To be successful in this role, you will be a chartered accountant with excellent strategic finance skills gained at a leadership level, including substantial prior experience in P&L management, financial modelling and project accounting in a fast-paced environment. You will also bring strong controls and governance experience, with an understanding of what good looks like in finance. With exceptional relationship building skills, you will be a trusted advisor to staff at all levels and confident in presenting to influential internal and external stakeholders. What to expect in a fundraising role?
The Fundraising Officer role is a fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same.
A typical day will have different meetings, priorities and team projects. Corporate and University partnerships often involve supporting several different areas of a business or university with varying content, ideas and stewardship, including hosting supporters at our learning centres. Each fundraising area meets regularly to discuss challenges, new ideas and improvements, and the broader fundraising team meets monthly to reflect on progress to date and plan for the rest of the year ahead.
This role will also involve working with colleagues at our centres across the UK to organise workshops that are hosted and/or supported by our corporate and university partners, getting to know our different teams and helping thousands of young people to access vital learning and skillset opportunities each year.

The Role
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to work across both Houses of Parliament to ensure that our updated Safeguarding policy is effectively implemented and embedded across our varied teams.
The Parliamentary Estate is a mixed-use site, with many different activities involving a wide range of individuals: from members and staff of both Houses, to visitors on democratic access tours and attending proceedings, school children on educational tours, VIP visitors and parliamentary delegations, and tourists from all over the world.
You will need to work with teams across Parliament to understand these different activities, assess the risks of harm to children and adults at risk, the likelihood of those risks materialising, and how Parliament can effectively mitigate them. You will lead in the roll out of our updated Safeguarding policy alongside the development of a network of trained safeguarding coordinators, developing a community of interest to share best practice and guidance.
Some of the responsibilities for this role include:
- To be the lead source of advice and guidance on safeguarding policy and practice within Parliament.
- Support the work of the Safeguarding board, providing expert briefing, analysis and recommendations as required by the board.
- To act as an additional Designated Safeguarding Officer, supporting the work of the existing Designated Safeguarding Leads as required.
- To lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the new safeguarding policy, using a risk-based approach to embedding it in parliamentary activities, structures and culture.

Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- Experience of successfully implementing safeguarding policy and guidance in an environment which, like Parliament, is a mixed-use site, with a wide range of activities and stakeholders. Evidence of using a risk-based approach to deliver robust and proportionate training, procedures and guidance in support of meeting statutory obligations.
- Specialist knowledge of safeguarding relating to children and adults at risk, with a demonstrable understanding of current legislation, including core principles and current best practice, and the ability to apply this in a pragmatic way relevant to our organisational context.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to work across organisational boundaries and teams. Able to confidently engage with and influence people at all levels within the organisation, including senior leaders.

Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey is a county-wide charity supporting people of all ages who are Deaf, hard of hearing, blind, partially sighted, and deafblind. We have been supporting Surrey residents for over 100 years. Our main office base is in Fetcham, near Leatherhead, and our team of staff and volunteers work out in the community across the county.
The post holder will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to prioritise effectively and manage a busy and varied workload. Job Purpose:

The Fundraising Lead will play a critical role in supporting our ‘sustainability' strategic priority to ensure Cycle Sisters can access the resources it needs to keep making a difference. Job Purpose
Support the Fundraising Manager in the successful delivery of fundraising activities in line with Bipolar Scotland’s ambitious strategy and business plan.
Summary
The Fundraising Officer will play an integral part in the success of our small but vibrant national charity by maximising income from Corporate and Community based stakeholders. The post holder will focus primarily on developing corporate engagement, sponsorship and donations, but will also grow our Community fundraising arm and support the work of other income streams. The Fundraising Officer will contribute to the development and implementation of operational plans in support of the organisation’s strategic aim to Grow & Improve. The Fundraising Officer will achieve agreed financial targets and collaborate with colleagues and external partners as required.
Key responsibilities but not limited to:
- To proactively support the Fundraising Manager in developing and delivering a robust and ambitious fundraising strategy.
- Be an enthusiastic and professional first point of contact for all fundraising enquiries.
- Proactively research and explore new opportunities and partnerships for corporate and community support.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and manage a pipeline of corporate and community fundraising opportunities.

- Develop high quality and effective fundraising materials and products in line with organisational guidelines.
- Meet agreed fundraising targets and KPI’s and contribute towards the delivery of team KPI’s.
- Produce fundraising reports for senior management and our Board of Trustees.
- Manage existing volunteers, and the recruitment, training, and induction of new volunteers.

The UK Operations Director will lead on the delivery, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of RJ4All’s UK-based services, and especially those run from the RJ4All Rotherhithe Community Centre. It is expected that they will generate income for the UK operations and contribute to new ideas for UK-based projects that fall within RJ4All’s agreed strategy. Finally, the post holder will act in place of the Director when they are unavailable or for any other agreed reason.
