About the role
Are you passionate about maximising the impact of grant funding? Do you have experience supporting and monitoring grant recipients to ensure long-term success? We’re looking for a Post Award Manager to oversee the post-award process, ensuring that funded projects meet their objectives, remain compliant, and deliver lasting impact.
As Post Award Manager, you’ll work closely with grant recipients, funding partners, and internal teams to track project performance, resolve compliance issues, and provide expert support. Reporting to the Senior Post Award Manager, you’ll monitor how funding is used, ensure grant conditions are met, and contribute to the continuous improvement of post-award processes. Your role will be key in ensuring that investment delivers real and measurable impact.
Key responsibilities
· Manage ongoing relationships with grant recipients to ensure compliance and success.
· Provide specialist advice and support, helping projects stay on track.
· Oversee the adoption of post-award tools, such as booking systems and grant management platforms.
· Attend site visits to assess project performance and resolve issues.
· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless transition into post-award monitoring.
· Track and report on project performance, using data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
· Engage with external partners, including local authorities, governing bodies, and community organisations.
· Contribute to the development of processes, systems, and KPIs to enhance service delivery.

What can we offer you?
The salary band for this role is £40,000 - £46,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.
You will start with 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (which increases after 2 years), plus additional time off to volunteer. We are seeking a Head of Communications and Marketing to lead on the charity's communications strategy.
The Head of Communications and Marketing is a strategically important post in the organisation with lead responsibility for overseeing communications, marketing and PR for the UK’s only national cleft lip and palate support charity. The role involves managing all aspects of internal and external communications including media relations, digital content and brand strategy.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Project Worker to support and sustain the Mockingbird programme across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with fostering services, making a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people in care.

About the Role
As a Project Worker, you will provide essential guidance and support to fostering services, helping them implement and sustain the Mockingbird model. You will work closely with key stakeholders, delivering training, offering ongoing support, and ensuring quality assurance. This role is home-based but requires extensive travel and occasional overnight stays within the UK.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting fostering services – Providing training, guidance, and quality assurance to partners implementing the Mockingbird model.

- Ensuring high standards – Contributing to the design and development of quality assurance and training processes.

- Excellent organisational abilities – capable of prioritising tasks and managing a varied workload.
- A proactive approach – confident working independently while collaborating as part of a team.

The Financial Wellbeing Manager will be joining the organisation at an exciting time, as we look to establish a brand-new Basic Needs Centre to support students in meeting their basic needs. They’ll be responsible for the design and implementation of a new financial education and support offering as part of the new Basic Needs team, supporting students with issues relating to key issues like food, housing, and finance.
As Financial Wellbeing Manager, you’ll support students to improve their financial literacy, equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to better manage their finances, and ensure that they are well-informed about the support available to them. With an increasing cost-of-living, rising student rents, and wider financial challenges on the horizon, the Financial Wellbeing Manager will need to be proactive and adaptable as we aim to prevent students from reaching a financial crisis.
As this is a new and evolving project, there is a great deal of opportunity to develop the role and the financial support offering within the Basic Needs Centre.

We are the regulator for the optical professions in the UK. Our purpose is to protect the public by promoting high standards of education, performance and conduct.
About the Advisory Panel
The Advisory Panel is a meeting of the four Council’s committees (Companies, Education, Registration and Standards) in plenary session. They are established by statute for the purpose of giving advice and assistance to Council (whether or not in response to a request from them) on:
· matters relating to business registrants other than matters required by the Opticians Act to be referred to the Investigation Committee, the Registration Appeals Committee or the Fitness to Practise Committee;
· matters relating to optical training, education and assessment;
· matters relating to registration, other than matters required by the Opticians Act to be considered by the Registration Appeals Committee; and
· matters relating to the standards of conduct and performance expected of registrants or those seeking admission to the register.
The committees and the Advisory Panel meet about twice a year. You can read the current terms of reference for the Advisory Panel, Education Committee, Registration Committee and Standards Committee.
Remuneration and time commitment
A daily fee of £319 will be paid. This is in line with our member fees policy and member fee schedule. This is taxable and subject to Class 1 National Insurance (NI) contributions. It is not pensionable.
Members can claim expenses for travel and subsistence costs incurred on Council business as set out in our expenses policy.
This role is part time with a commitment of approximately 2-3 days per year, including time spent preparing for meetings. Meetings will usually take place via MS Teams but may on occasion be held at the GOC Offices in London or other suitable venues.
