The Head of Food, Oceans and Land Use (FOLU) – African Partnerships is accountable for setting and delivering ClientEarth’s programmes and impact strategies in Africa in line with our global mission and strategy. This role mobilises and orchestrates ClientEarth’s programme experts to deliver activities and impact through engagement with partners based in West and Central Africa.
ClientEarth’s FOLU Africa programme works to build, implement and enforce effective laws, as a vital part of building governance systems that better and more equitably manage forests and other ecosystems. The programme is founded on long-term partnerships with lawyers and civil society organisations based in West and Central Africa.
The Head of FOLU – African Partnerships operates under the global mandate of the Chief Programmes and Impact Officer. As such, the post-holder leads initiatives that are primarily focused on our work in Africa, while continuing to collaborate globally and embody the principles of “One ClientEarth”, driving global level systemic change.
Main Duties
- Regional Programme Strategy -Lead strategy development and implementation with respect to Food, Oceans and Land Use (FOLU) in Africa; Is accountable for the delivery of ClientEarth’s programmatic initiatives in Africa through close collaboration with partners and employing the range of ClientEarth’s tools, including litigation, capacity sharing, legal advocacy and influencing.
- External Leadership & Partnerships - Lead ClientEarth’s relationships with partners in Africa, ensuring best practice in partner engagement.
- Staff Management - Define, in collaboration with line-managed staff members, individual work priorities and well-tailored and achievable work programmes, delegating tasks and responsibilities accordingly;
Role requirements
- Fluent (CEFR level C2) in English
- Proficiency in French
- Law degree or other legal qualification
- Experience of working in the not-for-profit sector in Africa, including working on programmatic strategy and impact measurement
- Experience in large grant budget management and donor reporting, preferably institutional funds from a multilateral/bilateral donor
- Strong commitment and understanding of human rights issues, especially as they relate to the rights of Indigenous Peoples and local communities and Gender Equality and Social Inclusion considerations

About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join Reprieve’s dynamic Development Team to secure vital funding to power our high-impact human rights work. Working across both Reprieve and Reprieve US, you will make a real impact by focusing on Major Donors, corporate partnerships, and events. Length and Salary
This is a full-time role, on a one-year fixed term contract, with the possibility to extend, subject to funding. The annual salary is £42,193 per annum, less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance.
This role is based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work two days per week from the London office and the rest of the week from home. Applicants must have the current right to work in the UK, which will be checked prior to interview.
Your presence is important during core office hours, whether remotely or in the office. You will also be available outside of office hours in the event of an emergency, for example case developments that require urgent action. This is a role that may require travel and work outside of core office hours from time to time.

HOMES FOR WELLS is looking for a dynamic new Chief Executive to lead our organisation into the next phase. As a small local Housing Association in the beautiful town of Wells-next-the-Sea we house local key workers in affordable rented accommodation.
We are a Charitable Community Benefit Society, a RSL and a CLT. We have a board of volunteers and two part time staff – a Chief Executive and an Administrator.

Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led learning programmes at HMP Hollesley Bay. Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.
Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.
This role will be prison based. The Helen Bamber Foundation (HBF) is a specialist UK charity which provides expert care and support for refugees and people seeking asylum who have experienced extreme human cruelty such as torture or human trafficking. We work with hundreds of clients every year from all over the world. HBF delivers a specialist Model of Integrated Care that addresses the complex needs and vulnerabilities of survivors. Through the Model of Integrated Care, the HBF offers survivors access to an individually tailored programme of specialist psychological care and medical advisory services, legal protection including providing expert medico-legal documentation, welfare and housing support, and creative and skills activities within an integration programme. Where someone is a survivor of human trafficking they benefit from HBF’s counter-trafficking programme of support. The Foundation’s expertise is renowned in the field.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Client Services Team which operates within HBF’s vibrant, multi-disciplinary team. The duties of Client Services Administrator are two-fold 1) is to host our busy reception area and friendly waiting room; welcome clients and visiting professionals to the Helen Bamber Foundation and attend to any needs they might have and 2) to oversee the booking of appointments between clients and staff/volunteers across the organisation; liaising with third parties and clinicians in relation to Initial Assessments; booking and managing doctor’s diaries for our Medical Advisory Services and the booking of interpreters across the organisation. You will be at the heart of an exciting team of experts, working as the face of HBF and the first point of contact for both external and internal queries. You will be a self-motivating team player, organised, efficient and have a compassionate mind-set.
The role will work closely with the other person in post as Client Services Administrator and jointly manage the workload. The role also includes assistance and general facilities support to the Senior Operations and HR Coordinator.

Main Responsibilities:
- Receiving deliveries and support the team to ensure the stock monitoring and management process is followed all the time.

- Support the Pantry Manager to manage the ongoing operation of Peckham Pantry.
Key Requirements (specific skills, qualifications required):
- Experience of food-based stock control systems and knowledge of food hygiene.
- Physical fitness, tha ability to stand for long periods, and move stock. Able-bodied, owing to the physical demand of the role.
- Good IT skills, with a working knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Highly organised, methodical and a good multitasker.
- A team player, and able to work once a week in the evening on our monthly rota and on the occassional Saturday.
Desirable knowledge/expertise
- Experience working or volunteering in a charity or community organisation.
- Knowledge of the food poverty sector.

You’ll be delivering high quality information and support to those looking to enter a blood cancer clinical trial. Working alongside a team of specialist nurses, you’ll be giving patients and their loved ones the knowledge and confidence to better understand and potentially access clinical trials, together with the time and space so often not available from their clinical team given the extensive pressures of the NHS.
You’ll also have the opportunity to participate in exciting project work as we look to increase our reach and value for the blood cancer community, ensuring clinical trials become more accessible for all.

The Individual Giving Manager will contribute towards Ex Cathedra’s ongoing sustainability and success by maximising philanthropic income:
Strategy and research
• build, maintain and continually seek to expand a pipeline of prospects capable of making gifts at a high 4-, 5- and 6-figure level, making sure that all progress is tracked, monitored and reviewed on a routine basis
• explore our existing data to identify major gift prospects, working in line with data protection law and fundraising regulations
Individual giving
• work closely with the General Manager and Individual Giving Officer to further develop and implement strategies that will increase major gifts and legacy donations to Ex Cathedra, dovetailing with the Trusts and Foundations consultant where appropriate
• arrange and conduct face-to-face meetings with prospects and donors to help build and progress meaningful relationships through regular dialogue
• use their judgement to involve the artistic director, trustees and colleagues where most beneficial/advantageous
• align prospective donors with high-value funding opportunities for the performance programme, education and participation work, or area of greatest need according to the interests of the donor

About you

The Helen Bamber Foundation, founded in 2005 by the pioneering human rights advocate Helen Bamber, was created to reflect the evolving global patterns of violence and persecution. Helen Bamber, who entered Bergen-Belsen Concentration Camp in 1945 as part of one of the first rehabilitation teams, recognised that all survivors of extreme violence—regardless of the perpetrator—require safety, legal protection, and medical and emotional support. Today it is a specialist clinical and human rights charity that works with people seeking asylum and refugees who are Survivors of trafficking, torture and other forms of extreme human cruelty.
In 2020, the Helen Bamber Foundation joined forces with Asylum Aid (established in 1990) to form the Group. Asylum Aid specialises in providing legal representation to vulnerable individuals seeking asylum, focusing on the most complex cases including survivors of trafficking, children, and stateless people. Having moved into our new Trauma Centre last year, we are now looking for our first Office Manager, to coordinate and ensure that our office space and facilities are maintained in a safe, clean, and secure environment.
