We are excited to be working with Wellbeing of Women to recruit for a newly created role. As Philanthropy Executive you will be responsible for growing income from events, mid level donors, major donors and trusts and foundations.

The charity are in the first year of implementing a new fundraising strategy and you will be instrumental in developing the mid value programme, this is a real opportunity for an ambitious and driven fundraiser to really shape and develop this area for the charity.

This is a hybrid role with two days a week in the London office

The Charity

The Role
Work with the Community and Digital Fundraising Manager to identify mid level and major donors from appeals, challenge events and other ways of giving
Work with the Community and Digital Fundraising Manager to maximise giving by mid level donors to appeals.
Prospect research across mid level, major donors and Trusts and Foundations.
Support Fundraising events through prospect research, on the day relationship building and assisting with follow up post event.

The Candidate
Previous experience in a philanthropy or fundraising role.
Experience of supporting with major donor fundraising events.
Experience of working with a CRM database.
Excellent relationship building skills

• Ensure the farm's financial systems comply with statutory requirements and best practices.

Governance and Compliance:

• Assist the CEO and Trustees in preparing for Finance Committee meetings, reports, and minutes.
• Maintain and update the organisation's risk register.
• Ensure insurance cover is adequate and renewed in a timely manner.

Requirements:

• Proven professional experience managing finances in a small charity.
• Appropriate accounting qualifications (AAT/CIMA/ACA/ACCA).
• Experience with financial packages, with knowledge of QuickBooks being desirable.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with VAT returns.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to anticipate and address financial needs.
• High levels of integrity and confidentiality in managing sensitive information.

About the role

The Head of Fundraising will be responsible for executing Pro Bono Economics’ (PBE) fundraising strategy under the Director of Development’s guidance. This role focuses on increasing and diversifying income through building relationships with trusts, foundations, corporates, and high-net-worth individuals, while also securing funding for specific research projects in collaboration with the research team. The role includes managing donor engagement, overseeing grant applications, leading a small team, and ensuring compliance with fundraising regulations, all while maintaining operational oversight of the fundraising department.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Fundraising strategy implementation: Deliver PBE’s multi-year fundraising strategy to expand and diversify income from major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate partners and research institutions

About you

Report directly to the Director of Development, the Head of Fundraising will have the following experience and skills.

Experience

• You have senior fundraising experience across a broad mix of income streams, a talent for building partnerships, bid writing and a strategic mindset.
• Experience working with research-driven organisations is a plus, as is familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce.
• You are happy to roll up your sleeves and spend as much time focused on immediate management and income priorities as you are on strategy and ideation.
• Will be suited to a senior fundraiser looking for their first Heads of role or someone who has already taken that step.

The Policy and Campaigns Manager is responsible for leading on CLAPA’s campaigning and policy work across the UK.  This is a new direction for CLAPA and a key part of the role will be to develop a clear strategy and action plan to ensure a focused and targeted approach to this area of work.

The Yehudi Menuhin School based in Stoke D’Abernon, Cobham is seeking an experienced Trusts and Foundations Manager to have a significant impact on the lives of our current and future pupils.  The Yehudi Menuhin School operates a needs-blind admissions process, and we remain determined that no pupil should ever turn down a place at YMS due to a lack of funding.  More than 90% of pupils need help to take up their place, and grants from trusts and foundations are a vital source of income for our Bursary Fund, as well as a range of other projects and activities that are of direct benefit to our pupils.

You will join the Development team at an exciting time for the School.  Under new leadership and with pupil numbers at an all-time high, fundraising continues to play a crucial role in securing the future of musical education and helping to develop the next generation of classical musicians.  Our strategy is focused on reaching out to new donors, as well as continuing to engage our loyal body of current supporters, including several engaged grant-making trusts and foundations.

You will build on an existing portfolio of organisations that donate between four and six-figures.  Your ability to develop significant, multi-year relationships with new trusts and foundations will be critical to your success.  The School has also previously secured a grant from the DCMS Culture Recovery Fund, managed by the Arts Council, opening the door to possible future funding from statutory sources, which would also fall under your responsibility.  This is a key role in making The Yehudi Menuhin School’s strategic priorities a reality on the ground.  You will need to be proactive, enterprising and systematic in approaching funders, and be able to engage and manage internal stakeholders.

This is a permanent position, working 9.00am until 5.30pm 4 or 5 days per week.  Some flexibility will be required to attend evening and weekend concerts and events at YMS and in London.

Our Brand Strategic Lead is a crucial role in helping us evolve our brand and deliver it across everything we do. It will underpin the new future and story of the charity, and how we communicate it to everyone in the MS community and beyond.

You’ll oversee our brand team activity as well as one line report, be accountable for the brand budget and be responsible for helping us ensure every story we tell, internally or externally speaks to our audiences in the way that matters to them.

The Daniel Spargo-Mabbs Foundation is a drug and alcohol education charity, founded by Fiona and Tim Spargo-Mabbs in 2014 in response to the death of their 16-year-old son Dan having taken ecstasy. The charity aims to support young people to make safe choices and reduce harm, through increasing their understanding of the effects and risks of drugs and alcohol, and improving their life skills & resilience.
