This role is responsible for proactively supporting the Finance Manager in the effective management of Frontline’s finance function. It involves the achievement of finance best practices within the day-to-day finance operations that will foster a high-performance culture, empowerment, quality, productivity, and compliance within Frontline.

As part of this role, we will agree to pay for accounting exams as required and you will be entitled for 2 days study leave per exam.

Some key responsibilities include:

• Producing monthly management accounts spreadsheets, assist in accounts variance analysis
• Supporting budget holders in a variety of ways including managing budgets, annual budget setting, preparing reports for funders and external bodies
• Processing journals (accruals, prepayments, accrued and deferred income) and run reports within the accounting system
• Maintaining the nominal ledger and Fixed Assets Register
• Assisting in the preparation of cashflow forecasts, funding application and the annual statutory accounts.
• Undertaking balance sheet reconciliations

A little bit about you 

This role will suit an someone experienced in management or financial accounting, and will support someone who is a part-qualified accountant aiming to complete their studies (although this is not essential). The panel would like to see applicants that are resilient, efficient and can communicate financial information to non-experts in a clear, concise and understandable way.

As our Fundraising Lead you will work with the Fundraising Manager to increase the number of supporters and income by: 

• Developing and organising fundraising events, campaigns and community support 

• building relationships with existing and new supporters

The role:

You will be responsible for managing the quality and delivery of services to women who have experienced domestic violence and abuse from crisis to step down and recovery. The portfolio includes management of Advance’s wide-ranging services in Brent and Ealing including IDVA provision, MARAC co-ordination and specialist co-located projects. In addition, you will support with development, implementation and management of new services in Brent, Ealing and beyond, as required.

What you will bring:

The successful candidate will bring a passion for the women’s sector and a dynamic, can do attitude. You will be an exceptional relationship builder with a proven track record of leadership in providing services to women experiencing violence against women and girls (VAWG) and working with partners and funders. You will be an inspirational leader, responsible for recruiting, developing and managing a team including first tier managers and their teams and will be responsible for coordinating, reporting, and the delivery of the related services as commissioned by the boroughs and other funders.

In short you will have:

• A relevant qualification or equivalent experience (e.g. management and leadership) with a particular focus on the women’s sector/community and voluntary sector
• Significant experience, likely to have been gained over several years, of strategic planning and operational management at a service manager level and developing and delivering services at senior service management level.
• Strong negotiating skills and the ability to build strong and effective relationships and partnerships, dealing with ambiguity and resolving conflict effectively, achieving the right outcomes for the organisation, collaborating and networking.
• Significant experience of work with women and/or children with a complex range of needs, risk assessing, needs assessing and safety and support planning.
• Experience of developing relationships with funders/commissioners and achieving required outcomes.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced grants manager to work closely with the Head of Grants and Assessment to develop and support grant management, including developing new systems, to ensure that processes are compliant, auditable, efficient, and timely.

The role of the Project Support and Admin Worker will play a vital part in the running of the day-to-day operations within our London office and across a number of our programmes. • To provide a support function to the London Project delivery team to ensure that staff and project managers have a nominated administrative member of staff to work with.

• Work with the staff team to ensure that ACN’s methodology and ethos is being delivered by our network partners in London, ensuring a consistency of offer/service across the organisation.
• Represent the organisation with external networks including funders and network partners in the sector.
• Work with the team to prepare and execute funding reports and communicate the department’s impact for young people and the community.
• Ensure monitoring data is of a high standard, inputted onto our software system in a timely and accurate fashion ensuring strong project management against KPIs and funding requirements.
• Analyse data and manage a high output of project data to inform the department of their performance against contracts and the ambitions of the team.
• Work with other representatives in the charity to ensure project returns, reports and funder requests are managed efficiently and to a high standard.

As the Senior Policy Manager Equity & Equality, you will work closely with the Associate Director for Policy and Public Affairs England to set the strategic direction for the England PPA team, and to deliver its operational plan, as well as deputising for them when required.

You will be responsible for:

- Maintaining an expert overview of evidence and policy relating to equity and equality and end of life experience and leading the development of key related projects to ensure that issues of equity and equality as they relate to those affected by dying, death and bereavement are at the heart of contemporary policy debates.

- Analysing and responding to policy developments within UK Parliament, Government and other public bodies at both national and local level and assessing the impact on the equity and equality of people affected by dying, death and bereavement.

- Developing and maintaining a close relationship with the Marie Curie research team, and other researchers, and collaborating with them to develop the evidence base for key policy projects - including through commissioning new research as needed.

- As a Marie Curie spokesperson on policy and public affairs issues relating to equity and equality at the end of life, represent and convey its views through media interviews, speaking engagements, and through public affairs activities with senior policy decisionmakers at national and local level

- Managing staff and deputising for the Associate Director for Policy & Public Affairs England as required.

Key Criteria:

- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to strategically influence and negotiate

- Understanding of equity and equality policy issues at national and local levels

- Experience of seeking to influence policy or practice on a social issue

- Experience of leading and managing staff and projects or programmes

Our Charity supports 13 adults with learning disabilities/autism to lead fulfilling and independent lives whilst being active members of the community.

The Role

As our Team Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Creating and managing monthly rotas;
• Supporting and supervising assistants;
• Organising and leading weekly team meetings;
• Inducting new starters into their role and completing competency observations;
• Overseeing reporting such as medication records, health and safety, and quality assurance;
• Leading on the planning and facilitating community events;
• Working as part of the senior leadership team to maintain a high quality of care;

The Team Manager supports the Registered Care Manager in creating and promoting community and a sense of home, leading the service delivery in line with L’Arche values, traditions and standards, and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission [CQC].

About you:

• Well-organised, IT literate and adept at allocating and delegating work appropriately.
• Accomplished in effectively leading and managing team performance, such as providing clear objectives, reviewing outcomes, putting in place development plans, and taking appropriate action to deal with poor performance.
• Proven ability to guide, support and teach the essential skills of supporting people with learning disabilities/autism.
• A clear understanding of care planning processes.
• 1 or more years’ experience as a Team Manager working with adults with learning disabilities.
• NVQ Level 3 in health and social care.
• Experience in, or be willing to learn, digital care planning programmes.
• Up to date knowledge of CQC regulations with the ability to apply them in a care setting.
• Natural ability to help make the lives of others more fulfilling.
• Supportive of the identity, mission and values of L'Arche and enthusiastic about working within a community organisation rated Outstanding by the CQC.

Would you like to play a strategic role in the development of fundraising in the world’s first children’s hospice? If so, come join our Philanthropy Team and help make a real difference to local children and families who use our care services.

With a new CEO and Director of Income Generation on board, and a new three-year strategy in development, there is considerable potential to develop the major gifts income streams and the Trusts Fundraising programme. You will be responsible for circa £800k income this financial year with the opportunity to develop and grow both income streams.

Your excellent oral and written communication skills will play a key role in personally cultivating and developing relationships with high profile funders and supporters to ensure we are maximising the strategic and financial benefit to Helen & Douglas House. In addition, you will work to maximise donor recruitment, retention and ultimately lifetime value.

To succeed in this role, you will possess strong experience in major donor and/or trust fundraising. You will be experienced in developing and delivering complex income and expenditure budgets, including regular variance reporting and reforecast and planning contingency action. While experience of Donorflex or other similar relational database is preferable, training can be provided.

This is a hybrid full-time role with 2 day per week spent working in our office in Cowley, Oxford. Pay range for this role is £43,445 to £56,131 per year, dependent on skills and experience.
