Jangala is a technology charity dedicated to providing essential internet access globally, with the goal of connecting 4 million people to the internet by 2030. Founded in 2015 as a volunteer initiative providing Wi-Fi to 5,000 people in the Calais Jungle refugee camp, Jangala offers a unique approach through its novel connectivity solutions, and takes great pride in its strong partnerships with international aid actors, grassroots organisations and public bodies.

As Jangala enters a critical phase of growth, we are scaling up our operations to meet our ambitious target of connecting four million people by 2030. The Head of Fundraising will play a crucial role in driving this expansion by developing and implementing strategic fundraising initiatives, expanding our network of supporters, and ensuring the sustainability of our programs. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of a pioneering organisation at the forefront of humanitarian technology.

Key responsibilities will include:

Important details
Jangala’s office is based in London and operates a remote-first working policy. Travel to our London office will be required for mind-mapping and collaborative work at least once a week.

The Contactless giving Fundraising Team sits within the wider F2F Fundraising and Individual Giving Team
This important role entails working with the Trusts regional teams as a Team Leader within the wider Face to Face (F2F) fundraising team In this particular instance this role will have a focus on championing our Contactless Giving Workstreams across the regions, with the support of their face to face fundraising colleagues.
They are responsible for delivery of our contactless giving programme and ensuring that they are able to setup a maintain a varied programme of workstreams by sourcing and providing key technology and tools to all of the Trusts regions. You will help drive delivery of the agreed Team and individual targets and KPI’s for the region(s) with a particular focus on Contactless Giving.
This role will work across the regions as a dedicated national support and will be required at times to provide hands on coaching, training and support regionally to drive ongoing engagement and enthusiasm for the programme. They will also support the Regional Face to Face Fundraising Managers to identify and business case potential future opportunities when required.
You will play a significant role in supporting the day to day management of our contactless giving income stream by supporting our F2F Fundraisers, regional colleagues and volunteers, ensuring our Values & Behaviours and performance excellence standards are met on a consistent basis.
Location & coverage
You will be working remotely and should expect to spend more than 50% of your week out on location meeting with your fundraising team across the region.
There is an expectation of working some weekend days at our key regional events, spread over the year and being a part of the weekend Contactless Giving management rota, which denotes working at least one weekend per month.
As a remote worker you will be assigned one of our main hub spaces as as your formal base
Relevant hubs include: Leeds, Ellesmere Port, Burnley.
Working Hours: 37 hours Monday to Friday with occasional weekend & bank holiday working.
The regularity & flexibility of travel will be discussed further at interview stage.
Knowledge, Skills/Qualifications & Experience
Key Accountabilities:
- Work with the Contactless Giving Fundraising Manager to devise robust strategies to achieve weekly & monthly volume and quality based fundraising targets, particular focus on Contactless Giving within the regions, Museums and attractions and our F2F Fundraising teams.
- Develop contactless fundraising techniques with the Contactless Giving Fundraising Manager that improve income generation for the Trust.
- Support the Face to Face fundraising management team with reviews and business casing of future fundraising opportunities for the face to face & regional fundraising programme.
- Ensure management of key contactless giving channels including devices, signage, branded clothing and collateral all contain contactless donation touchpoints across the network.
- Adhere to the IOF and Fundraising Regulator Code of conduct.
- Handle all sensitive and data protected information obtained by donors as confidential and in a safe and secure manner in line with the Trust’s GDPR and Security Procedures.
- Ensure regular Compliance checks and training sessions are delivered to the F2F team and Regional colleagues, particualrly around Contactless Giving.
- Clear, regular and timely communication with the Team and all members of the senior management team.
- Nurture and maintain positive relationships with regional colleagues to support delivery of F2F fundraising priorities, engagement and training; particularly contactless giving programme.
- Coach and mentor team members in the region and support the maintenance of performance targets and improvements where needed.
- Ensure that all data input and insight reporting is maintained for the benefit of the team including key systems such as CRM, Evergiving and other fundraising platforms and technologies.
- Support operational processes for managing equipment, managing suppliers, regulatory compliance and complaints management.

big tech. In addition, our UK-focused Bureau Local team uses an innovative community-led

Our fundraising
At the Bureau, our funders and supporters are vital. We are almost entirely funded through grants
and donations so – put simply – without their support, we wouldn’t be here.
Although our supporters may come from different backgrounds or have varied priorities, they all
share a common goal: tackling the issues across our society that are eroding democracy and
driving inequality. They support our work to hold those in power accountable, uncover new
evidence to support positive change, and empower citizens.
The Bureau has experienced significant growth over the past three years, increasing our annual
income to £2.8m and expanding to a team of more than 40 people. While the majority of our
income comes from grants, there is strong potential for further fundraising growth, and we are
actively working to diversify our funding streams beyond trusts and foundations.

Role and Responsibilities:
Support from trusts and foundations is our main source of philanthropic income so we are looking
for somebody with experience in grants fundraising who can quickly apply their skills and
expertise. You’ll work closely with our Development Director to report to and liaise with current
funders, manage a pipeline of prospects and submit successful applications to secure new grants.
In addition, you will support in building a major donor programme to diversify and strengthen our
funding base. You will collaborate with colleagues at all levels across the organisation, from impact
producers to reporters to finance and operations, in a supportive and welcoming culture that
values teamwork and shared success.
As an excellent communicator, you will be able to take complex issues and translate them into
clear, compelling narratives that resonate with funders and stakeholders. You will also be
passionate about building strong relationships with our funders and supporters.
While experience in high-net-worth fundraising would be a valuable bonus, it is not essential. You
don’t need to have raised funds for non-profit media before, but you do need to be excited by our
work and able to express The Bureau’s key areas of work and impact in an accessible, accurate and
compelling way. We’re a small team, so you’ll need the willingness to pitch in on fundraising tasks
– big or small – to ensure The Bureau is in the best possible position to pursue its mission.
Skills and Experience:
- Excellent fundraiser with a demonstrable track record of 3+ years’ experience successfully raising significant funds for charities or non-profits and managing relationships with funders (foundations - essential, high net worth individuals - desirable);
- Strong background in managing grants admin, including due diligence and processing agreements;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to speak and write English fluently;
- Great analytical skills, with experience in researching and identifying new funding sources for various projects;
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities;
- Experience of working with databases and funding pipelines;
- Exceptional time management skills, a professional attitude, and meticulous attention to detail;
- Resourceful and able to think creatively with strong problem-solving skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to collaborate at all levels across the organisation.
- Experience in securing funds for journalism, social justice, civil society, human rights, or related causes is desirable but not essential;
- We envisage this as a full-time, primarily hybrid working role, working from our London office two/three times a week.

We're looking for a creative, innovative and enthusiastic individual who can help us to shape and grow Lancashire Mind’s fundraising activities.
Lancashire Mind is a local charity working to prevent poor mental health. We support people experiencing common mental health conditions, such as anxiety and depression. We work with children and adults, offering universal services to help people improve their mental wellbeing, along with targeted services for people and communities at increased risk of experiencing poor mental health or facing mental health inequalities. To continue to deliver and grow our services, we need to raise funds and generate income through a variety of sources. The Fundraising Lead has oversight of our community, events and corporate fundraising, leading a small team of two Fundraisers to achieve annual objectives and develop and test new activities.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to bring their own ideas and creativity to work with the Head of Development and Fundraisers to grow the level of funds we raise through the generous support of local people and companies. About StreetVet
StreetVet is a fast-growing national charity, committed to providing free vet care to the pets of people experiencing homelessness and to keeping pets and owners together to maintain their unbreakable bond. StreetVet relies on its team of over 400 vet and nurse volunteers in 23 locations around the UK to provide free veterinary treatment, funded by grants, corporate and private donors and partners. Since inception in 2016 the charity has treated nearly 3,000 pets and has won numerous awards including the Vet Trust Award for the Most Trusted Veterinary Charity, Purina Better with Pets Prize and Homeless Link Excellence Award for Excellent Support. We have also been successful in our grant applications for Trusts & Foundations such as The Jean Sainsbury Trust, France-Hayhurst Foundation, Douglas & Joanne Chapman Animal Trust and Marjorie Coote Animal Charity Trust. Main Purpose of the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be a core member of the Central Team, working closely with the Marketing Team to develop and deliver the income stream for the charity with fundraising strategies that support StreetVet’s mission. Responsibilities:
Fundraising Management and Development
• Work with the Head of Marketing to develop and implement a balanced and realistic fundraising strategy, which builds on StreetVet’s strengths and maximises income for the charity.
• Deliver an integrated fundraising programme, which includes corporate partnerships, individual giving, major donors, trusts and foundations, legacies, community and events.

• Manage all aspects of finance and reporting relating to fundraising, including annual budgets, monthly reporting and re-forecasting. Provide monthly reports and updates on all fundraising activities and income streams
• Work with the Head of Marketing, internal colleagues and external stakeholders to create impactful storytelling and supporter engagement opportunities to maximise revenue streams.

This is a great role for someone looking to join the charity sector. You will work as part of our Supporter Engagement team to provide excellent customer care, and engage, involve and inspire all supporters of Crohn’s & Colitis UK through building excellent relationships via a variety of communication channels.
Salary: £20,570 - £24,000 (FTE) per annum, depending on experience
Hours: 35 hrs FTE
Place of work: Hybrid/Flexible/Hatfield (minimum of 2 days per week in the office)

Role Overview
You will be integral to achieving our strategic priorities of generating income through repeat support, and providing exceptional supporter journeys for our community, ensuring they feel valued and engaged.
Providing excellent customer care, engaging and involving and inspiring all supporters of Crohn’s and Colitis UK through building excellent relationships via a variety of communication channels. To be integral to achieving strategic Income Generation priorities, including raising funds from supporters through exceptional standards of supporter stewardship, and to deliver administrative support for the Income Generation Team.
About You
You will have experience of working in a similar role, providing a high standard of customer care in a fast-paced environment, handling supporter queries and providing information in a concise and comprehensive manner. You'll need strong written and verbal communication skills to write engaging and inspiring content and messaging, you'll also be skilled at listening and responding to queries appropriately and be comfortable and effective at managing challenging situations.
You will have the ability to manage a busy workload and deadlines whilst taking ownership of problems to find a solution where possible, escalating to a manager where required.
Experience of Microsoft office is essential, as well as excellent administration skills and high levels of accuracy and attention to detail. If you like the sound of our role then this could be an opportunity to join a leading charity as we enter the next stage of growth and expansion.

Our Location
We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role, there is plenty of scope for working from home although you will need to be in the office for two days a week minimum. There will also be other times when you’ll need to be in the office for fulfilment tasks or to attend meetings such as our ‘All Staff Together’ days four times a year and you will also be required to attend fundraising events.

Working across a large and varied portfolio, you’ll take the lead in developing and leading our policy positions, campaigns and influencing programmes.
We have strong relationships across the charity, clinical, and governmental sectors. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate closely with external partners as a thought leader on major issues like access to treatments and neurology services, mental health, community rehabilitation, and support for carers.
You’ll have a central leadership role across the team in ensuring that our policy work is built around strong evidence, informed by and developed with people living with MS, and drives impactful change.
