Role Requirements
- Working alongside the Head of Public Fundraising, you will strengthen and implement business planning, pipeline and budgeting processes as well as devise comprehensive audience-led stewardship plans, maintaining momentum and focus to achieve targets.
- Lead the implementation and delivery of the strategy for the Events and Partnerships teams and work with the Head of Public Fundraising and the teams to develop and review strategies to maximise income from events and partnerships
- Manage partnership pipeline including building opportunities with new businesses to increase the range, value and number of partnerships for The Children’s Trust
- Lead the Events team to review and overhaul our current events programme so that we are maximising net income and ROI as well as meeting the needs of our supporters and local community, and building connections and long-term relationships with our events supporters
- Work across the Retail, Fundraising and Communications directorate to maximise opportunities for contact mapping, cross-sell and support the activity of other teams within the directorate (including but not limited to stock donations, sponsorship of committee-led events, pro bono support, gifts in kind etc.)
- Be responsible for the implementation of the budgets and delivery of income and expenditure against the plans
- Bring the Events and Partnerships teams together to ensure that we are seizing opportunities to integrate the programmes, for instance through corporate sponsorships of events, employee volunteering or participation, donated goods for raffles and auctions, match funding and more
- Develop relationships with colleagues across the Public Fundraising Team, wider directorate and organisation to ensure that opportunities for engagement, integration and promotion of events and partnerships are maximised and publicised

About the Role
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. MAP is the leading UK charity delivering health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement, in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) and Lebanon.
The Deputy Director of Philanthropy will play a pivotal role in advancing MAP's mission by leading and expanding our fundraising efforts across trusts and foundations, major donors and corporate partnerships in the UK and internationally. About You

Duties and key responsibilities
Leadership, Strategy and Planning
•Build and inspire a high-performing, results-oriented team focused on delivering fundraising targets through tailored partnership plans
•Lead the development of the Philanthropy and Partnerships strategy, setting ambitious targets in line with the fundraising strategy and goals in the UK and globally.

Relationship Development and Management
•Cultivate and manage strong relationships with corporates, major donors, trust and foundation representatives to secure grants with a focus on multi-year partnerships.
•Develop and manage the portfolio of major donor prospects, creating tailored engagement plans to maximize their philanthropic potential.
•Lead stewardships events to bring the work to life and to connect supporters with MAP programme colleagues and medical volunteers.
•Collaborate with programmes and communications teams to ensure the team creates persuasive proposals, impactful reports, and engaging donor communications.
•Lead and be responsible for the due diligence procedure for new partners, as well as periodically ensuring that current partners still meet MAP’s guidelines.

•Lead, create and manage annual and three-year rolling budgets working with programmes, communications and finance.

As a Senior Fundraising Operations & Prospect Development Executive you will:
- Manage prospect research subscriptions, acting as account manager as needed and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to review these as needed, in line with agreed budget.
- Provide research to identify new high net-worth prospective donors and give insight on existing donors (individuals and organisations) who have the capacity and propensity to donate at a high level. Make evidenced recommendations on the type of approach and levels of ask to maximise income.
- Deliver a range of research including data mining and cold prospecting, qualification, in-depth profiles, network/stakeholder mapping, event guest list prospecting and briefs.
- Work with key stakeholders to identify new ways of working, enhance and improve fundraising operations processes and systems and support the management of central process resources.
- Support the management of the processes which underpin our prospect identification, qualification, and development. Working with teams to ensure the records are updated and accurate.
- Assist with the reporting on team performance based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as well as project deliverables within the fundraising operations remit.
- Support the management of the wider team’s prioritisation process and ensure information is available for periodic reviews.
- Where required support the implementation of a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
To be successful, you must have experience:
•Previous experience working within a fundraising operations role or similar field (supporter care, data, insight, or prospect research).
•An understanding of the role of fundraising operations within a charity environment.
•Previous experience in driving forward process improvements, implementing new processes or systems, and working with colleagues to embed such change.
•Understanding of what good supporter (or customer) experience and stewardship looks like and the role it plays.
•Proficiency in using relationship management databases and an understanding of data management best practice.
•Desirable previous experience in using CRMs (Customer Relationship Management) or other data analysis tools to create reports, prospect supporters and monitor KPIs.
•Developed knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, in particular SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and an understanding of how they can be used to improve processes.
•Knowledge of prospect research strategies, specialist tools and techniques and the role it plays within a fundraising context.
•Experience in identifying and qualifying potential new high-value funding prospects, including major donors, corporate partners, trusts and foundations.

About you
Have a proven track record of successful fundraising within a UK charity preferably working at national level, in one or more of these areas: individuals, corporates , legacies, community.
You have excellent communication skills and can work across a wide range of audiences in a clear and confident manner.
You are highly motivated and able to work independently to develop and implement fundraising strategies.
You are well organised and are able to plan and prioritise working to multiple deadlines as well as being able to develop effective systems to monitor progress,

Reporting to: Head of Corporate Partnerships
Location of work: Home-based with approximately one or two office days per month and travel for team days and events. The role may involve some irregular travel throughout England and Scotland. Expenses will be paid in line with our Travel and Expenses policy.
Contract type: Full-time, 35 hours per week, although part-time/flexible hours may be considered. The role may require occasional evening and weekend work.

JOB PURPOSE
As part of the Corporate Partnerships team in the Fundraising and Development directorate, Partnership Development is responsible for leading on securing new, high-value, strategic partnerships to support our vision of ensuring that no child or young person is too hungry to learn now and for good.
As the Partnership Development Lead, you will be responsible for spearheading the development and delivery of the new business strategy, as well as working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to pull together and deliver compelling proposals and pitches. The role will line manage the Senior Partnership Development Manager and Partnership Development Manager, working together to achieve the goals and priorities of the team. You will also create, embed and monitor key new business processes such as pipeline management, income forecasting and reporting, and work with the wider Fundraising team to deliver our fundraising strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead on the development and delivery of the team’s new business strategy.

Keep abreast of restricted and unrestricted funding needs, including our Gift in Kind requirements, managing the process to keep this up to date and building the team’s pipeline to meet these needs

Use Sales Force to capture and analyse key new business data and KPIs and use insight to inform new business activity.

Ensure the smooth transition of prospects to a) Partnership Managers, where appropriate working with prospective partners to agree partnership vision, objectives and KPIs in collaboration with them or b) small corporate team.

Engage relevant internal colleagues across Policy & Engagement, Finance & Performance and Service Delivery to feed into the partnership development process.
