About this vital role
Leading by example, as Senior Caseworker you will be the day-to-day expert within the team, be a positive role model to the team of caseworkers and escalate concerns to the Team Leader or Service Manager. You will work with – and advocate for - young people and their families at risk of youth violence in residential settings and provide vital support, advice and advocacy using a strength-based approach, which will also include working through person-centred support plans designed to promote choice and control.
We will also count on you to deliver a holistic support service, working solo or with colleagues as the situation dictates, where you will provide a practical service that will include social and housing support, ETE options, benefits work, debt advice, appearing in court, and DIY work. Ensuring, on a day-to-day basis, all monitoring information and evidence is being recorded and collated in line with agreed processes, is also a key element of this role, as is developing and maintaining strong working relationships with partner agencies.

About this key role
Our successful candidate will provide proactive and inspiring management to a team of SOS caseworkers, where you will plan and support the team’s daily workload, monitor and review probation periods, conduct annual performance reviews and ongoing one-to-one throughout the year and review ongoing personal development plans and agree appropriate training. - To have worked on an offender-led support project, had personal experience of the criminal justice system, served a prison sentence, or still be serving a prison sentence in a prison within reach of London
- Experience in negotiating and networking with partner agencies to establish links to further the aims of a project

- Experience of working with vulnerable young people and adults
- Experience of setting up and operating systems to monitor and report on work with clients

One of the oldest hospices in the country, for over 50 years St Joseph’s Hospice has been passionate about providing high-quality, professional nursing care within a peaceful, home from home environment.
"My father-in-law spent the last few weeks of his life there and the care he and his family received was second to none. Being perfectly honest when my turn comes if I am not lucky enough to die peacefully in my sleep then this is where I would want to be.".
Surrounded by 12 acres of beautiful woodland garden the hospice cares for around 200 patients, and their families, every year from across a diverse geographical area, which includes Sefton, Liverpool and West Lancashire. All of the invaluable services the hospice provides, which include bereavement services, are entirely free of charge to patients and their families despite costing around £10k per day to run, so the hospice is largely dependent on fundraised income.
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Community & Events Fundraiser to join the ambitious and dedicated Fundraising Team at the hospice.
The Role
As a Community & Events Fundraiser you will be responsible for developing and implementing a programme of vibrant, commercially successful fundraising events. Duties will include:
- Managing community fundraising and building relationships with donors to maximise income.
- Recruiting and managing the Fundraising volunteers.
- Supporting the Income & Business Development Manager in delivering the annual objectives and targets.
- Attending third party fundraising events to offer support and promote the hospice within the community
The Person
To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will have excellent people skills with the ability to enthuse and motivate others. Proven experience of fundraising and events would be ideal, however we are keen to hear from people with transferable backgrounds including volunteering, business development/ sales or account management.

Embedded within the local authority, our successful candidate will carry out one-to-one mentoring work with a caseload of clients (aged 11-25 years) and produce support and risk management plans based on assessments, ensuring that they are equipped to think critically, assess risk, and make better life choices.

Our client is currently recruiting for a Digital Empowerment Officer to join their Community Engagement team. As a Digital Empowerment Officer, you will lead in the coordination, development and delivery of digital inclusion projects, initiatives and activities for Platform customers and communities.
This is a role where you will be active in communities promoting the use of digital platforms, tackling barriers to digital exclusion, and helping to improve digital skills. ABOUT THE ROLE
This strategic role will report to the Director of Operations and will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing operational functions across our businesses, focusing on fostering a positive working environment and employee experience, while supporting our social impact and business growth. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Senior Operations manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Director of Ops in ensuring we have efficient systems and processes across the organisation and providing support on contracting needs for the businesses. Occasionally we are asked to help support the operational development of our clients. The role will involve:
- Operations oversight (40%)
- To take a systematic view of all operations across the business and make sure we have the correct operational tools, systems and processes in place to support our internal needs as well as delivery of work to our clients. Lead on designing and embedding effective tools and systems to support this and ensure there are up to date process maps to support the team in using them.
- Regular reporting on these systems to the senior management team to support business management and strategic decisions
- Working closely with heads of each function to ensure we have the right processes in place that support the team in delivering their work

- Oversight of all contracting and HR obligations for our employees, including clients using the Hive service – onboarding, exit processes and everything in between
- Oversight of all processes in Hive to ensure smooth. operations. With Hive being new, and growing, processes and policies will need to be reviewed and adapted to Hive’s needs.
- Setup and maintain reporting systems that allow risk management and managing end of contract responsibilities.
