  • Additionally, you will assist in appointing and monitoring the Chief Executive’s performance.

Key Responsibilities

You will be instrumental in challenging and evolving our vision for spiritual care, promoting the understanding that death is part of life, and supporting community engagement. Collaborating closely with the Spiritual Support Lead and multi-faith leaders, you will enhance spiritual care for our patients and families of all faiths and none. • Demonstrated experience in continuous learning and development

  • Strategic insight and ability to engage at an executive level

  • Proven experience in strategic development and implementation

  • Respect for alternative traditions and the ability to explore the meaning of life openly

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse group of stakeholders. With excellent listening skills and awareness of unspoken needs

Time Commitment

The role requires in-person attendance at quarterly board meetings (3 hours) at Winsley House and participation in Strategy Away Days held off-site twice annually. You will also attend relevant board sub-committee meetings quarterly, which may be held virtually, and participate in ad-hoc meetings and wider engagement activities as needed.
