We are looking for a new member to join the Enterprise Directorate in this fixed term role for up to 12 months.
The role
We are recruiting for a Programme Manager to support with the management and coordination of the Enterprise Hub’s investment activities. You’ll be joining the Enterprise Hub team at an exciting time as we expand our active engagement with investors, via two brand new workstreams: our inaugural Investor Fellowships and our Investor Club. This role will be focussed predominantly on the Investor Club and the management and expansion of our investor community, and will provide some logistics and coordination support for the Investor Fellowships.
As Programme Manager (Investment), you will work closely with Head of Enterprise Hub to support the delivery of the new Investor Club programme, lead on our monthly investor newsletter, and curate community engagement activities aimed at fostering connections within the investor network, and between investors and entrepreneurs. As well as reporting directly into the Head of Enterprise Hub, it is expected that the role-holder will also support the Senior Programme Manager (Investment). This role will involve collaborating with colleagues across the Enterprise Directorate.

Location
Our light, spacious head office is based in a fantastic location in central London with views over St James’s Park and close to the West End. We operate hybrid, flexible working practices with a baseline for office-based working of a mandatory weekly team day plus further days each week as required for the role and the Academy.

The Southwark Women’s Forum is a monthly peer support group facilitated by and for women who have experienced, or are experiencing, challenges with their mental health. Due to increased service demand, we are looking for an experienced female group facilitator, with lived experience of mental ill health, to lead and deliver an additional monthly forum.
Supported by a voluntary co-facilitator, you will establish and deliver a new peer support group, creating a safe and welcoming space for women who may be isolated or lacking in confidence because of their mental health. You will lead in the design and delivery of topic-led sessions, supporting their recovery by encouraging shared learning and social networks. As the group develops, you may also be required to organise community trips and visits for the members.
You will support the volunteer co-facilitator to ensure that the service is running efficiently, including the regular distribution and collection of questionnaires and feedback required for reporting purposes and supporting members with any signposting requirements.
Outside the forum you will be responsible for managing the service email inbox and database including answering queries, processing referrals, carrying out eligibility screening, monitoring the waiting list and inputting and keeping all database member and service records up to date.

This is a very exciting time to join our expanding Visiting Caseworker Service. We are seeking two new colleagues, who will join our current team of two caseworkers covering the UK and Ireland. These newly created positions will be regionally based, one covering South West England & South Wales, and the other North West England & North Wales (with other travel across the UK on occasion).
Visiting Caseworkers each deal with an approximate caseload of 70-100 cases / visits per year. Central to the role will be supporting and advocating on behalf of vulnerable applicants, or those who are living in particularly complex or challenging situations. The job will be wide-ranging and include elements of advocacy, support, income maximisation, mediation, partnership working and processing our own grants where appropriate, with the overall aim to reach long-term sustainable solutions for Anglican clergy households.
Working closely with the Visiting Caseworker Manager and the wider Charitable Services team, key responsibilities will include:
Receive referrals from applicants via the Grants & Services team, for potential casework and home visits
- Assess and prioritise urgent cases on a weekly basis.
Conduct home visit (or online meeting)
- Provide thorough assessment of current situation, taking into consideration time available and wellbeing of the applicant.
- Conduct general income maximisation check (welfare benefits, grants check etc), where necessary.
- Identify, discuss and escalate (to Designated Safeguarding Officer) any safeguarding concerns within the household.
- Gather information in order to create individualised action plans with the primary contact and other household members.
• Assess and prioritise urgent actions during the meeting.
Develop an action plan
- Complete a written summary of the meeting and draft an action plan for possible areas of help and support with allocated responsibilities and agreed timelines.
- Prioritise urgent actions and agree responsibility for each action with applicant.
- Liaise with other agencies (e.g., DWP, Social Services, NHS, other charities, voluntary organisations, occupational benevolent funds, Dioceses, CofE Pensions Board etc.) where necessary.
- Refer to our own partnership support services if appropriate for help and support.
- Research and identify any local organisations for longer-term support.
- Consider and recommend most appropriate grant support through our own internal grants programme.
- Advocate on behalf of the applicant (e.g., complete internal and external applications, liaise with other external agencies, members of the Church where necessary).
- Act as third party for complaints, mediation or appeal hearings with applicants, either in person, online, or helping prepare a written submission.
- Keep accurate and objective notes and communications within our CRM system and ensure this is kept up to date on a daily basis.
Follow-up
- Manage and update action plans, while keeping in contact with applicant on a regular basis.
- Encourage and empower applicants to complete their actions and know when to step in, as and when necessary.
- Only in exceptional circumstances, consider a further home visit, if deemed appropriate
Other reasonable duties and projects commensurate with the post
- Support and work closely with other VC colleagues sharing areas of expertise.
- In particularly busy times, act as an overflow for grant applications, to support colleagues in the Charitable Services Team.

To be considered for this position with great scope for growth and development potential, applicants should demonstrate:
- Significant experience of working within a charity / not-for-profit or grant making trust, supporting individuals and families with complex health and care needs, elderly, or vulnerable applicants, face-to-face, online and over the phone.
- Significant knowledge and experience in at least two of the following areas:
- Welfare benefits and submitting appeals or complaints.
- Mental health support
- SEN education advice including SEN support, EHCPs and SENDIST tribunals.
- Local authority and other statutory support such as Social Service Assessments and services, complaints, DFG entitlements.
- NHS services, continuing health care either for children or adults.
- Experience of working alongside and liaising with external agencies and organisations
- Excellent problem solving, prioritisation and influencing skills with a belief of empowering individuals

- Willingness to work alone, with the support of line manager, and colleagues in the Charitable Services team.

About the role
You will be expected to lead and deliver a proportion of day opportunity activities as part of the planned programme and as an opportunity to provide practice leadership to the wider team. The Research Officer will join our Applied Research and Evaluation division to contribute to work and projects of the Child Outcomes Research Consortium (CORC). CORC brings together organisations and individuals committed to using and improving evidence to improve children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing. The post-holder will be skilled in the R programming language in order to validate, clean, analyse and visualise data for reports. They will be involved in interviewing research participants, so the ability to build and maintain relationships with project participants is key. Experience of research design, ethics approval and data collection is essential.
The successful candidate will join a friendly, cross-disciplinary team in which staff are continually developing their quantitative and qualitative research skills. They will liaise directly with practitioners and partner organisations to discuss data, analysis and findings. They will also have the opportunity to contribute to reports and academic publications. The aim of the project is to assess the individual over a 12-week period with the aim of identifying their support and housing needs. In that period, we will provide a bed for the customer to assist staff to carry out a detailed assessment to ensure that the recommendation for move on into alternative housing is captured correctly to assist move on for the individual into more suitable accommodation which is correct reflective of their needs based on our assessment/recommendation.
The service operates a model of personalised approach in order to address a wide range of presenting complex needs, which could range from mild learning difficulties, substance use (alcohol and drugs), offending, mental health, dual diagnoses, etc. We work closely with outside agencies in order to ensure that the individual is linked into getting the correct support whilst they remain at the assessment centre.
A major part of the Assessment Support Workers role is putting in the foundation with our customers around basic living skills and preparing the individual to be ready to move into alternative supported accommodation.
This role requires a valid Right to Work for the UK as Look Ahead are not a sponsoring organisation.
What you'll do:
Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs including support needs and daily living skills. This would include potential risks and an assessment of the customers independent living skills as a whole.
The initial and co-produced assessment will incorporate models of co-production, observation, and person-centred planning. This is with a view that it is solution focused as to provide a framework for progression towards independent living.
Liaise with partner agencies regarding the assessment process seeking advice and guidance as to specialist input and clinical input as part of multi-disciplinary assessment process.
Create support/ action plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available.
Empower customers to be part of the local community and active participants in the local community as part of a Recovery Capital model.
Liaise with partner agencies regarding making referrals where an unmet need has been identified via the multi-agency assessment.
Ensure that referrals are chased proactively so that properties which can be used to house those in need are filled as efficiently as possible.
Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Team Leader/Manager
Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks as past of the assessment of daily living skills, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation.
Develop and maintain links with all key agencies and service providers in the local community.

We have been operating in Ealing since 1994, and are proud to celebrate our 30th anniversary this year! Our Befriending Project supports people who are isolated and experiencing chronic loneliness. It provides a lifeline to people living alone who might go for days at a time not seeing a single person.
Key Tasks:
- Client Assessments: You will support a caseload of clients from their initial referral through to the end of their time with us. This will involve processing referrals, conducting assessments, matching with volunteers and conducting ongoing six-monthly reviews. You will provide regular telephone contact whilst they are on our waiting list and signpost to appropriate services as required.
- Matching and Coordination: You will interview potential volunteer befrienders and work with the Lead Coordinator to successfully link them with individuals in Ealing who are experiencing isolation. You will monitor the matches through monthly reports from the volunteers and six-monthly client reviews.
- Support and Supervision: You will provide support to the volunteers when required, particularly during the first month of their match. After that you will conduct six-monthly reviews and ad hoc support.

- manage the Finance team and work with the senior management team to ensure that we provide support for carers while operating according to Charities Commission guidelines
- review current finance support systems considering developments in IT making recommendations to the Senior Management Team and Board of Trustees
- ensure appropriate risk management techniques and financial controls are embedded throughout the charity at strategic and operational levels
- be responsible for the development and maintenance of procedures and systems to support the effective control and expenditure of financial resources
- support the Chief Executive, Treasurer and staff team on financial matters providing regular reports on income and expenditure including quarterly management accounts.
