We’ve been on the frontline of the world’s response to HIV and AIDS for over 25 years, working with marginalised people who are denied HIV prevention and treatment simply because of who they are and where they live.

Set up in 1993 to work with community groups in the countries most affected by the global AIDS epidemic, we’ve continually adapted our approach, looking for innovative ways to break down the barriers that marginalise people living with, or at risk of acquiring, HIV. The Head of Support Services will work with the Director of Support Services to create a positive, supportive culture of personal growth, underpinned by a holistic and empowering health and wellbeing approach.​​

Supported by the trustees, the CEO, staff and service users, the postholder will be a leader and will provide a constant stimulus for self-improvement in a learning, supportive and diverse environment. A candidate with a proven track record of delivery, they will provide high level and efficient management of Betknowmore UK support and community programmes, including all three primary services, GOALS, New Beginnings and Peer Aid, as well as bespoke projects which include the development of Hubs within key London Boroughs and creating digital activities.​

The postholder will work to ensure impactful service provision and outcomes; recruit, train and supervise a team of staff/mentors/volunteers to deliver support and community activities; and oversee service integration and collaboration with the National Gambling Support Network (NGSN) partners and other key stakeholders.​

A key aspect of the role will be to work closely with people presenting with gambling-harm issues and/or people impacted by someone else's gambling. The Head of Support Services will oversee sustainable recovery interventions which may include structured psycho-social 1:1 ​and group activities, counselling and therapy, peer and mentoring support, with services ​co-produced by clinicians and health professionals, and insight and knowledge from experts ​by experience. ​

The candidate should demonstrate previous experience of management and oversight of similar programmes of work, within mental health, addiction or community NHS or voluntary sectors. ​

Experience of gambling support and treatment and/or harm minimisation programmes is desirable, but not essential.​

Working with other members of the Senior Management Team, they will input into the management of the charity, as well as supporting grant, contract and tender submissions, operational management, governance, performance and contract monitoring and outcome reporting. This will include financial planning and budgeting.​

Key responsibilities and accountabilities​

Development and Delivery ​

• Manage the strategic and operational performance of services to agreed standards and targets with the Director of Support Services and CEO.​
• Provide management oversight to service teams and ensure the activities they are leading on are delivered to set quality and outcomes, that they are safe and operate in positive environments, and adequately supervised, monitored, audited and reviewed.​
• Provide management oversight to the charity’s portfolio of programmes and projects, including those within the National Gambling Support Network (NGSN)​
• Ensure strategic & performance coverage of all areas of service delivery outlined in the services’ SLAs.​
• Review service delivery and implement necessary changes, to ensure high quality service, reflecting best practice and clear impact for all service users.​
• Conduct regular supervision with staff and service users about service effectiveness and maximise client involvement in service design and development.​

Monitoring and Evaluation​

• Produce a monthly service review, linked to the charity’s strategy and business plan.​
• Manage monitoring and evaluation framework and oversee CMS/CRM systems.​
• Liaise with external support networks, such as universities and research organisations, to aid data management requirements.​

Line Management​

• Ensure staff are recruited, supervised and developed in accordance with Betknowmore UK systems and processes, in particular annual planning and review and objective setting.​
• Support the provision of staff training to the highest standard and in accordance with Betknowmore quality assurance standards ​
• Provide HR support and on-going staff line management.​
• Liaise with Clinical Supervisor to ensure staff have adequate support and resources.​
• Contribute to the development of services knowledge and practice, by keeping up to date with current research and practice and ensuring that the clinical and support approach of the teams reflects such current information as appropriate.​

Partnerships Building and Collaboration​

• Develop our operational and strategic relationship with external partners and stakeholders to maximise the success and impact of Betknowmore UK services.​
• Co-ordinate Betknowmore UK contribution to service-related networks ensuring attendance at relevant operational and strategic meetings and provide feedback and sharing of information.​
• Represent the organisation at events, webinars and other meetings to inform service development and promote best practice in service delivery.​

Financial Management​

• Oversee budgets and expenditure related to the services and help meet targets.​
• Provide oversight to petty cash and day to day expenses.​
• Assist with other fundraising associated with service development as agreed with Senior Management Team.​

Health and Safety Responsibilities​

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff, clients and other beneficiaries is intact.​
• Oversee Betknowmore UK premises and risk assess external sites, ensuring all working environments work correctly to policies and procedures. ​
• Ensure that Betknowmore UK Diversity and Equality policies are upheld.​

General​

• Attend regular supervision sessions with the Director of Support Services.​
• To operate with clear professional & confidentiality boundaries to work within the organisations code of conduct.​
• To carry out other duties commensurate with the post.​

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Corporate Partnerships Officer to support a small team in the effective coordination and administration of our medicines donation process and account management of our much valued corporate donor companies.

About the role

The postholder will play a key role in coordinating the donation of medicines from some of the largest UK and European pharmaceutical companies including Accord, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer and GSK. This is a varied role where the postholder will have opportunities to work on both account management and processes, ultimately contributing to safe and effective donations of medical product.

-   Supporting in the day-to-day management of relationships with our corporate donors and acting as a daily liaison with some accounts

About Us

Bridges Outcomes Partnerships (BOP) is a not-for-profit social enterprise that works alongside Government, community groups and specialist Delivery partners to design and deliver vital services that support people to improve their lives, in areas ranging from housing and employment to education and health & wellbeing.

The role of BOP spans project development (working with Government and others to design and launch the service), project management (coordinating the delivery phase, managing performance, and liaising with the various stakeholders) and project finance (funding the project until it starts to earn outcomes payments). About the opportunity

As an Impact Analyst, you will work within a team across 2-3 social impact projects initially. An example of one of the programmes you will become a key part of delivering is a community based, preventative emotional resilience and wellbeing pilot called Turning Tides.

Turning Tides is a two-year pilot programme testing innovative means of protecting and promoting the mental health and wellbeing of vulnerable young people along the North Yorkshire Coast. The programme leverages local organisations and their expertise, providing each young person a dedicated coach who works to identify a participant's strengths and ambitions – and takes a community-based asset development approach to match those goals with opportunities in the local area.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include.

· Overseeing all data related aspects of the programme including data collection, extraction, cleaning, analysis, reporting, and presentation.

· Gathering and analysing quantitative and qualitative data to measure the impact of service innovations for the programmes you are working across. Produce regular reports and insights that aid decision making to continuously improve programme design.

· Taking initiative to propose and implement relevant analyses to the project to maximise positive impact for participants with the programmes you are supporting.

· Building relationships and working at times directly with Delivery Partners (VCSE organisations who are delivering the frontline services for the programme) to ensure they are able to use the data systems accurately and effectively,

· Identifying opportunities for process automation and improving utilisation of management data by colleagues across the programme.

· Supporting the Programme Lead on all operational and project management needs, including coordination of team activities and providing other administrative support.

· Working with the Investment Lead and colleagues in Finance, to ensure invoices for outcomes achieved by participants within programmes are processed.

· Engaging with other analysts across BOP to share learnings from your own project and implement learnings from other projects in your own.

Starting salary is £27,500 FTE and we are looking for someone to work between 18 and 37 hours.

Home-Start is committed to promoting the welfare of families with young children to enable them to have the best start in life. We are recruiting a Senior Family Support Worker to offer support to families with complex needs which may include poor mental health or English as a Second Language.  The role will be based in Guildford, but working in family homes across the borough.  The successful candidate will be someone experienced in: working with parents; the needs and development of young children and developing projects.

Purpose of the job:

• To provide support to families experiencing multiple or complex issues, which may include poor mental health and English as a second language through regular home visiting
• To facilitate a Family Group, in accordance with the Family Group procedures and Family Group guidelines
• Manage Family Group volunteers through supervision and managing roles and rotas
• To implement good Safeguarding and confidentiality practice in all areas of work
• To ensure inclusion and diversity in all aspects of Home-Start Guildford’s work

Main responsibilities:

• To support families through visiting by: assessing needs, planning support and monitoring progress (through review meetings) whilst maintaining high standards of practice within the Home-Start model.
• To review and identify outcomes of support visits or Group sessions and where appropriate, liaise with Coordinators and inform them of any concerns/ issues.
• Welcome parents/ carers to the Family Groups, support them to share quality time with their children and provide non-judgemental support.
• To set up and clear the room at Family Group, ensuring all equipment is left clean and tidy.  Maintain cleanliness and safety of toys and equipment, replacing when necessary.
• To keep clear and accurate records on a family’s file on the database (Charity Log) of all contact, support to families and reviews.
• Work with other colleagues including health and social care professionals to achieve family resilience.
• Attend Team Around the Family, Child in Need and Child Protection meetings when necessary.
• Attend staff team meetings and supervision.
• Manage own caseload, administration and diary commitments.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of local service provision for appropriate signposting and referrals.
• Contribute to the Volunteer Preparation course.

Supporting the work of Home-Start Guildford:

• Promote Home-Start Guildford at local networks.
• Attend Home-Start family events and outings and relevant training.
• Work cooperatively with the Manager and staff team to support the development of and promotion of Home-Start Guildford.  This may include inducting new team members.

Young Responders is an exciting new St John Ambulance project which has been made possible by funds raised by players of People’s Postcode Lottery and awarded through Postcode Innovation Trust. The project aims to engage and empower young people from diverse communities who face the greatest health inequities to become active health citizens, through peer-to-peer learning and practical physical and mental health first aid sessions relevant to the challenges they face. Aimed at young people aged 14 to 25 (or 11 to 25 for broad access), who would not typically come through our doors. Young Responders will use existing St John young people and volunteers to deliver first aid training to young people from under-served communities. To deliver this ambition, young people and volunteers will become Community Champions who will deliver sessions that are local to young people and reflective of their needs and those of the community in which they live. The Facilitator will be responsible for directly leading and delivering first aid training sessions with community organisations and educational settings. This role will also offer pastoral support to those delivering sessions to support their welfare and wellbeing.

Purpose of the role

As the Executive Assistant to the CEO, you will hold a pivotal position within our team, providing essential support to the CEO. You will work in schools and in the community, across the West Midlands, delivering our innovative schools programmes and Youth Encounters.
