The Role

This is an exciting role within a critical area of FILE, building our evidence base on impact and using it to support learning with a range of stakeholders. The Impact & Learning team at FILE is responsible for generating evidence and learning, enabling FILE and its partners to be as impactful as possible.

As a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Specialist, you will be part of a small and integrated team providing support across a broad portfolio of work.

This involves collating and analysing data, creating and facilitating learning processes within FILE and with our funded partners, and ensuring evidence and insights are fed back into our strategies and those of our partners.

This team works closely with all functions across the wider organisation.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will perform tasks related to the collection and analysis of data as well as learning from evidence regarding FILE’s activities. This position will primarily focus on supporting four key areas:

• Monitoring: enabling and supporting the collection of robust and consistent data from partners to support their progress towards impact
• Data management: partner data collation and verification from different data sources
• Donor and Board reporting: preparation and presentation of data and evidence for our donors and board to demonstrate our progress towards impact
• Learning: enable learning at all levels of the organisation through designing and delivering learning processes with FILE staff and partners

To achieve this, you will:

• Support our portfolio and grants team in monitoring and reviewing grant documentation in line with FILE’s results framework including providing grant assessments.
• Review and verify partner reports, providing summaries for internal portfolio, executive teams and FILE’s auditing.
• Monitor progress of individual grants and portfolios including data extraction in line with FILE’s Results Framework and Case Database
• Maintain and refine as required, data collection and management tools including partner reporting templates in collaboration with our grant management team.
• Summarise relevant data for inclusion in our 6 monthly donor reports and quarterly updates for our Board and Senior Leadership Team.
• Support our Impact and Learning Manager to coordinate strategic inputs from portfolio teams relating to progress and results for inclusion in donor reports.
• Support our Impact and Learning Manager with the development and facilitation of webinars and learning sessions for FILE’s key audiences.
• Prepare and share relevant data in a compelling format bi-annual learning processes with FILE portfolio teams.
• Support our Impact and Learning Manager with the creation of new templates and methods for showcasing impact and results across a wide range of audiences.

• Understanding of and interest in climate mitigation & adaptation, biodiversity or other environmental issues
• Proven experience of applying monitoring, evaluation and learning or research approaches within an organisation
• Experience and interest in building equitable relationships and partnerships and a confident collaborator, able to work with people across the organisation and with external partners
• Facilitation skills – in person and online, including designing sessions and processes which focus on learning outcomes for participants
• Experience of collecting qualitative and quantitative data using different tools and templates including desktop research and semi-structured interview
• Data visualisation skills using different platforms and tools to clearly and compellingly communicate data
• Good quantitative data management and analysis skills including use of MS databases (Excel, Access) or other similar tools
• Competent in translating technical information into reports or knowledge products for different audiences
• Well-developed project management skills
• Philanthropic experience an advantage but not a requirement

The Foundation for International Law for the Environment (FILE) was set up in 2018 to be the major philanthropic re-granter scaling up legal action globally to tackle the climate and the biodiversity crises.

Would you like to be at the centre of a major fundraising appeal improving lives for thousands of people across the UK? 

We are looking for an organised and creative Project Manager to coordinate our ongoing multi-million pound appeal. The campaign is funding specialist nurses and therapists for Parkinson’s, making a huge difference to the lives of people living with the condition. Parkinson’s is the fastest growing neurological condition, and this work is one of the charity’s top strategic priorities for 2024 and 2025 and a crucial fundraising and communications priority.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with fundraising and communications teams across the charity, including Philanthropy, Trusts, Commercial Partnerships and Special Events, with a growing focus on Individual Giving, Events, Community and Supporter Experience as the appeal builds momentum. 

We’re looking for someone who has successfully managed diverse projects, and also has experience of working in one or more of these fundraising disciplines to ensure they can hit the ground running. We’re keen to hear from people who have a proactive and problem-solving approach, and who enjoy working with lots of different people and on varied topics.

The post-holder will have the opportunity to learn from colleagues in several fundraising teams, growing their own skills and knowledge.

What you’ll do:

• Operationally plan and project manage the charity’s multi-year fundraising appeal, building systems and processes to ensure its success.

• Prepare project and campaign materials to support fundraising colleagues and volunteers with promotion and marketing, specific proposals, pitches and events.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Fundraising Directorate to identify existing and new supporters to share appeal plans and materials with

• Set and update specific targets for the appeal and track financial performance from pipeline through to banked income.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience of planning and project managing fundraising appeals and campaigns (or similar complex projects), leading to achievement of goals and targets. 

• Highly organised and able to manage a range of activities across different teams, encouraging and motivating colleagues to support the project goals and creating compelling project updates and reports. 

• Excellent interpersonal skills and confident working with key stakeholders at many levels within the charity. 

• Knowledge of key fundraising disciplines, including having worked with high value audiences or experience of digital marketing and engagement.

Main Purpose of the Role

The Creative Communications Lead is a key role within the Creative Team.  Working in collaboration with the Operations Team, the role holder has responsibility for the strategic oversight of internal and external communications and the practical ability to continue to develop the excellent design, social media and film content that enables and enhances St Stephen’s ministry.  We are looking for someone with a passion for creative comms, practical skills to enable the delivery and strategic oversight to bring it all into being.

Westway Trust is a community-guided organisation located in North Kensington which runs an adult learning programme of accredited and non-accredited provision across a range of subjects. Key responsibilities of the role include:

Teaching

• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality teaching and learning sessions, workshops, and tutorials in line with the curriculum requirements and the needs of individual learners, ensuring learning objectives are met.

Administration

• Preparing groups of learners for accredited assessment (exam or portfolio) & non-accredited assessment (RARPA), marking assessments and taking part in internal moderation and/or consultation meetings with appropriate Trust staff.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Essential

• Proven successful track record of planning and delivering high quality teaching of accredited and non-accredited provision in a relevant subject and at appropriate level(s).
• Experience of teaching adult learners of mixed abilities and an understanding of appropriate teaching strategies in a similar role.
• Experience of devising course outlines and schemes of work.
• Experience of assessing and recording progress, both in accredited and non-accredited learning and supporting learners.
• Knowledge and experience of working with a variety of exam boards.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to work as part of a highly collaborative team.

Desirable

• Understanding of the RARPA (Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement in non-accredited learning) system.
• Experience of working/teaching refugees and or asylum seekers.
• The ability to speak another language.

Qualifications:

Essential

• Hold a recognised teaching qualification such as CELTA, DELTA or TESOL or
• A full teaching qualification for working in adult learning (DTLLS, PGCE or DET)
• A minimum GCSE English Grade C or equivalent

Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led literacy and numeracy programmes across a number of prisons. We now have the opportunity to provide a service at HMP Isle of Wight. Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our literacy and numeracy programme at HMP Isle of Wight, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.

This role will be prison-based. We are looking for an empathetic self-starter to become our new Legacy Manager. This is a varied role, where you will be working with the Head of Individual Giving & Legacies to plan and manage the full breadth of a small legacy programme, which has huge ambition for growth.

You will be managing our legacy marketing programme; maximising the opportunities available to encourage supporters, and potential supporters to leave a gift in their Will, so that we can help more young people in the future. This currently includes a series of in-person legacy events at our centres as well as developing and delivering training to colleagues, so they are confident in promoting legacy giving to supporters they work with.

You will be the internal lead for legacy administration, working alongside our in-house legal team and our external legacy administration agency, to ensure that all estates are correctly administered, and that we realise the full value of the legacies left to The Trust. You will be working with supporters to answer their questions about legacy giving, and working with the next of kin to ensure that their loved one’s legacy is cherished.

If you are supporter-focused, experienced in legacy fundraising or supporter stewardship, and someone who is empathetic and sensitive then this is the role for you.

About the role

The Programme Manager will work in the Centre for Ageing Better’s Homes team.

Currently, millions of older people are living in homes that are unsafe – cold, damp, mouldy or with other types of hazards. The Homes team run a series of innovation, research, peer-support and influencing projects, that all seek to ensure that no one lives in a home that endangers their health, wellbeing or financial security. We work across local and national government and collaborate with a range of stakeholders.

The postholder would be responsible for collaborating with colleagues in the design, commissioning and delivery of a number of projects. The Programme Manager will use their creativity and experience to design work that has a clear route to impact, ensuring that everything we do has a traceable link back to the people we are trying to support.

The role will also require that effective programme management processes are followed to ensure effective, timely and impactful projects (e.g. milestone planning, budget management, risk, stakeholder engagement and delivery).

About you

You will be committed to trying to tackle the housing crisis, particularly for older people at risk of poverty, ill-health and facing discrimination. Knowledge of the current housing landscape and/or ageing issues would be an advantage but is not essential.

It is important that you can demonstrate excellent project management skills, designing and delivering projects that have a clear route to impact. Working collaboratively with others and experience writing and communicating complex ideas in an accessible way are essential.

You are likely to be overseeing projects that stimulate change at the local level through supporting service redesign processes, innovation practices and evaluation. Therefore, we are particularly interested in hearing from people who have experience working with organisations to adopt new practices or undertake service redesign, and/or who have commissioned or participated in evaluations.
