Your role

As a Community Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Being connected to the RNLI community in your area and the primary point of contact for all things engagement (fundraising, retail and visitor experience)
• Empowering volunteer engagement crew to do what they do best, engaging the public, sharing our RNLI vision and growing support for our cause
• Supporting volunteer engagement crew to achieve key income, footfall and contact goals and seeking ways to engage new audiences
• Being part of an amazing regional team, working collaboratively to shape the future of RNLI engagement and provide an outstanding level of care to staff, volunteers and supporters

• Please note this role requires a significant level of travel within the designated region but will also require occasional travel to other RNLI assets including our support centre in Poole.

We are a well-established charity that has recently launched a new strategy to accelerate the progress and funding of neurological research.  This is a new role.  As a small and ambitious charity, we are seeking someone who is keen to join a growing team and develop their skills and career within a vibrant, positive organisation.

The role

Reporting to the Events and Community Fundraising Manager, you will play a crucial role as part of the Fundraising Team by providing the highest levels of fundraising and event administration support to ensure the provision of seamless, excellent supporter care and assistance to our supporters.

Whilst this role is primarily providing administrative support for our fundraising and event activities, there will be opportunities to be involved with all other aspects of the charity.

The successful candidate will need to be a good team player, able to work independently, flexible, hardworking and prepared to play an enthusiastic role in helping to deliver excellent supporter care and increased fundraising income. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

In this position, you will:

· Be the primary contact point with our supporters and fundraisers to provide excellent customer care

· Answer general public and supporter enquiries that come in by telephone, email and mail in a way that makes them feel important and valued regardless of the nature of their enquiry

· Ensure all fundraising income (cash, cheques online platform donations) is processed and recorded correctly onto the Donorfy database, and thanked in a timely manner

· Record as necessary enquiries, correspondence and responses on Donorfy

· Be the primary point of contact for our challenge events and community fundraisers. Build excellent relationships with them and provide materials and support, liaising before, during and following their activity/event as needed

· To work with the team to provide support for key fundraising activities such as the London Marathon and other challenge events.  This will include assisting with event administration, answering telephone calls, responding to emails, thanking participants, processing donations, sending materials to participants and updating records on Donorfy

· Monitor our general email inboxes and respond to all enquiries in a timely manner

· Monitor Social Media and assist with providing content and responding to any enquires that come through these mediums

· Be responsible for ensuring stock control is monitored, both at the office and at our fulfilment house

· Appeal support: this may include contributing to content and will include monitoring schedules and deadlines

· Liaise with our fulfilment house and/or other suppliers, where necessary

· Liaise with finance as required

· Supporter care – must be able to provide our supporters and the general public with excellent customer service both written and over the phone

Job Overview

The Corporate and Community Fundraiser will play a pivotal role in raising vital funds to sustain and grow our services across Berkshire. Corporate Partnerships:

· Provide training to colleagues on how to use Donorfy effectively, if necessary.

Budget and Reporting:

Essential:

· Eligible to live and work in the UK

· Proven experience in planning and managing events, from small community fundraisers to large-scale corporate events.

· Strong knowledge of digital marketing and online fundraising strategies via platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and websites.

· Experience using Donorfy or similar fundraising CRM software to track donations and manage donor relations.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Parkinson's UK has recently made a huge investment to help us deliver our strategy for our community. We have an exciting opportunity to join our Income Generation and Engagement Team as an Assistant Community Fundraiser!

As an Assistant Community Fundraiser, you will be an integral part of supporting the Community Fundraising team to reach their annual income target. You will oversee the running of the Kinross fundraising office, including stock management and managing a small team of volunteers. You will help support the team by co-ordinating supporter and volunteer communications, and attend fundraising events when required.

Main Responsibilities

As one of our regionally dispersed Community Fundraiser's, you'll be joining a busy team, where you will manage relationships with our key supporters with the primary purpose of generating income across a geographical area, through community fundraising activities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering income targets across the region by building strong relationships with individuals, local companies, community groups and volunteers, in line with our community fundraising strategy. You will also be responsible for the management and support of local third-party events in your region and in providing excellent stewardship to those supporters.

This role is home-based with regular travel across the region. There will also be regular travel to Diabetes UK offices for meetings.

Ideal Candidate

You'll be able to demonstrate a track record of meeting income targets through relationship fundraising. You'll be experienced in building and maintaining relationships with supporters and colleagues. A proactive person, you'll be self-motivated and able to work independently with a solution focussed approach. As an experienced fundraiser, you'll be confident working towards income and expenditure targets and reporting on financial progress. It is desirable that you have managed and secured corporate partnerships and have event management knowledge, though training will be provided.

You will have a passion for building excellent relationships with your supporters to increase loyalty and life-long relationships with the charity.

• Lead in developing all streams of local fundraising in allocated areas, including community support, local corporate activity and collaborating with central teams.

• Coordinate and work with KCLSU teams to support representatives and members in delivering their campaigns and communicate the impact of campaigning at KCLSU, building interest and recruiting new activists as a result.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Community & Events Fundraiser to join our team.
Reporting to the Community Fundraising and Events Manager, you will work as part of a team to generate vital income through professional community stewardship and organising fundraising events and activity in a role where no two days are the same!
