programme of events, celebration, training and networking to meet a range of needs. In addition, they will provide more structured support for Home Energy Advice Champions, Home Energy Neighbourhoods (neighbours taking home energy action together) and existing Champions from previous projects. The role sits within BWCE’s Communications and Engagement team and the post holder will be supported by energy experts from BWCE and the Centre for Sustainable Energy.
Principal tasks
- Volunteer recruitment and support: Build a strong cohort of Home Energy Champions, including 50 Energy Advice Champions and other champions acting in different ways.
- Programme development: As part of the Community Energy Network, co-develop, innovate and implement a support programme for existing and new people who champion home energy efficiency.
- Organise group activities including drop-in sessions, roadshows, follow-on activities from our Green Open Homes programme and Home Energy Neighborhoods.
- Partnership working with the range of community organisations and agencies to ensure the Home Energy champions complement the work of others. This includes bringing in new partners to the Home Energy strand of the Network where opportunities arise, for example social housing providers or Parish Councils.
- Project Management: Take a project management approach to organising, scheduling, monitoring and prioritising tasks and managing risks.
- Communications: Provide content for promotional materials that will resonate with target audiences, as part of the Community Energy Network communications strategy and with support from communications colleagues.
- Evaluation: Undertake data collection and the reporting of Network activities, supporting evaluation through follow-up surveys, case studies, focus groups, working with Bath University

This role will deliver tailored, one to one support and case work to support and resolve both immediate, crisis situations experienced by people and on a longer-term basis in the community. In the main people we support are Irish or of Irish descent including the Traveller Community. However, our services are open to all.
Additionally, part of the role will include working across the project team and wider role of ICCM in early intervention and prevention. Informing and supporting community-based advocacy, awareness, and public campaigns to inform and increase knowledge and education of the community on how to access help, and the availability of support which is open to people as needs develop. Thus, increasing the wider public and social value of ICCM and brining more service users in to receive one to one support when needed.
This will attract and support our community by making our services local, appropriate, and accessible to those who mainly do not access mainstream services. This will include advocacy and representative services in order for people to secure welfare benefits, enabling people to access the financial benefits they are entitled to.
This will support people experiencing mental and physical health issues, substance misuse, facing legal issues, those who require debt management, threatened with eviction, domestic abuse, and bereavement. This will be done mainly on an outreach basis across Manchester, supporting people in their own homes, in care homes, hospital and where they are resettled to their home environment.
The overall aim of the service is to improve quality of life, access to appropriate support services and improved health and wellbeing outcomes by acting as an advocate and to negotiate with other agencies, where necessary, on our client’s behalf.
Key Responsibilities:
