Location –This is a remote position; however, you will need to travel to London around once a month for team meetings.

Salary – £27,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspire and Engage: Communicate our vision and work to help children with SEND and their families through compelling campaigns.
• Multichannel Campaign Delivery: Execute campaigns across various channels for fundraising, service awareness, and relationship building.
• Customer Relationship Management: Develop and manage customer journeys and relationships for different types of contacts.
• Email Marketing: Create and send newsletters and campaign content using our email marketing platform.
• Social Media Management: Plan and deliver content across all social media channels to increase engagement and reach.
• Brand Champion: Position and manage the Kids brand, ensuring consistency and recognition both externally and internally.
• Content Creation: Collaborate with internal staff to produce branded content using Canva and other design programs, and coach others in design usage.
• Website Management: Oversee the content and functionality of the Kids website to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
• Audience Growth: Expand our online audience and database through effective campaign delivery, SEO, and other strategies.
• Branded Materials: Produce branded booklets and reports, including writing and managing design (in collaboration with external designers).
• Social Media Advertising: Assist in the delivery of social media advertising campaigns.
• Campaign Analysis: Analyse and report on campaign results to measure effectiveness and inform future strategies.

You’ll be a dedicated team player with a strong work ethic and committed to providing excellent customer service. You do not need specific retail experience. But we do ask that you are business minded and have worked in a fast paced, service environment where you put the customer’s needs first. You’ll also need to showcase a great attention to detail, solid IT skills and have a creative eye for displays. You will also demonstrate an appreciation of Scope’s values and ambition of achieving Everyday Equality for disabled people.

The Research and Communications and Events Lead is a key post in the Research Management and Impact Team at Marie Curie with the purpose of disseminating the outputs, outcomes and impact of Marie Curie funded research as widely as possible to a multitude of internal and external audiences. This includes taking the operational and communication lead on organising our annual Marie Curie Research into Practice Conference which has increasing international reach. This is an essential event in the Marie Curie research calendar, online, free and open to all, with the aim of communicating new research and evidence in palliative and end of life care to practitioners, policy makers and researchers in the field.

The post holder will communicate extensively with internal teams, such as policy, communications, fundraising and caring services and build and maintain excellent relationships with external stakeholders, such as funder researchers and partner organisations, to maximise the visibility and impact of Marie Curie funded research.
This is an ideal career opportunity for an individual with proven experience in a role that involves communication of research/evidence.

Additional Criteria for Success:
- Proven experience in a role that involves communication (written and verbal) of research/evidence.
- Experience in organising conferences/events/webinars with an external audience.
- The proven ability to prioritise and co-ordinate multiple projects of a significant scope and complexity.
- An outstanding communicator with a background in translating complex research information to a lay audience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with a multitude of internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic to support Marie Curie's vision of a better end of life for everyone

Salary: c34,500 - £38,324 + £3,500 London Weighting dependent on skills, knowledge and experience.

Based: This role is London based and you will be expected to be in the London Office 2-3 times / week, with the rest of the time home-based. You will also be expected to travel to our sites across the UK occasionally.

About the role:

We looking to appoint a Family Support Worker to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our North East Care Team.

Reporting to the Family Support Manager out of our North East Care team base and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness.

Having worked in a stressful and emotional environment you have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand the processes of grief, loss and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact

What we’re looking for:

· An experienced child health, education or social care professional - applications will be particularly welcome from those who have worked in a community environment and those with a recognised qualification in education, health or social care

· A warm, inclusive approach to achieving goals quickly and correctly

· Practiced in child protection, information sharing and the rules around data protection - you lead by example, drawing on your own professional experience and working within established guidelines

We give grants to help museums, galleries, historic houses and public arts organisations to acquire objects for their collections, to share them with as many people as possible, and to support research and training for museum professionals. The role

As Head of Programme Development, you’ll take a senior role in the strategic planning and operational delivery of Art Fund’s grant-making programme, taking a lead on certain areas of the business plan to ensure they deliver against and inform the ongoing development of Art Fund’s strategic vision. You will work with the Director of Programme & Policy and Head of Programme Delivery to manage the team to ensure effective management of all grant-making and operational activities, develop and deliver new initiatives, funding opportunities, partnerships, research, and evaluation, ensuring maximum impact and maintaining and furthering Art Fund’s excellent relationships across the museums, heritage, funding and visual arts sectors.

About the role

As Assistant Shop Manager at Scope's Torquay shop, you’ll work alongside the Shop Manager, and use your creativity and flair to flourish in our retail environment. You will be able to use your creativity and flair to flourish in our retail environment. Our retail roles are full of variety, and every day is different! One day you might be generating and processing stock and designing an eye-catching window display. The next day you might be recruiting and training our wonderful volunteers. Every day there will be a different challenge that you’ll find extremely rewarding. You may also deputise and be responsible for running the shop when the shop manager is absent. A great attitude and willingness to learn are just as important as relevant experience.

About you

You’ll be a dedicated team player with a strong work ethic and committed to providing excellent customer service. You do not need specific retail experience. Role Requirements

STL1 – Provide support for Learning Activities set by Classteacher & Senior Specialist Teaching Assistant

• To support learning activities for individual, groups or whole classes of pupils, leading activities under the direction of the teacher or Senior Teaching Assistant supporting the teacher in their delivery of lessons.
• To demonstrate our School Ethos and Pupil Charter throughout the School day.
• Holistically integrate education, health and care needs.
• Evaluate and record procedures for learning activities.

Online Searches

In accordance with statutory safeguarding and child protection guidance, online searches will be conducted for shortlisted candidates before interview. The online searches will be conducted by a person who is independent of the interview and selection process and will focus on relevant information returned via searches of the candidate’s name (and variations thereof). Anticipated timeframe: Short term consultancy, up to 45 person days to be worked between 1 August to 15 September 2024 Location:Ghana

The 'Strengthening Civil Society Representation of Women with Disabilities in Ghana' programme commenced in May 2024, and is a 2-year project funded by the European Union. The project aims to strengthen the capacity for Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), and in particular, organisations of women with disabilities in the areas of management, communication, fundraising, coordination, advocacy, gender, climate change, networking and financial accountability.

Sightsavers will build the capacity of two OPDs Women with Disability Development and Advocacy Organisation (WODAO), and the ABAK Foundation. WODAO and the ABAK Foundation will then cascade capacity building downstream to members and partners to strengthen their ability to claim their rights and hold duty bearers to account.

Sightsavers will be commissioning a consultant to conduct a GESI analysis in the 33 project districts in the Bono, Bono East, Ashanti, Oti and Volta regions.

Methodology

Please provide details of proposed methodologies and timelines. The assessment will need to cover, but not be limited to:

• Analysis of secondary sources of data on the inclusion of women and girls and persons with disabilities in development interventions in the districts.
• Gathering and analysing primary source of data to map trends that highlight risk factors that impede the participation of women with disabilities. The analysis should seek to understand the root causes of gender inequalities in the project districts.
• Make informed conclusions about potential opportunities including stakeholders who the CSO can collaborate with in the districts.

Output and Deliverables

The consultant is expected to produce the following.

• Proposal outlining how the consultancy will be conducted, including data collection tools and the timelines for delivering the consultancy.
• Report of desk review and other methodologies used.
• Final report outlining gendered and disability barriers and vulnerabilities that need to be addressed and their root causes.

Timeline

The consultancy is expected to take up to 45 working days from 1 August to 15 September 2024.

Sightsavers will welcome expressions of interest from qualified independent evaluators or consultancy companies. An individual or team with members located in Ghana would be preferred.

Consultant's expertise

• Demonstrable previous experience in gender, disability inclusion, and women's rights.
• Proven record of conducting GESI analysis or similar assessments and able to provide examples of reports.
• Previous execution of several consultancies for international organisations or national development organisations required
• Robust skills related to monitoring, evaluation, and research.

Payment Terms

To be discussed at interview stage between Sightsavers and the Consultant/Consultancy.

Consultants with a proven track record in the above will be procured to undertake the project through an expression of interest process. Payment terms will be agreed between the Consultant and Sightsavers.

This is a new role that will be responsible for overseeing the quality, development and evaluation of the Young Citizens’ education offer for children and young people – with a specific focus on resources and training. 

The Education and Impact Manager will project manage our work across subject areas (social, democratic and legal education) and across educational phases (mainly primary and secondary). In addition, this role will lead our evaluation processes so we can evidence the impact and outcomes of our work against our theory of change.

Role snapshot:

• Review and develop our educational resources and training offer
• Project manage the delivery of new and updated materials/training and liaise with our internal team as well as external partners in their effective delivery and dissemination
• Oversee their implementation in different settings, writing some personally and using freelance contributors and/or corporate volunteers
• Create and implement an impact measurement framework that feeds into our theory of change and that meets that reporting requirements of our funders and partners
• Develop consistent mechanisms to generate effective and resource-conscious evaluation and feedback to inform decision-making and development
• Manage the staff or freelance contributors responsible for developing our learning resources – ensuring that goals and targets are set in line with organisational plans
• Actively manage corporate partners to provide key updates around any contracted development

Who are we looking for?

We believe the ideal candidate is passionate about writing and developing quality and engaging educational resources for school aged children.

You will have up-to-date knowledge of the UK educational system and detailed knowledge of the PSHE and/or citizenship curriculums for schools.

You will have strong interpersonal skills and project management skills with demonstratable experience working collaboratively and proactively with key stakeholders to deliver high standards of work.
