Kingston Race and Equalities Council (KREC) are working in partnership with South West London Health and Care Partners to develop an Anti-Racist approach across South West London. KREC is working on engagement with community and voluntary organisations to make sure our approach is co-designed with local people and communities, ensuring it resonates and that initiatives have meaningful impact. 

One of the ways KREC plans to do this work is to identify and work with a number of community and voluntary organisations to help determine what issues communities consider should be tackled to help address Racism in SW London. 

About the role

KREC is seeking to recruit a part time Officer to work within South West London to help develop an Anti-Racist approach. This is an opportunity to be in the centre of change for communities in SW London, at the same time developing a new approach to reduce race discrimination and inequality in health services. The role will manage a grants programme and work in partnership with those organisations funded to gain valuable insight in developing our approach across South West London.

About Black Thrive 

Black Thrive Global (BTG) evolved from the work of the Black Thrive Lambeth Partnership, which was established in 2016. We exist to address the inequalities that negatively impact the mental health and wellbeing of Black people so that the thriving of Black communities is the norm. 

Our guiding principle is that Black communities should be at the forefront of reimagining, redefining and co-creating a society where systemic racism and other oppressive systems have been dismantled so that they have fulfilling lives. We have two priorities – building a Black Thrive Research Institute and embedding race equity in systems change. 
 
In September 2021 we launched our Thriving Futures Collective which has expanded the work of Black Thrive Lambeth and launched Black Thrive in Haringey and Birmingham, with Mind in Haringey and Catalyst4Change as our partners. 

We have grown rapidly since 2021 and so still have a start-up culture and often deal with competing priorities at a fast pace. As such we are seeking team members who can be responsive to change, adapt seamlessly to evolving projects, uphold momentum in their work, and remain steadfast in their commitment to the broader organisational purpose. 

Purpose of the role 

As the Programme and Partnerships Manager = Thriving Futures, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the implementation of the Thriving Futures programme, ensuring effective collaboration with partner organisations to advance Black Thrive’s mission. Relationship building with the localities teams is an important element of the role. 

The Thriving Futures workstream is undergoing a strategic shift, focusing on key areas identified during its three years of operation. This includes intentional co-learning, community feedback through Black Thrive Community Assemblies, development of community metrics, and refining our role and offerings as a backbone organisation. 
 
The role entails managing the programme’s day to day activities, ensuring alignment with the programme's objectives and goals, procuring additional funding resources and managing a Project Officer. You can anticipate working with different combinations of Black Thrive locality workstreams. Your responsibilities will vary, encompassing project management, financial oversight, strategic development, communications activities, as well as engaging in learning, reflection activities and research. 

The role also has responsibility for assisting in writing and delivering grant applications and bids to major funders to secure funding to support the work of the programme. 

Duties and responsibilities 

1. Lead on the planning, execution and monitoring for delivering the Black Thrive Global Thriving Futures programme and other activities related to the achievement of the programme objectives and milestones. 

2. Engage with and provide support to the Thriving Futures Collective partners (Lambeth, Haringey and Birmingham), staying informed about their activities and aligning initiatives with project requirements.

3. Develop and deliver comprehensive project plans, schedules and budgets to ensure timely and efficient delivery of projects. While maintaining meticulous administrative and electronic systems to ensure the fulfilment of key project deliverables and dependencies, aligning with project goals and timelines. 

4. Provide guidance, support and supervision to the Thriving Futures Project Officer responsible for supporting the programme’s operations.

5. Develop and execute fundraising strategies to secure additional financial resources for the Thriving Futures programme. Explore opportunities to package programme initiatives for income generation. 
    
6. Oversee data collection, analysis and reporting and lead on collaboration with partners to develop methodologies for transforming community feedback into actionable metrics.

The Parish of Mother of Unfailing Help, which comprises Leeds Cathedral and the Church of the Holy Rosary, Chapeltown, is looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced individual to play a key role in the running of this busy Cathedral Parish.

The role  will include some evening and weekend work.

The post holder will play a key role in establishing the operational infrastructure necessary to support the running of a wide range of activities at Leeds Cathedral, Cathedral House, Wheeler Hall, Holy Rosary Church and the newly refurbished Holy Rosary Community Room.

This is a new role whichrecognises the evolving demands of parish life and the advantages of introducing lay involvement in the operational management of our parish structure. The role requires excellent people management skills and will have day-to-day line management responsibility for a small team. It has a particular focus on facilities management and a key aspect of the role will be improving income generation from Wheeler Hall and the Holy Rosary Community Room as well as the day-to-day administration of the Parish, including the parish finances and administration associated with the Sacramental Programmes. The Parish is funded primarily through the offertory collection (donations) from parishioners. Some specific works may be grant-funded. We are part of the registered charity of the Diocese of Leeds. The primary location of work will be Leeds Cathedral, which as well as being the Mother Church of the Diocese of Leeds, is home to the celebrated Diocese of Leeds School Singing Programme and Keyboard Studies Programme. This makes the Cathedral a particularly busy and often musical place to work!

The Accelerating Reform Fund is a new initiative which aims to transform social care services, making them more responsive to the needs of the community.  It is a national programme, with 42 regions allocated to have their own projects.  Greater Manchester is one of the ARF regions. 

The ARF has a particular focus on unpaid carers and will see hands-on support provided to delivery partners from the Social Care Institute for Excellence. Crucially, the ARF aims to boost short-term breaks for carers and improve hospital discharge processes. This work is made possible by Department for Health and Social Care grants.

Job Summary 

The Senior Project Manager will play a pivotal role as the key contact point for Gaddum’s infrastructure support of the GM system. They will work closely alongside our passionate and skilled Greater Manchester colleagues in this transformative journey, taking ownership for the achievement of key project milestones, and will ultimately ensure that the system has the oversight and awareness of risks in order to plan for successful deployment.

Job Purpose 

The Senior Project Manager (SPM) will provide expert oversight and support across the ARF projects, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective delivery. The SPM will, as per their job title, project manage the infrastructure element of the entire GM programme. 

They will coordinate efforts across various sectors, manage stakeholder engagement, and be responsible for the integrated approach to risk management, data governance, and financial oversight. The role is accountable to Gaddum’s CEO, and will report to them.  It is central to ensuring the successful execution of the ARF's vision and objectives. 

Ultimately, the SPM’s goal is to support the system to achieve a consensus on what success looks like for the ARF in GM, and then work alongside the system to enable it to achieve it. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

• Project Management Expertise: Working to agreed methodologies, provide expert oversight, ensuring all ARF projects are coordinated and integrated effectively across different sectors, with a clear definition of success. 

• Stakeholder Identification and Engagement: Lead stakeholder mapping and engagement, involving adult social care, hospitals, respite providers, carers, and other system partners, adding capacity to pre-existing stakeholder mapping. 

• Collaboration: Facilitate regular meetings, workshops, and forums to coproduce strategies and solutions, ensuring robust involvement of lived experience in the programme. 

• Coproduction: Utilising pre-established coproduction and engagement programmes, ensure lived experience leadership principles are made available, and integrated, into the GM ARF consortium. 

• Oversight of Delivery: Monitor and manage project delivery, maintaining alignment with national evaluation frameworks, and leading on the coproduction approach. 

• Evaluation: Ensure the GM system reaches the ideal level of engagement to ensure regional and national evaluation programmes can properly assess the impact of the ARF across GM.  This will include working alongside the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) on a Theory of Change for the GM system, and working alongside the National Evaluation Panel. 

• Data Systems Integration: Lead the development and integration of data systems, ensuring real-time understanding of needs and outcomes across GM. Facilitate data exchange, ensuring alignment with national standards and compliance with data governance policies.  Act as main point of contact for a “Centralised Data Hub”, paying close attention to barriers and/or compliance requirements, such as interoperability and Information Governance. 

• Budget Management: Support Manchester City Council’s finance team to develop detailed budget plans and forecasts, reporting on the project budget, ensuring funds are allocated efficiently and effectively across all project components. 

• Internal partnerships:

• Working closely with Gaddum’s Head of Finance and the lead authority to ensure financial tracking, budget management, and reporting are aligned with project objectives. 

• Ensure seamless partnerships between the ARF system and Gaddum’s commissioned services, working closely with the Head of Operations. 

Other key tasks & responsibilities of the role 

• Line Management: Supervise the Project Administrator, ensuring they provide effective secretariat responsibilities for the consortium. 

• Risk Management: Keep stakeholders well-informed about risks, strategies, and progress.  With the consortium, co-design and manage risk register elements, providing rapid escalation of issues to the CEO and consortium, developing solutions where necessary. 

• Troubleshooting: Take all reasonable steps to enable system partners to identify barriers and develop solutions. 

• Continuous Improvement: Establish and maintain ongoing feedback loops, making necessary adjustments to the project’s approach based on stakeholder input and real-world outcomes. 

• Coordination of reporting: Work closely with SCIE and GM ARF stakeholders to ensure data integration and reporting, aligning regional data with national datasets and performance metrics. 

• Contracting and Compliance: Ensure adherence to contracting and compliance requirements, maintaining robust monitoring and reporting systems 

• Systems Change Facilitation: Lead on systems change initiatives, ensuring that all project components are aligned with the strategic goals and objectives of the ARF programme.

This role is being advertised as full time (35 hours per week) but we are willing to consider applications from candidates who wish to work 28 hours per week.

• Organise online and in-person, internal and external meetings and events, including booking venues and refreshments, assisting with the production of materials, fulfilling mailings and taking bookings for our community development work across Scotland

As the Helping Rhino Fundraising Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of the charity’s fundraising goals through multiple income streams. There will be a focus on stewarding and growing the charity’s major donor database (both individual and corporate), delivery of successful engagement and fundraising events and producing creative online appeals. The role will also require the successful candidate to drive income from legacies and guide the Charity and Fundraising Administrator to deliver our community fundraising and every day giving targets.

The role will be supported by the CEO and the Charity and Fundraising Administrator.

This is a fantastic opportunity that would suit an individual with a proven track record of achieving ambitions fundraising targets and someone who will play a key role in the growth of Helping Rhinos over the next 5 years. ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a new post within this service area in which we are seeking an ambitious, person-centred leader to join our team in Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) as a Service Manager. In this role, you will report to the Area Manager, and you will manage multiple dispersed services across the RBKC region, managing a team of 9 support workers. 

The service provides 154 units of accommodation to people experiencing homelessness and who have complex needs. The services are spread across the area and are 24 hour supported accommodation sites. You will lead your service to comply with the needs of our commissioners, residents, and organisation, whilst supporting staff to create a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE). You will have overall responsibility for your service to deliver high quality service delivery, performance, and improvements. 

We are looking for someone who is experienced in supporting those who face multiple and complex needs, ideally homelessness. We actively encourage applications from individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds, particularly lived experience; Naturally, we approach any emerging issues with empathy and sensitivity. We have a team of EDI Ambassadors who are staff volunteers and actively support us in fortifying our organisational value of Inclusivity. 

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday in the face to face service, you will also partake in our out of hours on call duty and may be required to work flexibly to meet service needs and requirements.

• Follow the relevant risk assessment and management procedures, share any relevant information with partner agencies as appropriate

Property and Housing Management

• Create and manage a welcoming, psychologically informed home environment for residents and participants, ensuring a continuous focus on safety, health, and wellbeing
• Ensure the accommodation in which residents live is clean and maintained to a high standard, in line with SIG’s property standards and meets all legal and statutory health and fire safety requirements to operate safely, effectively, and efficiently
• Ensure a provision of a high-quality housing management service to residents

Financial Management

• Manage the service’s budget and review monthly management accounts; manage set budgets effectively and ensure resources are maximised
• Maintain financial management within the service, including but not limited to, invoice management, arrears management, management of petty cash, and expense claims

Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the position.

In this essential fixed term role, you will be a key player in the senior leadership of the Fundraising and Supporters Team. You will be joining at an exciting time, with recent significant investment in the team who lead on our corporate partner relationships, developing and delivering a new event strategy, and driving ambitious growth in our community fundraising activity (inc. volunteer led fundraising, third party income, support from groups clubs and societies and local and regional benefiting charity status opportunities).

Having overall responsibility for the Community Fundraising, Events and Corporate strategy and budget for EAAA, you will manage income and expenditure, ensuring integration with the wider fundraising and organisational strategic plans. Working collaboratively, and supported by your key Managers and Fundraisers, you will be responsible for the supporter experience for all community fundraising, corporate and event audiences.

Using your significant experience of leading a fundraising department in the third sector, you will lead and motivate a team of diverse and talented individuals as they deliver their objectives and provide an outstanding experience for everyone who engages with the charity.

*For office-based contracts the role will be worked a minimum of 3 days a week from our Norwich, Cambridge or Melbourn offices and up to 2 days a week from home. The exact days worked in the office will be agreed with the successful candidate, but you must live within the four counties we cover – Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. Switchboard’s listening service is available to all LGBTQIA+ communities in the UK. It offers a safe space for anyone to discuss anything, including topics such as sexuality, gender identity, sexual health, and emotional well-being and more. Handling over 17,000 conversations each year, their services continue to be in high demand, with their network of volunteers overing a vital service to people across the country in times of need, but also proving incredible insights into the issues that impact the LGBTQIA+ community the most.

Since 2021 the organisation has been on a journey to establish a staff team to oversee day-to-day operations within the charity. They are now looking to introduce this new role as they grow throughout 2024 to a team of 11.

Prospectus is delighted to be supporting Switchboard as they look to appoint a Volunteer Community Lead to join the organisation.

This position is offered on a full-time, hybrid basis with 2 days working in the London office a week and the remaining flexibly from home.

The role:

This brand-new role sits within the staff team at Switchboard and reports directly to the Head of Volunteering and Training. The post will work closely with key volunteer-led operational teams. As the charity looks to cover its rota more effectively, they are working towards recruiting and training around 100 new volunteers in 2024, taking the total membership to around 350. This number will continue to grow each year, until they are able to handle ALL of the calls, IMs and emails the service receives.

With this in mind, Switchboard wants to ensure they not only retain new volunteers for a number of years, but that each volunteer books regular shifts, are looked after and feel welcomed and an important part of an active, vibrant and inclusive community.

This role reports into the Head of Volunteering and Training and oversees four main areas: volunteer socials, wellbeing initiatives, celebrations and EDI endeavours. This role is key to ensuring the charity retains, nurtures and engages volunteers within Switchboard, and that they create a community of volunteers which reflects the rich diversity of the wider LGBTQIA+ community.

This vital role will entail, delivering a range of in-person and online engagement events throughout the year, managing the Pride activations for 2025 and onwards, overseeing Switchboard’s programme of volunteer celebrations, managing wellbeing initiatives and ensuring Switchboard continues to celebrate being  a rich, diverse and inclusive organisation.

The person:

The successful candidate will have extensive experience of organising and producing social and professional events of all shapes and sizes. They will have strong exposure to EDI initiatives and will have a natural interest, or actual experience in promoting wellbeing in the work-place.

This person will have outstanding people skills as the soft skill aspects of this role will be absolutely critical to its success. It will be important that this person demonstrates a broad understanding of the issues and challenges people from the LGBTQIA+ community face in their everyday lives. Similarly, this person will need to appreciate that these issues and challenges will also be faced by Switchboard’s community of volunteers as a result.

You will have extensive experience of organising social gatherings in a professional or volunteering setting, both large and small, collating and analysing data to measure effectiveness & impact, managing third party supplier & contractor relationships, in addition to having a collaborative, communicative & empathetic approach to mobilising networks and driving forward levels of customer service and Volunteer experience.

This person will be comfortable with public speaking and engaging audiences, will be highly organised and above all, fully committed to the work of Switchboard, becoming a natural advocate for the organisation both internally and externally as a result. This person will need to be able to manage all in-person events, wherever they are based, so some locational flexibility will be required.

Purpose of your Job:

This is an exciting new role at Centre 33 and will play a key role to support the advancement and successful implementation of an operational plan to fundraise across Corporate and Community opportunities.

We would like to hear from ambitious fundraisers who have experience in these income streams, maybe as a team member, who is looking for the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge further within Centre 33’s growing Fundraising department. The role holder will work closely with the Development & Partnerships Lead and Director of Development & Partnerships to help create an operational plan and will then have ownership of delivering the plan and the associated income target. This will include identifying opportunities, creating cases for support, and arranging engaging and productive events for existing and potential partners. There will also be the opportunity to feed into the Communications team on external campaigns that the charity develops to build awareness and showcase Centre 33’s amazing work, including an upcoming capital appeal. You will also work closely with the Operations and Finance teams to understand the charity’s services and funding needs, and to ensure timely sharing of programme information to facilitate funding applications and reporting to existing grant holders. You will support the Development & Partnerships Lead and other team members with Trust and Foundation applications and other fundraising activities as required.

You will be confident establishing new and growing existing meaningful relationships and will maintain clear records of progress in our CRM (Donorfy). Working with colleagues across the organisation, you will prepare high-quality communications, proposals and pitches which demonstrate our deep understanding of young people’s needs and help us to successfully meet our fundraising goals.

We have a great opportunity for a Community and Challenge Events Manager working for the small but mighty Leukaemia UK, reporting to the Head of Public Fundraising.  As the Community and Challenge Events Manager you will be responsible for generating nearly a 3^rd of the income for Leukaemia UK, leading the team across a range of areas including virtual challenges, in-person events and community fundraising.
