The need for good mental health support is growing, as are our funding needs and ambitions. We provide a range of support including 1-to-1 counselling, a wide variety of wellbeing activities which increase confidence and reduce social isolation, as well as work-related training courses and employment guidance.

We’re looking for an individual with a strong background in fundraising, in particular corporate fundraising, as well as line management experience. Building existing and new supporter relationships is of importance, as is public speaking, and an understanding of mental health would be of value. Finally, supporting and inspiring other public fundraising and marketing roles in the team is a key aspect of the role.

Position: Partnerships and Public Fundraising Manager

Responsible to: Chief Executive

Location: Guildford, Surrey with hybrid working offered; we will accommodate flexible working patterns wherever possible

Hours: 36 hours per week

Salary: £36,000 – £38,000pa

Corporate Fundraising (70%):

1. Manage current corporate partnerships and fundraising, proactively building on these relationships to maximise engagement with employees at all levels.
2. Identify & approach corporates, securing financial contributions & support in kind.
3. Undertake & commit to regular networking to forge positive relationships with existing & potential supporters.
4. Manage & grow the Mental Health Leaders Network & other workplace mental health support, including Mental Health First Aid training.
5. Undertake presentations to potential supporters at any level, speaking publicly about Oakleaf to increase awareness and fundraising.

Management: Public Fundraising & Marketing (30%)

1. Oversee & manage the two other public fundraising functions (individuals & community/events), supporting, developing & inspiring staff to achieve & exceed annual fundraising targets.
2. Manage the Digital Marketing Manager role & supervise implementation of an effective marketing & social media plan.
3. Attend community events to speak on behalf of Oakleaf if necessary, when the Community & Events Fundraising Manager is unavailable.

Essential Criteria (a full list of essential and desirable criteria is listed in the Candidate Brief):

• At least three years of experience in a charity/third sector fundraising position
• Proven track record in developing strong relationships with corporates and securing financial support
• Experience in line management
• Strong interpersonal and networking abilities; adept at building rapport quickly with people from a wide range of backgrounds

• Ability to confidently undertake public speaking 
• An understanding of and empathy with the aims of Oakleaf & needs of its client group

Key relationships

Externally, the Head of Region is CCT’s regional representative, brokering joint working and engagement with statutory and Church of England stakeholders, funders, politicians at all levels, volunteers, communities and donors.

ARC Blackburn (ARC), an established local charity, has recently been commissioned by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council to deliver an asylum seeker integration programme for newly arrived asylum seekers in the borough. The purpose of the role is to work with new and existing partner organisations as well as existing staff, volunteers, and service users to deliver the programme.

This role requires an experienced individual who will encourage clients’ engagement in the community by welcoming, supporting, signposting, running social activities, connecting communities and supporting organisations, organising events and trips, and engaging with clients who require additional social engagement support. The Partnerships and Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for measuring the impact and outcomes of all small activities and events using surveys, questionnaires and focus groups.

The other strand to the coordinator role will be to support local asylum seeker and refugee support hubs in the delivery of both formal and informal learning of English and Digital skills.  Enabling access to these learning opportunities is vital to our clients’ resettlement and integration in the UK and local environment.

To be successful in the role, you will have relevant experience in community engagement and/or building partnerships in the charity sector. You will have proven experience in delivering activities and events that focus on community connection and co-creation, thus improving community integration and reducing social isolation.  You will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to motivate and inspire diverse groups of people. You must also have excellent IT skills, with the ability to report on quantitative and qualitative data. Experience of using a case management system is preferred.

Fluency in an additional language would be beneficial. The post will be based in Blackburn, Lancashire, but with frequent visits to other locations in Blackburn and Darwen.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our new service supporting Unpaid Carers across Lewisham to improve their health and wellbeing, and access support that meets their needs.

The team works with unpaid Adult Carers, Young Adult Carers and Young Carers, completing statutory and holistic assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need. You will carry out home visits and community meetings, co-produce support plans, and develop effective relationships with Unpaid Carers, families, and professionals.  

You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Unpaid Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will also support the development of escalation plans so that Unpaid Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

Applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Unpaid Carers and/or vulnerable adults or children in a social care, health, education or voluntary and community sector. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Unpaid Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services. Experience of working in mental health or dementia services would be an advantage.

Alongside THMHA members, Look Ahead, and East London Foundation Trust, we are implementing a new community-based, 24/7 mental health care system that prioritises the tailored needs of individuals facing mental health challenges. The goal is to provide support in a non-hospital setting, preventing the need for more intensive interventions in the future.

Coproduction and Community Engagement (CCE) Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring the services at the Barnsley Street Project are designed and delivered in true partnership with the local community. The Programme Manager role

The Detention Outreach Manager is responsible for the delivery, development and quality of detention outreach services provided by JRS UK in line with our vision, mission, and values. Team Leadership: Lead and develop a small team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring fundraising excellence.

Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with senior stakeholders, including Trustees, the CEO, and global teams, to leverage influence and deepen donor engagement.

Innovation & Future-Proofing: Identify and implement innovative fundraising approaches, including digital philanthropy, giving circles, and social investment models.

Data & Insights: Use CRM and donor analytics to inform strategy, measure impact, and drive data-led decision-making.

Portfolio Development: Expand and diversify our philanthropic network, including engaging global high-net-worth individuals, diaspora philanthropy, and Donor Advised Funds (DAFs).

Major Gift Fundraising: Build and steward a pipeline of major donors, personally cultivating and soliciting six and seven-figure gifts to drive sustainable long-term support.

Engagement & Stewardship: Develop bespoke donor experiences, including high-profile events, personalised communications, and opportunities to see Practical Action’s work firsthand.

Global relationships: Working with country and regional offices, the International Directorate, the Impact & Influence Directorate and Finance, developing processes and proactively working to unblock issues crucial to successful philanthropic growth.

Skills Development: Champion and facilitates the development of skills and capacity among fundraising staff globally in support of the philanthropy strategy.

• We’re looking for an experienced philanthropy professional with a passion for international development and a strong track record of securing major gifts. You will bring:
• Proven expertise in major donor fundraising, with a track record of securing six and seven-figure gifts from high-net-worth individuals and foundations.
• Strategic vision and leadership, with the ability to develop and implement successful multi-year philanthropy strategies.
• Exceptional relationship-building skills, able to engage and inspire senior donors, Trustees, and high-profile stakeholders.
• Creative and entrepreneurial mindset, with experience exploring innovative fundraising models such as impact philanthropy, digital philanthropy, and DAFs.
• Outstanding communication and influencing skills, with the ability to craft compelling cases for support.
• Experience in leading and developing high-performing teams, fostering a culture of ambition, innovation, and collaboration.
• Knowledge of international development and the motivations of philanthropic donors in this space.
• A proactive, results-driven approach, with strong financial acumen and the ability to manage budgets, pipelines, and income targets.
• Cultural Sensitivity with experience of remote working, working with people from diverse backgrounds and working with multiple teams.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English required. Competence or fluency in Spanish, French and/or Arabic, desirable.
