This is a Permanent Part-Time role for 21.5 hours per week.

The Corporate Fundraising Officer's role is to generate income from companies in England to support the RSPB's key conservation and people engagement work via various channels including our Corporate Membership scheme, Corporate Team Challenges, Corporate grants, sponsorships and partnerships.

The successful candidate will be based in England, ideally (but not essentially) in the South East/London area. The role could be done from home, although we do have a number of office locations.

What's the role about?

Working with colleagues you will be:

• leading relationships with certain companies;
• working with other fundraising colleagues, supporting and helping to enhance established corporate relationships and helping to add value to new propositions;
• working with our reserves teams, identifying potential opportunities that may appeal to companies;
• working with our people engagement teams on exciting opportunities for sponsorship;
• involved in co-coordinating the delivery of funder fulfilment, usually via other colleagues; and ensuring that any funder that we may work with aligns with the, or is working towards, the environmental standards which we demand.

This work area will be measured against agreed income targets to support RSPB's work in line with key performance indicators.

You would be expected to proactively research and pursue funding opportunities and relationships; identifying new potential sources of income to support identified priorities and maximise funding opportunities by contributing to the implementation of an agreed fundraising plan; working with operational teams on specific projects to meet funders and project timescales.

You will be expected to update and utilise our Customer Relationship Management system to ensure accurate records are kept facilitating effective contact management across the organisation

What we need from you

Essentials:

• Working knowledge and application of relevant Chartered Institute of Fundraising, Fundraising Regulator and Charities Act regulations and guidelines.
• Relevant understanding of fundraising, including supporter motivations
• Experience in fundraising/ sales/project management and delivering to income targets.
• Successful relationship development in an outward facing role.

Desirable:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interpret complex information and present it with clarity.
• Persuasive negotiator with the ability to influence.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office.

 About The Hygiene Bank 

Hygiene poverty is not being able to afford many of the everyday hygiene and personal grooming products most of us take for granted. The reality of low income is that it restricts people’s options, leaving us caught between being able to heat our homes, pay the rent, eat, or be clean.  It is washing hair, bodies, faces and clothes in the same cheap washing up liquid used for the dishes. It is not being able to replace a toothbrush when needed or sharing a toothbrush because one each just isn't an option. It is having to choose between shaving foam and razors or the transport fare to a job interview.

Hygiene Poverty is the hidden crisis facing the UK. In May 2024, The Hygiene Bank published their second groundbreaking research into the incidence and impact of hygiene poverty. It found that over 4.2 million adults across the country are currently experiencing hygiene poverty and that it is both alarmingly widespread, increasing and disproportionately impacts the most vulnerable. It stops people from participating in society, feeds the mental health crisis and blocks routes out of poverty. It is simply unjust.

About the Role

 As one of our team of four Partnership Managers, you will have the exciting opportunity to make a huge difference in improving the lives of people living in hygiene poverty. Reporting into the Head Operations, the Partnership Managers plays a pivotal role in the charity and are responsible for overseeing and co-piloting our volunteer lead community projects.

The role is varied and requires strong time management, organisational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, meticulous record keeping and strong volunteer management.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Volunteer Experience Manager to actively recruit volunteers in key areas, in line with our strategic objectives.
• Onboard new projects by supporting the volunteer project coordinator with all aspects of setting up a community project.
• Foster positive relationships with the project teams to ensure engagement and inclusion and to be the first point of contact for them.
• Co-design and implement project plans for the newly formed projects identifying areas of support needed to sustainably grow the project.
• Work with the projects to identify suitable Community Partners in line with our strategy and eligibility criteria.
• Support the project with any funding applications and ensure impact data is captured.
• Ensure all projects are compliant and operating within out charitable objects, therefore reducing the overall risk the charity.

The role of the Operations Manager is to support the delivery and growth of the Award through provision of guidance and support to a cohort of existing Operators – a network of local, regional and national organisations around the world, licensed directly by the Foundation to deliver or manage the Award.

As the Manager of our Integrated Sexual Health Service (ISHS) in Hertfordshire you will lead a team of five staff to deliver a dynamic sexual health education and prevention service. You will work with colleagues from the NHS, pharmacies and community stakeholders to deliver in local communities, ensuring better sexual health outcomes for the local population.  You will work with the METRO training and communications team to ensure the delivery of that METRO’s services are communicated across a wide range of targeted audiences, and that a high standard of training programmes for professionals and service users are delivered. The services you will oversee consist of a condom distribution scheme, the National Chlamydia Screening programme (NCSP), sexual health promotion and campaigns, training and education and support for schools and colleges.

Programme

METRO is working in partnership with Central London Community Healthcare Trust (CLCH), to deliver our ISHS in Hertfordshire. In this contract, the METRO team will be fully integrated and co-located within CLCH’s services in Hertfordshire, delivering outreach activities in the local community tailored to local needs. The service aims to reach those who are most vulnerable or at risk, and involves collaboration with local outreach organisations targeting LGBTQ+ people, speakers of other languages, young people, and those living in more deprived areas.

Role

You will play an active role in our management team at METRO, supporting your colleagues to deliver across the Sexual and Reproductive Health domain. You will be required to attend regular meetings with the Head of domain and other managers. You will be responsible for ensuring that METRO services in Hertfordshire are integrated within our wider offer, and supporting staff to feel a part of the wider METRO team.

About the Role: 

This role will lead the delivery of a new STEM project for Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in Nepal and Sri Lanka. Our 18-month project aims to inspire and engage girls and young women from Asia Pacific with STEM and strengthen the STEM capacity and confidence of adult volunteer Girl Guide and Girl Scout leaders in the region. Through our unique non-formal education methodology, we will give girls and adult volunteer leaders the opportunity to: 

• Gain an understanding and knowledge of STEM. 

• Develop the mindsets and confidence to pursue STEM education and employment opportunities. 

• Explore the barriers that impede girls' and women’s STEM engagement. 

• Develop skills and confidence to pass on their learning to others and advocate for change.

Key Responsibilities: 

You will manage this 18-month project. This will involve setting up the project, working with Nepal Scouts and Sri Lanka Girl Guides Association to deliver a new non-formal education STEM programme resources to Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.

About the Role  

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Inclusion and Youth Support Assistant to join our team. You’ll be a key first point of contact for young people with epilepsy, their families and a variety of professionals – working with them to provide the training, resources, support and information needed to ensure all children and young people with epilepsy feel informed, confident and fully included in education, sport and society.

At Young Epilepsy young people are at the heart of everything we do, and the purpose of this role is to ensure that children and young people with epilepsy access and shape the support that we provide. This will include liaising with families and young people, schools and other professionals, all with a friendly, sensitive and professional manner. You will be supporting the development and delivery of our online and face-to-face workshops and will help build a network of professionals engaging with our services.

Organisation: Twinkleboost is a small registered charity dedicated to equipping families from socioeconomically deprived backgrounds and children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) with the skills they need to support their child’s communication development, so they can have better outcomes in life. We deliver free speech and language sessions for families, led by Speech and Language Therapy Assistants and overseen by a Speech and Language Therapist.

Staffing: Twinkleboost operates with a lean team consisting of only two part-time employees, including the CEO, and a small group of freelancers who support various aspects of our programmes and operations.

Location: The role is primarily remote, with occasional travel to Manchester as and when required (no more than once a month).

Mission: After nearly a decade of operation, Twinkleboost seeks a CEO capable of leading the organisation into its next phase of development.
