About the role:
This role is a hybrid working role co-located in the Housing department of Merton Civic Centre.
As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will:
- Implement effective ways of working with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm.
- Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a premium service prioritised according to risk, primarily focusing on victim/survivors aged 16+
- Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.
You will need:
- Have a knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse (in heterosexual or same-sex relationships).
- Have a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children.
- Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children
- Understand safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
- Direct service delivery to victims of domestic abuse or other vulnerable people.
- Have excellent communication, negotiation and advocacy skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals. Understand and be committed to equal opportunities and diversity issues in policy and practice.
- Have a strong crisis management skills and the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations.

The Role
Reporting to the UX Manager, the Junior UX Designer role will help develop user-centred products and services across our website and other digital platforms, with a strong focus on accessibility, usability and engagement to support those impacted by stroke.

This role provides advice and advocacy to LGBTQ+ people who contact Stonewall Housing because they are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The goal is to help people understand their rights and navigate their housing options in order that they have somewhere safe to live. People usually contact us because they are in crisis, the Case Worker’s job is to calmly assess their housing needs, provide them with immediate advice and sign posting and, where necessary, provide advocacy case work to ensure they get access to what they are entitled to.
Key Responsibilities
· To provide a high quality, flexible and responsive advice and case work service to LGBTQ+ people, supporting them to exercise their rights and get access to safe accommodation.
· To assess the individual needs of each person and provide a bespoke advice and advocacy plan.
· To ensure that effective service user participation mechanisms are in place.
· To ensure a high level of customer care and practice at all times.
· To develop links with relevant external agencies.
Main Duties of the Post
Casework Sessions
· To give holistic support to LGBTQ+ people accessing our advice and advocacy service and to provide proactive support to these service users who are sometimes hard to engage.
· To assess each individual’s current housing situation and form a view with regards to risk associated with their case.
· To explore all options available to the service user allowing them to make informed decisions.
· To work with LGBTQ+ people accessing the advice and advocacy to develop and review individual work plans and risk assessments.
· To have regular case work sessions to provide structured support, in relation to Housing specific issues.
· To liaise with other service providers ensuring service users receive the necessary support to sustain their accommodation, acquire relevant independent living skills, maintain or improve positive physical and mental health and access into meaningful occupation of their time.
Liaison with Landlords / Other Agencies
· To support service users to report repairs and work with landlords and advocate where necessary.
· To support service users to contact local authority, voluntary and private sector landlords to report anti-social behaviour issues and advocate where necessary.
· To support service users to present to local authorities as homeless, where appropriate, and advocate where necessary.
Other Duties
· To establish and maintain accurate and complete records in all areas of work
· To complete statistics for the collation of performance and funding information
· To maintain up to date knowledge of legislation and regulations in relation to funders and other key areas.
· To participate in individual and clinical supervision meetings, annual appraisals and training
· To act in accordance with the organisation’s Diversity Policy, Health and Safety Policy, Code of Conduct and all other corporate policies and procedures

The Role
Our client is excited to offer an opportunity for a Peripatetic Recovery Navigator to join their Northumberland Recovery Partnership Team.
This is a dynamic and rewarding role where you will:

Working to a Strength-Based Approach focusing on individuals and community assets, you will work alongside other frontline practitioners.
You will be resourceful, able to articulate yourself appropriately on behalf of your service users and resilient to change and challenges. To support this, alongside line management and multi-disciplinary clinical meetings, you will be provided with regular psychologist led reflective practice.
Please Note: As a peripatetic Recover Navigator you will be required to travel to different bases throughout Northumberland covering Absences, illnesses etc. you wont be required to hold a caseload but may be required to work across all work streams within the partnership - Mileage will be paid.

Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer, the Head of Finance will provide a stable and flexible finance function to support the charity at an exciting time of growth and development. Working with teams across the organisation, this role is critical to maximising impact through excellent financial management. You will need to communicate with all levels to promote understanding of the finances of the charity, including preparing information to trustees and finance audit and risk committee, as well as being an advisor to the COO and wider Executive team in contributing to forward planning and strategy.
You will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the charity and its wholly owned subsidiary. This role will include overseeing and finalising the production of financial management information, leading on the production of budgets, forecasts and financial planning and analysis. The ideal candidate will be a finance professional and be ACA, ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA qualified or equivalent, with previous experience of leading a finance team within a Charity or similar organisation. The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a DACT Navigator (Drug and Alcohol Care Team) to support the organisation’s service delivery within the community services. As a DACT Navigator, you will provide 1:1 support for service users, from brief interventions through to structured treatment, and supporting those within the community. You will take a “whole person” holistic approach to ensure that every service user’s package of care encompasses all areas of their wellbeing, to achieve the best possible outcomes for every person.
As DACT navigator, you would support:
- Those experiencing ongoing alcohol and drug issues
- Mental health is identified as an underlying issue or drug and alcohol related.
- Ongoing complex mental health need (self-reported or diagnosed) which is impacting on being able to address their substance misuse or impacting on their engagement with the service.
- Risk levels identified as moderate to high, i.e risk taking or erratic behaviour, self-harm and fluctuating suicidal ideation.
- Not currently referred or engaging with CMHT
- Possible frequent attendance at hospital, calls to crisis team, frequently referred to services but often does not engage.
- Identified at either complex case, MDT, Hospital liaison, crisis team or mental health huddles.
Please note this role is based across county Durham - driving licence is essential.
This role does involve occasional weekend working, there is a rota and every 12 weeks you will be required to work 9-12 on a Saturday
