We're seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Young Person’s Worker. In this role, you will play a vital role in providing support to at-risk young people who are experiencing homelessness.
Your mission: to support and empower young people to develop the lifelong tools they need to lead fulfilling lives outside the confines of traditional services. You will carry a caseload of clients who you will formulate a comprehensive support and safety plan with, which forms part of the ongoing casework, promoting independence and preparing young people for moving into independent accommodation, and employment and education.
About the Role:
As the Young Person's Worker, you will be working within a strengths and recovery framework embedded within a trauma informed approach to ensure client needs and aspirations are at the centre of the support planning process. You will be the lead worker overseeing the support and development of the young person’s needs and aspirations. You will guide and signpost the young person to the relevant statutory and non statutory services and will be key in motivating and coaching the young person to develop independent living skills.

The Associate Director for HR Operations is an exciting and new role at the College in which you will work collaboratively with all Divisions to support a range of operational and strategic HR activities, as well as embracing and contributing to College wide projects and the enhancement of the People & Culture Division.

About The Role
This is an exciting time to join African Adventures. With significant growth plans over the next few years, the Programmes Officer will oversee the planning, development and delivery of our core charitable programmes. Primary Responsibilities
- Working closely with our in-country teams, manage the delivery of our current programmes such as ‘Food Security’ and the ‘Good Period programme’.

- Liaise with our in-country teams to determine work required in our partner schools and gather quotations for this work.
- Ensure all volunteer work is appropriate for the nature of the group and costed accordingly.
- Be responsible for keeping the partner schools area of internal systems up to date (i.e. school information, planned work, wish-lists etc.)
- Provide on-going support and bring new ideas for the expansion of our programmes.
- Manage the planning and execution of larger one-off projects, such as WASH.
- Be the link between our in-country teams and our UK teams to ensure cohesion and programme goal alignment.
- Keep all African Adventures staff up to date with progress at our partner schools via email/internal newsletters, weekly team meetings, and occasional team training sessions.
- Occasional support to Fundraising Manager in other ad hoc tasks, such as grant writing and communicating with beneficiaries.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Schools’ Adviser to join the Education team in the Diocese of Chester.
The Adviser will be a key member of the Diocesan Education team, working in conjunction with the School Effectiveness Officer, providing strategic leadership that promotes and delivers educational excellence and effectiveness across our Church of England schools and academies in the Chester Diocese.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong personal commitment to promoting education with a Christian purpose and have qualified teacher status.
This is a part-time position for 3 days (21 hours) per week. The role offers hybrid working that includes working from Church House at Daresbury Park, Warrington, and travel around the Diocese.

The Arboretum is the UK’s year-round centre of Remembrance and part of the Royal British Legion
As a Chef you will be operating within one of two full-production kitchens within two separate buildings (Remembrance and Aspects) to supply catering across multiple outlets including self-serve 380 cover restaurant, table waited functions room up to 500, coffee shop, ‘pop up Foodservice outlets within the grounds of the Arboretum and hospitality. We are open daily from 10:00 till 17:00 7 days a week, we do some bespoke evening events in our Aspects building throughout the year.
If successful, the main duties of your role will be:
- Consistently maintain high standards of food service and provision to meet the expectations of our visitors
- Adopt operational responsibility for one area within the kitchen (for example one of the preparation areas, baking, hot meal production, etc)
- To operate across two full-production kitchens within two separate buildings to supply a 380 cover self-serve restaurant, table waited functions room, events and functions hospitality, coffee shop, and ‘pop up’ outlets within the grounds of the Arboretum.
- Ensure that the methods of preparation and presentation comply with the standards set by the Executive Head Chef
- Ensure that all areas within the kitchen and dining room areas are clean and tidy at all times, and all relevant documentation is up to date
- Daytime and evening Events catering up to and including formal banqueting for up to 500 attendees
You will have experience of working as a Chef in a busy kitchen together with a catering qualification and food hygiene training. Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential together with the ability to work under pressure.
You will be working 5 days out of 7 with the occasional evening work at events.

Working hours
09:00 to 17:30, Monday to Friday. However, we operate core working hours in Head Office so you can choose to start early and finish early (e.g. 8:00 to 16.30), or start later and finish later (e.g. 9.30 to 18:00). We are a delivery organisation providing frontline educational services for young people. Our Head Office team is based on the site of our North Kensington centre in West London. Our Head Office team works in-person 4 days per week with 1 day from home.

The role of the Volunteer Coordinator and Studio Assistant is to provide support for volunteering activity across the organisation and visitor engagement within the new Studio space and Ground Floor Gallery. Based on a community consultation, we recognised a huge need for more space for participation work with local communities.
The Volunteer Coordinator and Studio Assistant will encourage reflective conversations with visitors in a lively, social atmosphere.
