About this role
The Programmes Team is responsible for delivering demand-led services globally; providing tailored capacity building support to organisations and their partners through individual or framework contracts. As Programme Officer, you will work closely with Hub members to ensure events, trainings, services, projects and programmes are delivered to an exceptionally high standard, on time and budget.
This role also includes support to the monitoring, evaluation, research and learning aspects of RedR UKs role, particularly in regards to climate change and engineering in emergencies.
The primary purpose of the role is to enable the delivery of RedR UK’s Ukraine Humanitarian Criss response programme in Ukraine and neighbouring countries (hereafter referred to as ‘the Programme’).
Job Description
MAIN DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES and ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Delivery of events, courses, services, projects, and programmes

Assistance in the delivery of the Hubs’ events, courses, services, projects, and programmes.

In cooperation with line manager and colleagues, plan and identify tasks, prioritise, and allocate them as needed.

Support the project coordinator in activities, tasks, milestone, or deliverable tracking.

Lead on agreed elements of events, courses, projects, or deliverables, including external and internal representations as required.

Ensure wide communication of events, preparing marketing information and advertising where required.
-
Proof-read training material as required, and ensure RedR UK brand guidelines are consistently applied.

Organise availability of equipment, refreshments, resources, travel, accommodation, props, vehicle and venue as required. Prepare welcome packs, name badges, signature lists, certificates and other resources as required and ensure these are in place for the relevant time of the event

Respond to trainer and participant requests during the event, as required

Support the delivery of online events and, if necessary, travel to events and provide direct support to trainers and participants at events.

Support the recruitment of external project staff, consultants and Associate Trainers, resource persons and actors including the production of Terms of Reference and ensuring the implementation of fair and transparent recruitment.

Be a point of contact for external project staff, consultants, Associate Trainers and participants where required, responding to queries and providing information and support

Coordinate scheduling, liaison with trainers and interpreters to enable delivery of the Programme.

Be the first point of contact for participant enquiries (particularly where in Ukrainian language).

Translate text and training promotional materials into Ukrainian, as required.
Duty of Care and Procedures

Assist in researching the security situation, contributing information to risk assessments and travel plans.

Ensure compliance with general duty of care and RedR UK security and other relevant procedures.

Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning

Support the review of training materials for the L&D department, ensuring they are branded and formatted to RedR UK standards

Support the collection and analysis of M&E data across the programme teams

Ensure all monitoring and evaluation (M&E) data is collected and tracked for events, including:

Collating and recording course statistics and evaluation data;

Maintaining accurate Salesforce records for all RedR projects and learning events in the region and as requested by Line Manager;

Assisting with the collection and recording of impact assessment data

Support milestone tracking and reporting,

Assistance in drafting project or training reports.

Contribute to monthly and quarterly reporting.

Support the programme coordinator in the tracking and analysis of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) data.
Facilities, Procurement and Materials

Build and maintain excellent relationships with relevant suppliers including but not limited to external training venues, transport and material suppliers required to delivery services.

Prepare, order, and arrange shipping of learning materials for courses and other materials as required.

Prepare and format any online materials as required.

Procure any course materials, equipment, refreshments, resources, travel, accommodation, and venue hire where applicable.

Co-host live online sessions, providing support to the facilitator as well as to the course participants.
Admin and Finance

Maintain accurate finance records and monitor and record budgets and expenditure to provide timely analysis of this to inform decision-making.

Assist with audits, financial reporting and cash flow analysis.

Programme or training related administrative tasks including but not limited to filing; travel arrangements; logistics; procurement of materials required by the project or training; preparation of draft contracts or correspondence as requested by the line manager following agreed templates; assistance in competing required forms or compliance with RedR UK or project procedures; liaison with project staff, partners and stakeholders on administrative matters; etc.

Undertake timely and accurate processing of invoices and expenses in line with established processes and RedR UK’s Operational Manual. Support the programme coordinator on the monitoring of expenditure and budgets.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Language skills – Fluent English and Proficiency in Ukrainian is required for this role.

Climate Adaptation Assistant
Salary: £23,000 - £25,000

As Climate Adaptation Assistant, you will be helping to deliver SWT’s climate adaptation work across various projects. The over-arching aim of this work is to develop climate change adaptation pathways at a county level, and in specific local areas relating to flooding, drought and wildfire. This is designed to foster climate change resilience and adaptation in the county, and therefore involves working with a variety of stakeholders, including SWT colleagues, partner organisations, farmers and landowners, experts and academics, local councils and community groups. Additionally, you will have opportunities to undertake training for personal and professional development.
As the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) sixth assessment report laid out in March 2023, we are now on the brink of irrevocable damage from climate change; this is our ‘final warning’ and the time is now for action to address this crisis.
The report highlighted that restoring nature was one of the key actions needed to address this issue. Somerset Wildlife Trust (SWT) are at the forefront of this work in Somerset, and fully committed to this path through our Wilder Somerset 2030 Strategy and to delivering a vision whereby we reverse biodiversity loss and tackle the climate crisis.

Climate Adaptation Assistant
The Climate Adaptation Assistant's role is to support the delivery and embedding of SWT’s climate adaptation work in Somerset, building on the Co-Adapt Adapting the Levels project. This work helps to protect our fabulous wildlife and landscapes as well as local communities, using nature-based and natural process solutions to manage water, heat and wildfire that will help map a positive future for Somerset in the era of Climate Change.
Key outputs for the project will be:
- Co-creating Climate Adaptation Plans with communities across Somerset including the coast
- Inputting a climate focus and RAD (Resist, Accept, Direct) approach with project focus areas (such as the Adapting the Levels Landscape Recovery project in the Brue Valley)
- Climate adaptation support for Agriculture on the Somerset Levels and Moors – supporting the Moor Association project.
- The management of priority habitats, identifying triggers for ecological transformation and mapping options
Community engagement and consensus-based solutions approaches are major elements of the role. The role will also include a large degree of partnership working and liaison with technical experts in the Climate Change Adaptation Pathways and RAD approaches.

A lot of people know NCT for our antenatal classes, and we want to continue to support as many parents and families as we can to access evidence-based information. But we are also much more than this. We are a charity that campaigns on the issues that matter to parents. We run breastfeeding and infant feeding support, provided by specialist counsellors. We run thousands of free community activities and events across the UK, led by our fantastic volunteers and peers. And we support women and families facing specific challenges, such as social isolation, feeding difficulties or poor mental health.
Our Lancashire Infant Feeding Support project is commissioned by Lancashire Council, to offer infant feeding support across the region in both community and hospital settings. The support is delivered by staff and volunteer peer supporters.
We are seeking a capable Peer Supporter who will support parents at Preston Hospital and Ormskirk Hospital and at various community settings in Lancashire and offer support in service user homes. This role will mainly be based at out in the community, with some homeworking (expenses will be reimbursed).
About the Role
You will be responsible for offering breastfeeding support for parents within Preston Hospital and Ormskirk Hospital and the community.
Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:
· Providing breastfeeding support to families on the wards at the hospitals, in service user homes and community settings within Lancashire.
· Support in delivering inductions for volunteer peer supporters.
· To report any concerns or additional support needs of women to the NCT management team and/or Infant Feeding Lead for referral onto partner agencies as appropriate.
· To attend regular supervision/support sessions.
· Having a good working knowledge and understanding of the local demographics in the Lancashire area and ensuring all support is accessible and inclusive.
· Ensure that data collection and feedback is collected in a timely manner in an inclusive way.
You must have good communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily. This is a large project and covers multiple locations so you must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently.
Being able to make decisions and respond appropriately to our staff, peer supporters and parents and other external stakeholders is essential, alongside good IT skills– including Outlook, Word and Excel – and you must have good attention to detail.
It is essential for this post that you undertake the training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. This requires breastfeeding experience of at least 3 months. The training can be undertaken within your working hours.
The role is 17.5 hours per week which will be worked Monday Tuesday, Thursday 09:00 – 15:00. This will be split across the two hospitals, in service user homes and at community settings across Lancashire, however there is also some home-based working required.

The Director of Research is a key position in the organisation that leads our research activities, managing a small team as we invest in a prioritised and focused research portfolio. About the role
As the Mental Health Hub Service Lead, you will collaborate with the Director of Children and Young People Services and Clinical Leads to drive the strategic growth and development of the organisation's services. Mindful Mums is an award-winning perinatal mental health and wellbeing peer support project that builds resilience and confidence in women and birthing people in the first year of motherhood.
As a Mindful Mums Project Worker, you will help co-deliver our five-week Perinatal Wellbeing programme with our peer support volunteers. Within these groups, you will provide a safe, non-judgemental space for women and birthing people to share their experiences, meet others and discuss the challenges that come during the first year of parenthood.
You will be involved in all frontline aspects of the project, including training volunteers who have lived through their own perinatal mental health problems. You will also help to review, monitor and evaluate the project, and disseminate learning.
You will have knowledge of perinatal mental health, be an effective communicator with experience of delivering groups or workshops, and preferably experience of working within community based or voluntary services. Your exceptional organisation skills will support the successful delivery of the project and ensure that it is evaluated effectively.

The Project Officer (Strategic Data and Measurement Analyst) is an important new role at the Diocese, as you will provide a comprehensive understanding of our data sets to afford context and insight to the Deaneries, parishes and the Diocese which will help develop projects and programmes to drive growth in church attendance.
This role would suit someone who is an excellent and inquisitive administrative professional looking to expand into the field of data analysis.
As Project Officer, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of all types of datasets available within the Diocese, including demographic data, attendance records, retention statistics and financial records, whilst identifying and implementing appropriate tools and methodologies for collecting and analysing new data insights.
An integral member of the Strategy Team and reporting to the Strategic Programme Manager, you will lead data analysis work for projects as needed, providing statistical expertise and composing narrative insights for project reports to inform decision making, support funding cases and investment requests.
Acting as a point of contact between the project office and other stakeholders, you will provide coordination and support as needed to ensure the smooth implementation of projects.
