Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. We are a federation of over 170 organisations which provide just under 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across England. Purpose of the Senior Quality Assurance Officer role: 

As Senior Quality Assurance Officer, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in conducting and innovating Women’s Aid’s National Quality Standards (NQS) offer for member services. Sitting within Women’s Aid’s busy Membership Team, the postholder will successfully lead in supporting member services to continually improve and evidence good quality specialist responses to survivors’ needs in local service provision and will support the internal team alongside external consultant assessors to deliver a strong quality framework that reflects the diversity, and complex work of our members.  A key time for Women’s Aid to connect our policy work, our membership and our strategic campaigning work around the standards that fully represents the unique value of the membership body. 

Key duties and responsibilities of the Senior Quality Assurance Officer:

• To be responsible for the coordination of delivery of Women’s Aid National Quality Standards assessments including ensuring assessment processes are completed in a timely manner. 
• Scheduling Quality Assessment Panels including recruitment of panelists. This will include responsibility for ensuring terms of reference are fulfilled and ensuring potential conflicts of interest are identified and addressed. 
• Presenting assessments to the Quality Assessment Panel in the unavoidable absence of the assessor and notetaking including recording outcomes, actions and decisions where required.
• To support the Chair of the Quality Assessment Panel in conducting panel meetings and highlight areas of risk or conflict to the Chair in advance of meetings.
• Be first point of contact for dealing with appeals and complaints, managing low to middle-risk complaints and escalating to the Membership Resolution Manager as required for high risk complaints. 
• Responsibility for allocation of assessments to internal and consultant assessors ensuring target dates are met and operational considerations, such as location and conflict of interests, are considered. 
•  To conduct quality standards assessments of domestic abuse services, including reviewing evidence, making site visits, writing assessment reports and presenting cases to the Quality Assessment Panel.
• Review of assessment reports for quality, adherence to standards and consistency prior to presentation at Quality Assessment Panel, including giving feedback to the assessor and ensuring this is actioned.
• Develop a clear strategy and delivery plans to support the sustainability and growth of the Women’s Aid National Quality standards including supporting increase of income-generation activities.
• Line management of Quality Assurance Officer including day-to-day support, supervision and appraisal activities.
• To work across WAFE to promote the Women’s Aid National Quality Standards to commissioners and government as the ‘gold standard’ quality framework for services working with women and child survivors of domestic violence.  

What we are looking for in our Senior Quality Assurance Officer:

• Knowledge of quality frameworks appropriate to domestic violence services.  
• Knowledge and proven experience of the principles of quality assurance and good practice in delivering accreditation processes.   
• A very good understanding of the experiences and needs of women and children affected by domestic and sexual violence and violence against women and girls and the intersectionality that impacts this
• Thorough understanding of the role of specialist services supporting women and children at risk of violence against women and girls   
• Experience of writing and producing briefings and reports   
• Experience of planning, delivering and managing projects within a set timeframe and with clear outputs.  
• Experience of providing and/or managing direct services to survivors of violence against women and girls.   
• Excellent verbal, written and computer literacy skills.   
• Ability to analyse complex information and identify the implications for women and children affected by domestic violence and the services supporting them.

You will be responsible for leading and growing income via the charities Corporate Partnerships and Sporting Challenges. The ideal candidate will have high-level experience in corporate fundraising.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide excellent account management to some of the charities existing and new corporate relationships.

The Information Manager will coordinate and develop a range of health information needed by the migraine community and people living with migraine to raise awareness to both members of the public and health care professionals. The role is also responsible for ensuring the information on the website is up to date and coordinating and managing Patient Information Forum renewals.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and maintain quality health information: You will manage and update health information, scope, plan, and create new content in consultation with stakeholders, and identify target groups to produce materials to meet their needs. You will work within the Information and Support team constantly communicating with colleagues working on front line services to ensure the information being produced is in line with service users needs. You will also be responsible for managing the organisations PIF processes and assessments.
• Engage with the migraine community: You will hold focus groups to understand information needs, build strategic partnerships to disseminate information effectively, and support staff learning and knowledge-building about migraine.
• Support communication and dissemination: You will work with the Communications team to create accessible information formats, provide content for videos, blogs, and other communication channels and regularly monitor and report on the impact of information provision.
• Research: You will act as the key point of communication for the research committee, manage administrative duties for research funding applications and grants, and coordinate research meetings and liaise with funded researchers for project updates.
• Represent and support the charity: You will represent The Migraine Trust at external events and build relationships with healthcare professionals and stakeholders.

The Information Manager will have solid experience of communicating complex health information to audiences in written and online formats, as well as proven experience of producing information from the research stage through to writing, external review and liaising with designers. The successful candidate will have the ability to gain an in-depth understanding of medical and health related information, including research and critical analysis skills to develop an evidence base. You will have experience working within a health communication environment, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail with demonstrable editing and proofreading skills. You will have the ability to liaise with key stakeholders, be a self-starter with an ability to work independently and as part of a team and be able to work to tight deadlines. You will have knowledge and understanding of the benefits of patient engagement to produce health information.

The role is home-based with meetings in London once every 3 months which will include overnight stays and some ad hoc national travel. All travel/overnight expenses are covered. About this key role

Our successful candidate will monitor and manage the receipt of referrals from Probation through the Customer Approved System (CAS) ensuring they are successfully assigned to Personal Wellbeing Coaches using the appropriate guidance and process, ensure all inputting is accurate and within agreed timescales, plus provide regular activity reports to the Personal Wellbeing Manager.  You will be the primary point of contact for all enquiries, external and internal to ensure communication channels are clear and effective, while also liaising with external stakeholders (e.g. Prisons), delivery partners, spot purchase providers and other agencies to arrange appointments, referrals, and generally ensure information exchanged is done in a clear, timely and effective manner.

Developing and maintaining an Estates log and diary to ensure the team always have an approved site to meet service users in mandated locations when needed and providing administration for meetings, including bookings, invitations and minute-taking, are also vital duties.

• Experience of managing Customer Relationship Management systems, including inputting data and creating reports
• An understanding of the barriers faced by people with complex and multiple needs
• Knowledge of Trauma Informed practice and how to apply it in supporting service users
• Ability to develop and maintain means by which compliance with policy and procedure can be effectively monitored and reported on, including financial expenditure
• Impressive prioritisation relationship-building and interpersonal abilities
• First-class communication skills, both verbal and written

Key responsibilities

Community Fundraising 

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to increase income through regular giving, donations, campaigns, legacy giving, corporate partnerships, and other fundraising initiatives. 

• Promote participation in major sporting and challenge events. 

• Provide supporters with the necessary materials and motivation to maximize their fundraising efforts for the CGD Society. 

• Send personal thank you letters and certificates to acknowledge donations and fundraising efforts promptly.

Job Purpose

As the Head of Fundraising, your primary responsibility is to lead the strategic direction and execution of Village Water’s fundraising efforts, with a focus on diversifying income streams and maximising revenue generation. You will oversee all fundraising activities, particularly in Trusts and Foundations (both UK and International), corporate partnerships, High Value Donors, and statutory bodies. Through workshops, mentoring, professional development days and an eight-week research placement, participants receive the development opportunities and insight they need to progress onto postgraduate research degrees and careers in STEM, Social Sciences and Arts & Humanities subjects.

They support members, so it is easier for them to help their clients, and by directly influencing policy-makers, decision-makers and funders. There are currently 700 AdviceUK members and 1.7m people were offered free advice by members on a diverse range of issues including debt, housing, benefits and immigration problems.

This is an exciting time to join AdviceUK's growing team as they launch a new three-year strategy. The organisation will be making a significant investment in capacity, new support services and innovation to deliver the support and advice that members, the wider advice sector and their communities need.

The Policy and Public Affairs Manager will manage policy and public affairs activities, ensuring AdviceUK has a strong voice, and messages are heard at a national and regional level across England, Scotland and Wales, leading to policy change for the benefit of people seeking advice and the communities served by members. The post holder will develop policy solutions, a strong evidence base and effective stakeholder engagement, working collaboratively with AdviceUK colleagues to grow understanding of what members want, what is important to them and how AdviceUK responds.

Key responsibilities

• Policy Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to create authoritative policy positions, produce evidence-based policy materials, provide policy input for communications, stay informed on political trends, and represent at policy meetings.
• Public Affairs: Implement a proactive public affairs strategy, build relationships with government and other stakeholders, champion evidence-based advocacy, communicate public affairs work, and maintain an overview of political trends.
• Evidence and Insight: Champion an evidence-based approach to all AdviceUK's advocacy and external relations work, drawing on research and insight to inform our messages and policy recommendations.
• Management: Effectively manage and support team members, ensuring strong performance and professional development, while promoting values and behaviours.

The Policy and Public Affairs Manager will have at least 2 years' experience of delivering impactful policy and public affairs activities in a similar role, and experience and/or an understanding of the social welfare advice sector, the issues faced by advice providers and the communities they serve. The successful candidate will have experience of delivering proactive stakeholder management and working with partners to deliver policy goals and/or research activity. You will have experience of commissioning or delivering research and insight products and effective communication of research and insight activity to raise profile and amplify policy and advocacy goals. You will have experience of managing and motivating staff.

You will have the ability to build strong working relationships with peers, managers, members, partners and suppliers, with strong analytical, decision-making and organisational skills. You will have strong communication skills including using online forums, communities and events as an engagement tool. You will be able to use online reporting tools and CRMs and embrace new technologies and ways of working.

This role is home-based. You will need to attend meetings/events in London and there will be some travel across the UK. There may be out of hours work for which TOIL is granted.
