Pancreatic Cancer Action are excited to be seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Supporter Care and Fundraising Co-Ordinator to join our fabulous Fundraising Team. This is a varied role where no two days will be the same.

Our incredible supporters are at the heart of all that we do at Pancreatic Cancer Action. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with our fantastic supporters daily. Providing them with the tools, knowledge and materials they need to help reach and exceed their fundraising targets. From head shaves to cake sales, dress-down days to extreme sports. You will be the first point of call for all fundraising enquiries and be on hand to provide bespoke stewardship support to ensure we develop long-lasting relationships with our PCA community, groups and companies across the UK.
Main responsibilities:
- Provide admin and operational support to the Fundraising Team
- Accurately record and manage data using the Salesforce CRM system.
- Ensure that fundraisers and supporters get timely correspondents by email or phone.
- Inspire supporters through innovative new stewardship ideas, sending out relevant materials and offering support and advice to enhance their event/fundraising.
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing supporters, helping them to exceed their fundraising targets and inspiring them to become life-long supporters.
- Update all event portals with fundraising details and complete the registration process on time.
- Monitor and input data from various fundraising platforms onto our Salesforce database to ensure accurate reporting on income from events/fundraising.
- Take ownership of fundraising tracker to ensure first class stewardship is provided to all supporters.
- Supporting community-based fundraising volunteers and groups.
- Work collaboratively with the fundraising and marketing team to ensure that email templates, cards and certificates remain up to date and relevant to our audiences.
- Work with the fundraising team to identify ways to surprise and delight our fundraisers and ultimately build long term relationships with a consistent approach.

To ensure the continuation of our programmes during times of staff absence, we are now seeking to recruit a Prison Facilitator on a bank working basis to work across the North region. Working closely with prisons and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will support with the delivery and development of our literacy and numeracy programme in the North region, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.
Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships quickly and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. You will also have a willingness to travel, sometimes at short notice, to provide short or long term cover within the region including some overnight stays.
This role will be prison-based. This is a bank role and so the number of days to be worked will vary and are not guaranteed.

This is a varied, proactive and fast-paced role that involves representing the Trussell Trust on policy and public affairs in the region/nation, the leadership of a dynamic team of area managers that supports the network of food banks in the region/nation to deliver emergency food, and the coordination of projects and partnerships to support the food banks in our network to reduce the need for their services locally.
Role responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Manage the delivery in the region/nation of food bank operations and key strategic projects that are part of the Trussell Trust’s five-year strategy to end the need for food banks.

About the role

About you
You’ll have experience of designing and delivering internal communications and engagement plans, as well as being able to implement a range of techniques to engage diverse audiences in organisational change. You’ll know what drives engagement, how to nurture strengths and deliver areas for improvement. What’s more, you’ll have knowledge about developing and integrating organisational values and behaviours and you’ll have experience of implementing listening strategies, including managing a framework of tools to capture views.
You’re adept at developing excellent relationships and can interact effectively with diverse internal audiences. You’ll be confident in devising research, analysing data and creating summary reports. As well as having experience of managing projects and producing events, you’ll also have advanced digital skills and knowledge of tools to communicate effectively. The client is currently working with 33 schools and 33 churches in developing discipleship pathways for children and young people in Bolton. One key aspect of this project is the ‘Shades Project’, which focuses on racial justice and faith, supporting schools and churches in developing a culture for all children and young people, regardless of racial background, to thrive and flourish. In response to the exciting growth of the Shades Project, they are looking to appoint a Shades Schools Worker, to support the growing opportunities for Christian discipleship, and to embed the Shades ethos, in primary and secondary schools and parishes in Bolton deanery.
The Shades Schools Worker will work with the Shades team, in primary and secondary schools, delivering Shades Collective Worship and Shades ‘Safe Space’ workshops. They will also lead Shades Ambassadors groups, for those children and young people who are passionate about growing in their understanding of racial justice, the Christian faith and becoming courageous advocates. The Shades Schools Worker will also work with Bolton parishes and mission communities to promote the Christian message of God’s love for all of his children, encouraging children, young people and adults to celebrate their God-given identities and to grow spiritually.
The Shades Schools Worker will have many opportunities for training and development, as well as the creative freedom to develop initiatives for children and young people. They will work within a highly motivated and supportive team, who are committed to prayer and to welcoming children and young people into the life of the church.
The post holder should have experience of volunteering with children or young people in a church and/or school context. They will have a good knowledge of anti-racism and racial justice and a strong passion for a combined focus on the Christian faith and racial justice as well as experience of working with diverse communities.

They will be creative and able to lead and support activities in schools and parishes. Whilst this is a busy role, responsible for the delivery of two growing services, the fulfilment that comes from seeing the positive impact on someone's life that we have supported, makes this role incredibly rewarding.
In this role, you will:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of Marie Curie's Peer Support Services to provide volunteer-delivered emotional support by phone to people living with a terminal illness, carers, family and friends as well as those who are bereaved from terminal illness.
- Line-manage a team of Volunteer Co-ordinators and Peer Support Officers ensure a high-quality service is provided to all service users and volunteers are recruited, trained and managed at the highest standard.
- Be responsible for service key performance indicators (KPIs), governance, leading on design and delivery of training to volunteers, and proactively managing the quality of our services.
- Alongside the Team Leader of our Support Line, act as a safeguarding lead, ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed and staff and volunteers receive the support that they need to deal with difficult situations.
- Support the growth plan for the services by proactively identifying opportunities to develop the services, working in partnership with other teams, and being an ambassador for the services within Marie Curie, and externally as required.
