 About the role

The Fundraising Manager will play a pivotal role in the growth of Resolve. Funded for five years by The National Lottery Community Fund, the Fundraising Manager is central to securing the resources necessary to provide essential Drug and Alcohol treatment services ensuring organisational sustainability.

Resolve is currently reliant on Trusts and Foundations for funding, and you will spearhead efforts to diversify our income streams and expand our donor base.

Your responsibilities will encompass developing and executing a robust fundraising plan, forging strong relationships with key donors and surpassing fundraising targets.

This is a senior role and you will contribute significantly to organisational strategic initiatives, ensuring long-term sustainability and growth.

About you

· Strong evidence of fundraising success with a track record of raising income from donations.

· Experience of developing and delivering fundraising plans, alongside working towards and exceeding targets.

· First class communicator (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate to a range of audiences.

About the role

Resuscitation Council UK’s (RCUK) Communications and Engagement team delivers creative communications and authentic engagement activities that support the organisation’s vision to ensure that everyone in the UK has the skills they need to save a life and receive appropriate resuscitation.

Our audiences include health and social care professionals, members of the public, charities, professional bodies and associations, UK policymakers and campaigning groups.

We are looking for a creative self-starter with a passion for digital marketing and skilled in community management. 

You need to be a motivated and enthusiastic marketer who is comfortable working on impactful campaigns which have a wide and diverse reach. You should be confident bringing healthcare-related stories to life through different digital channels. You should also take a hands-on approach to all areas of marketing and understand the nuances, advantages and shortcomings of using different platforms.

You will be responsible for delivering outputs from our social media as well as leading on our email communications. You will analyse and evaluate the results of these campaigns and use insights to drive development, with support from the Digital Media and Marketing Manager.

Led by the Digital Media and Marketing Manager, you will also produce website content, support on paid advertising and creation of branded merchandise.

Digital marketing plays a key role in our ability to raise awareness for, and build the profile of, Resuscitation Council UK, our guidelines, courses, and standards. Working with other members of the Communications and Engagement team, you will support on digital aspects of campaigns and initiatives to further public awareness of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, defibrillation and support for survivors.

The post holder will work closely with all members of the Communications and Engagement, Governance, Operations, Clinical and Service Development departments and build strong relationships with the wider resuscitation community. Main responsibilities and duties

Website, SEO & PPC

• Write/produce, build and publish content for the RCUK website, including articles, features, statements and updates, ensuring diversity and inclusion is considered in everything we do.
• Ensure all content, imagery or files uploaded to the website are of an optimal file size and comply with accessibility guidance e.g., alt text, descriptive links.
• Support the Digital Media and Marketing Manager to deliver the SEO priorities for the organisation and increase RCUK’s reach. 
• Use insight (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Crazy Egg, surveys etc) to identify content gaps and opportunities for website improvements in line with user requirements.

Campaigns

• Support the communications and engagement team to deliver on key integrated campaigns across the year. 
• Support on the delivery of marketing and communications strategies for core RCUK products: including generating sales for commercial products such as e-Lifesaver and paid events such as conferences through digital marketing and direct communications.
• Support the Media and Campaigns team with asset creation and amplify media opportunities via our digital channels 
• Support the Policy and Public Affairs team with uploading policy briefings and maintaining resource repositories 
• Identify hooks and opportunities to promote RCUK’s work and increase digital engagement.

Email Marketing

• Project manage the delivery of email marketing communications in line with the organisation’s aims and objectives to engage our core audience with RCUK’s work.
• Support on the delivery of our annual BAU email communications calendar. 
• Evaluate the impact of RCUK emails activity, through regular analysis of emails sent, and use this insight to get a better understanding of how audiences are engaging with our email content and to continually improve email communications
• Ensure all emails are sent in line with General Data Protection Regulation (or GDPR).
• Support the development of a new email strategy to support business growth (e.g. e-Lifesaver prospects through sales journey) and audience segmentation. 

Social media

• Create, curate and share high quality social media content using a range of different and innovative formats. 
• Monitor RCUK’s social media portfolio and identify opportunities for RCUK expansion onto other social media platforms in line with organisational objectives and where the audiences we are trying to reach are. 
• Respond to comments across our social media channels and build support within our online community through engaging in conversations. Answer queries (liaising with other teams as required) and escalate any reputational issues to the Digital Media and Marketing Manager. 
• Identify opportunities and content for paid campaigns.
• Work with the Digital Media and Marketing Manager to evaluate the impact of organic and paid social media activity through monthly reporting and analysis of larger initiatives and campaigns.

Other

• Champion RCUK brand and style guidelines to ensure RCUK communications are consistent across all comms channels. 
• Use Canva/Adobe suite to design BAU social media graphics and toolkits for campaigns.
• Ensure our content is accessible and reflects the diverse resuscitation community and society as a whole. 
• Represent and promote the organisation and its products at internal and external events that RCUK is exhibiting at. 
• Manage the Communications inbox on a rota basis with the Media and Campaigns Officer & Policy and Public Affairs Officer.
• There is an occasional need for weekend/evening working and time off in lieu is granted in line with our time off in lieu policy.
• Support writing creative briefs for external design agency.

We are looking for a part time Information & Advocacy Community Support Worker in Scotland.  You will be home based living in the North of Scotland.

You will ensure that service users (children and adults) and their families, receive high quality support, from the point of diagnosis and throughout their journey, and will assist them to access funding, equipment and care and support that they are entitled to. You will join a team that makes a real difference to the lives of the people living with muscle-wasting conditions, and their families, in Scotland. The role will be primarily home based, but there will also be a requirement to attend outpatient clinics within the region, attend home visits where appropriate and to support responding to queries through the helpline and information inbox. Some travel will be required to attend meetings and events outside of Scotland. You will work with both statutory and voluntary organisations, clinicians, and health and social care professionals to ensure that people living with muscle wasting conditions get the care and support they need to live well and independently.

OVERVIEW AND JOB PURPOSE

Pump Aid is a dynamic, award winning and growing organisation, which is promoting a radically different approach to aid and development in the WASH sector by establishing Malawi’s first social impact business (Beyond Water) focused on delivering reliable access to clean water for rural communities. We challenge conventional development programmes by taking a business-based approach that ensures long term sustainability and impact for the communities we work with. Clean water results in better health, increases educational attainment and reduces inequality for women and girls across Malawi.

To support our mission we are recruiting a Communications and Fundraising Officer to help deliver on our ambitious growth plans to reach 2 million people by 2030. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated person with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who can plan and create compelling communications to increase awareness of our work and engage new and existing supporters. Furthermore, you will lead on key areas of our fundraising strategy including annual fundraising campaigns, individual giving and small trusts and foundations.

Roles and Responsibilities

• You will lead on defined elements of Pump Aid’s fundraising strategy: scoping, applications, reporting and management (to largely small to medium sized trusts and foundations, community funders and individuals.)
• You will develop and manage a schedule of compelling communications across a number of channels including social media, web and print that will grow engagement with Beyond Water’s mission.
• You will support the Head of Development to pitch to social impact and philanthropic investors by finding creative ways to differentiate ourselves from traditional approaches to international development.
• You will take responsibility for managing and administrating fundraising income, using Salesforce CRM to keep up to date records of donations, keeping donors updated through regular reports and leveraging annual campaigns including the Big Give Christmas Campaign to maximise individual giving donations.
• Maximise the value and duration of donor support through excellent stewardship and relationship management.
• While office hours are notionally 9:00am to 5:30pm, the demands of a business focussed on Africa, with donors in the UK, USA, Europe and Asia mean a degree of flexibility is required.

Candidate Profile

1. Strong experience in planning and executing communications plans across a variety of mediums (social media, website, blog posts, impact reports) to grow awareness and engagement with the work of our social enterprise

2. Demonstrable success in fundraising within the charity sector; scoping, prospecting, proposal writing and reporting.

3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to present to a variety of audiences

4. Experienced in home working and able to self-motivate and develop and execute personal work and action plans with limited face to face supervision

5. Demonstrable ability to prioritise and manage conflicting outcomes and objectives and ensure the right job is completed at the right time

6. Works well in a small, dynamic team

We are hiring a Grassroots Development Officer at BVSC on a 2 year contract. Responsible to the Funding and Development Manager, the role of Grassroots Development Officer will be to support the growth and sustainability of small voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations in Bexley. This role is funded by the VCSE Capacity Building & Infrastructure Fund 2024/2025 through the South East London Integrated Care System (SEL ICS) and aims to enhance the effectiveness of smaller, often informal groups delivering services that are both ‘by and for’ their service users that are crucial in addressing local health and wellbeing needs for the ‘under-served’ but face significant challenges in visibility and support.

The Grassroots Development Officer will be responsible for providing a wide range of organisational development support services and activities to assist grassroots VCSE organisations to develop, thrive and remain sustainable. This role is particularly interested in working with groups who deliver services to young people, the elderly, minority ethnic (global majority) and migrant groups, those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and residents in the north of the borough (areas with high deprivation and a higher proportion of small groups). 
You will be led by the VCSE sector within Bexley to ensure services are accessible, connected, consistent and to a high standard. Development work strives to build the capacity and capabilities of local groups, provide partnership/networking opportunities that enable them to carry out their own objectives effectively and offer high quality services. You will work flexibly and nimbly to provide consistent and seamless support to organisations. You will support across the whole spectrum of charity development, but focus on EDI (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion), governance, funding, safeguarding and developing a holistic training package in a variety of formats suitable for grassroots VCS organisations.

Kinship care often begins in crisis. A child has parents who are unable to care for them, for whatever reason. It can be frightening, confusing and heart-breaking.

Instinctively, a loved one steps in – a grandparent, brother, sister, aunt, uncle or family friend. They are now a kinship carer, bringing up the children they love. There is often no chance to prepare. Plans may be pushed aside. Relationships, jobs and savings are frequently sacrificed.

It is life changing and challenging raising children who have been hurt or neglected, but kinship carers do it anyway because they put the children first. We know how hard life can be for kinship carers, but we have seen the amazing things they are capable of, with someone by their side. About the Team

The Peer Support and Community team at Kinship is dedicated to enhancing the lives of kinship carers across England and Wales by delivering the first national peer support service. With a focus on building and sustaining networks of peer support groups, the team aims to empower kinship carers through access to resources, training, and development opportunities.

By fostering connections within local, regional, and national ecosystems, the team plays a vital role in ensuring that every kinship carer has access to a supportive community.

As part of our commitment to growth and impact, the team develops innovative approaches to peer support, creating an inclusive environment where kinship carers can share experiences and access essential services. We prioritize collaboration across various departments, ensuring that support group leaders receive high-quality advice and training, facilitating their sustainability and effectiveness.  About the role

This role is community-based and focuses on engaging kinship carers, bringing them together to form Peer Support Groups, and supporting them to achieve independence at which point they will receive ongoing support from our national Hub. You will do this by working with local authorities, schools, other charities and community groups. Arranging information events such as coffee mornings to engage kinship carers. You’ll create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive community for kinship carers, building belonging, resilience, and empowerment. Funded by the Department of Education, the National Peer Support Service is a game-changing service that creates a sustainable and life-changing legacy. It builds on Kinship’s 10 years of experience in developing peer support groups and two years of delivering a national service that has set up 145 new groups.

Who we are looking for:

We are seeking an individual located in or around Greater Manchester, and willing to travel across the North West of England who possesses the drive, passion, and skills to:

· Establish new Peer Support Groups across a diverse range of communities

· Supervise a small team of Peer Support Development Officers

· Demonstrate the energy and enthusiasm required to inspire yourself and your team to achieve key targets and objectives

· Work collaboratively within the Peer Support and Community Team, as well as throughout the broader organisation, to ensure the delivery of safe and effective support services for the kinship community.

· Maintain current Peer Support Groups, taking the lead from the national Hub.

· Maintain accurate records that are used to populate reports, identify learning and share key insights across Kinship that allow the organisation to continuously improve our services and products.

In the role of Senior Peer Support Officer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, consistent, and sustainable peer support service that has a significant impact on the lives of kinship carers.

You should have experience in developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with various community-based stakeholders such as local authorities, health services, schools, charities, and kinship carers. You will need to understand the key success factors involved in establishing and developing new in-person groups in areas of high need, as well as how to support existing groups in their journey towards sustainability.

As a practical thinker, you will work creatively to identify stakeholders and assets in areas of high need. You will build local connections and bring together kinship carers across the region, empowering them to build resilient and robust peer support communities.

You will be confident in building relationships that generate referrals from external stakeholders and in contacting kinship carers directly to secure engagement with local coffee mornings, community, and training events that will help kick start a thriving peer support group.

As you establish new groups, you will provide training to help them lead their groups effectively, and develop their group culture, resilience, and skills to function independently while offering reassurance and support to empower them.

You will be an inspirational and energetic team leader with experience in providing day-to-day line management and operational support for a small team.

We are ideally looking for candidates based in or around Greater Manchester but willing to work initially across the whole of the North West. This role may involve working to establish groups in West Yorkshire and into North Staffordshire.

A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes are essential, as this role may require travel across London and its periphery to reach areas in need of dedicated support.

Key responsibilities: 

Service delivery:

• In person (face-to-face) strategic outreach into local and regional communities including setting up and attending local engagement events.
• Work creatively to set up and develop new sustainable in peer support groups, attending up to six sessions in person (if needed) before transition to self-sufficiency.  Existing groups that are at risk, closed or need support will need replacing or rejuvenating to maintain DfE service level agreements across the team, in addition to new groups. 
• Recruit and retain support group leaders to develop their peer support groups.
• Deliver training to support group leaders (group roles and responsibilities, safeguarding, setting up, running and promoting a group).
• Develop strong boundaries and positive relationships with support group leaders – building resilience, empowerment and community.
• Support established groups in your area to access support group leader networks and training (this includes visiting groups in person) to build a peer community. 
• Help develop and deliver a service blueprint for sustainable peer support groups, thinking strategically about how to develop groups.

Via home visits, you will work with each tenant to agree a support plan to enable them to maintain their tenancy and move towards independent living.

You will complete and update records of interactions with tenants on the internal database and input data accurately onto monitoring spreadsheets.

Global Fund for Children is looking for a Development Officer to join our global Strategic Partnerships Team in an exciting new UK-based role. Your main responsibility will be to help steward our active relationships with donors and supporters around the world, manage delivery of key grant outputs, and build relationships with philanthropic funders and foundations.

 This role will require engagement with our global staff team, alongside senior leadership and key stakeholders, and our expansive network of community partners around the world. You’ll help to develop strategies that build our relationships with key donors, ensuring all our reporting output is of a consistently high quality. This role will have a truly global reach with a primary focus on supporting programming and donor relationships for our work in the UK, Europe and Africa.

 What will you be doing?

• Manage the global calendar of donor deliverables for the Development team

• Consistently create and deliver compelling reports and other donor deliverables, according to our grant agreements, including collecting data, writing content, reviewing financial information, and ensuring compliance details.

• Work collaboratively across the Development team, engaging with key stakeholders, to deliver on strategic goals and KPIs.

• Liaise with Program and Finance colleagues to share grant requirements and reporting expectations, build reports and deliver high -quality stewardship items.

A wonderful opportunity exists to join the energetic, friendly, and talented Beyond the Streets staff team, dedicated to achieving the aim of living in a UK where women aren’t compelled to sell sex; free from coercion, violence, poverty, and other abuses. We also work towards the aim of ensuring that those that are involved in selling sex can access effective services without experiencing barriers such as stigma, a lack of understanding, and judgemental attitudes.

The charity formed over 20 years ago, and we’re now a leading specialist within our theme. Beyond the Streets works in 2 key areas:

1) Direct Support: We provide direct support for women involved in selling sex via two frontline services: 1) Beyond Support, based in Southampton (a national remote telephone service offering long-term 1:1 support with trained Women’s Support Worker); 2) Door of Hope, based in east London supporting women involved in selling sex on street via street outreach, drop-ins, advocacy to gain/maintain access to services, 1:1 Psychotherapy sessions, and 1:1 long-term support

2) Impact Work: We run training courses for third sector / statutory professionals to increase awareness and educate on women’s support needs. In partnership we produce research and resources and reports, involving lived experience voices, to support better access to services for women and encourage systemic change. We also host an affiliate network of 30+ organisations nationwide.

About the role…

We’re looking for someone with energy, motivation, and experience to be able to make an instant and vital impact on the organisation; someone who can understand the big picture, has good attention to detail and can make things happen. The role will focus on increasing income from donations and sustaining our current grant income; both playing a key role in maintaining our frontline services and impact work. With plans around developing our supporter base and growing our number of regular donors already in place, you will not only have the opportunity to quickly become involved in key activities but also the chance to influence these plans through your own expertise.
