As Legacy Case Officer you will: 

- Be first point of contact for the Legal team, representing the charity in communications with legal professionals
- Be responsible for the day to day management and coordination of legacy case file administration and stewardship for Thames Valley Air Ambulance to meet the legacy income budget
- In conjunction with the Individual Giving (and legacy?) Development Manager, develop, deliver and evaluate a legacy programme, in line with the Fundraising department strategy and Thames Valley Air Ambulance aims 
- Act as a source of expertise in legacy fundraising for the charity 

About you
To be successful in this role, you will need strong administration skills, with the ability to manage a varied and busy workload effectively. You will also need excellent communication skills, from drafting written correspondence to interacting with the public on the phone, or face to face at events. Ideally you will have experience of having sensitive conversations as you will be in regular contact with bereaved families. A knowledge of Wills, Probate and Trust law would be desirable.

About the role:

As Head of Venture Support, you will grow the profile of the organisation’s venture support activities and lead our Venture Support team to deliver business programmes for a wide range of early-stage and growing social and environmental impact ventures including tech for good startups and social enterprises. You will also develop and implement new service offerings to support our ventures in becoming a force for good in society as we grow the profile of our work. Our support includes structured accelerator programmes, grant initiatives, innovation challenges, and social investment.

You will champion the organisation’s venture work to attract business partners and investors, managing key strategic relationships whilst creating new partnerships and business development opportunities.

You’ll manage and develop a brilliant team of Programme Managers, Venture Outreach Associates, and Venture Advisors and make sure they’re on track with programme design, recruitment, budgets, delivery, and impact. You’ll provide timely support and direction to the team members who are passionate about enabling business to be a force for good.

Key areas of responsibility include:  

• Develop and oversee the execution of a strategy for outreach, seeking, attracting and onboarding deserving and qualified innovative entrepreneurs and start-ups.
• Provide credible strategic guidance to programme managers in content areas such as business modelling, sales and marketing, financing, fundraising, overall strategy, operations etc.
• Create project plans and timelines to map out milestones and help assess resource requirements across central services such as marketing and accounts.
• Enable and support the professional growth of the Venture team as they work across a variety of clients, programmes and geographies.
• Liaise with senior management, the marketing and fundraising teams, and the broader organisation to sustainably grow the impact of our support, including our vision to grow impact business support to many more locations nationally.
• Manage the novel social investment programme we have established leveraging equity and revenue-based finance instruments.

About you:

As Head of Venture Support, your ability to build rapport quickly and develop strong working relationships across different stakeholder groups will be based on reading situations quickly and strong interpersonal skills. You will have experience working with start-ups, entrepreneurs, mentors, universities, research institutions, industry experts, business membership associations, local or central government, and angel investors.

In previous roles, you’ve led teams, complex projects and/or large programmes. You break down problems with a cool head and take tough decisions when needed but understand the role of mentoring to build strong teams. People leadership will be a large component of your day-to-day.

You’ve managed a P&L before and have the skill to quickly read a cash flow and the confidence to make tough decisions when the business demands them. You also understand equity investment, bring angel and VC connections, and have a passion for developing a new social investment vehicle in the Cambridgeshire area and beyond.

Whether it’s time spent being around and supporting them or your own experience you will understand the journey of the entrepreneur, the challenges and barriers faced and the fundamental building blocks that create impactful and sustainable businesses.

Essential requirements required for this role:

• A passion for the mission of the organisation and our work supporting impact ventures.
• At least 4-6 years of experience working with entrepreneurs, start-ups, accelerators, incubators or incubation consultancy.
• Financial management skills, including P&L responsibility and social investment experience
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

• Comfortable speaking at events, roundtables and peer sessions
• Travel to Cambridge and Peterborough Future Business Centres fortnightly from an operating base in East London (Whitechapel) or if based in Cambridge travel to East London and Peterborough.

Kingston Bereavement Support (KBS) is the only bereavement service in Kingston Upon Thames. We are a registered provider to local GPs and an organisational member of the Childhood Bereavement Network. With a new government in place this is a great time to join the Advice and Rights Team at CPAG as we look to influence policy makers and parliamentarians and support the advice sector in delivering a fair and comprehensive social security system in the UK.

The Early Warning System (EWS) collates evidence of long-term concerns and developing issues within the benefit system, from the advice sector and beyond. EWS evidence is used to develop and promotes improvements to the benefits system with our colleagues in the Policy Team, as part of our work to end child poverty.

The EWS officer will actively promote the EWS, encouraging contributions from advisers and claimants. The EWS officer will record and analyse case studies as well as the issues which arise on our advice services, to provide insight on the impact of changes to the benefits system and evidence for our campaigning and research work.

You will play a key role in responding to calls for evidence and consultations, and liaison with the DWP and other policy makers. You will work closely with the advice sector through publications, briefings and events such as seminars and conferences, to increase advisers’ awareness of the concerns highlighted by the EWS and to promote solutions to support claimants.

Job Purpose

Responsibilities  

Corporate Fundraising 

• Develop, implement, and sustain a dynamic corporate fundraising portfolio, maintaining a well-organised pipeline of funding opportunities. 

• Attend and contribute to networking events, while actively organising events to foster relationships with new and existing corporate donors.

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London.  All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment. This role will be working with clients who have mental health support needs, wanting to gain paid employment.

We are expanding our services and are recruiting for Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Employment Support Workers across the London Boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Newham and Barking & Dagenham.

Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to employment as an integral aspect of wellbeing and supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. Theatres Trust, the national advisory body for theatres, is looking for a Theatres Adviser with knowledge and experience of theatre buildings and the wider theatre sector, to be part of its small team of Advisers. 

Working closely with the Architecture, Planning and Theatres at Risk Advisers, you will bring your expertise as a theatre industry professional at a senior level to provide advice, guidance and signposting to theatre operators, owners, local authorities, campaign groups, developers and other stakeholders to support the resilience and wellbeing of the UK’s theatres.

The Role

Reporting to the Infrastructure and Service Desk Manager within the Technology Team. The role of the Technical Engineer (Data management and compliance) will work primarily to ensure that we comply with various legislative and regulatory requirements around our unstructured data.

The role will need to heavily engage and work alongside the different business areas to deliver the position's requirements. 

The role will require:

· Good understanding of various data types and data structures.

· Good knowledge of full-text search engines and how Elasticsearch works.

· Utilisation of data management toolsets such as Reveal.

· Knowledge of legislative & regulatory areas and what this means for data management.

· Understanding of data security.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Helath Advocate Educator (HAE). The post holder will train and provide ongoing support to GP practices and other health professionals to enable primary and secondary care staff to be able to effectively talk to their patients about domestic violence and abuse (DVA), provide early identification and offer appropriate care pathways for female and male victims of domestic violence and abuse aged 16 years and over.

Grandmentors

Grandmentors is a national volunteering programme where older volunteers (aged 50+) use their lifetime of skills and experience to support and mentor vulnerable young adults leaving the care system. These young adults often need a guiding hand and role model to support them to find work, continue their education or begin training – ultimately giving them the skills and self-belief to lead successful and independent lives.

Volunteers meet with a young adult regularly to boost their confidence and work towards goals, which are unique to each person.

Role Purpose

We are recruiting two part-time Project Coordinators to effectively deliver all aspects of our Grandmentors project in Wiltshire, ensuring it achieves its aims, objectives, outcomes, and targets. The postholders will work alongside teams within Wiltshire Council and with local volunteers to ensure that we improve the lives of care experienced young people (aged 16-25) through the unique power of inter-generational mentoring.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Effectively manage the service to ensure it meets agreed targets and millstones.
• Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and local authority staff.
• Ensure volunteers are recruited, appropriately trained, and supported in their role; this will involve processing volunteer expenses, DBS checks and maintaining databases.
• Ensure regular communication between project staff and volunteers is maintained and that regular supervision for volunteers is provided.
• Work with your line manager to ensure project expenditure is in line with the budget.
• Maintain accurate records on all aspects of the project and submit data onto a secure system.
• Manage and maintain effective monitoring and evaluation records to capture impact and outcomes and ensure contractual compliance.

• To implement and maintain appropriate risk assessment management processes.
• Prepare impact and progress reports for both internal and external purposes.
• Develop relevant information to promote and raise the profile of Volunteering Matters locally.
• Promote and adhere to Volunteering Matters Equality and Diversity Policy and all other Volunteering Matters policies which relate to the work of Grandmentors.
• Contribute to joint working and teamwork across Volunteering Matters and your regional team.

The role requires someone based within Wiltshire. With a flexible working policy, the postholder can be based from home or within Wiltshire Council offices. The postholder will need internet access to enable remote working. I.T. equipment and infrastructure will be supplied.
