The role: You will oversee the development and delivery of high quality, person-centred, compassionate and effective support and services for older people across Bucks that has demonstrable impact and quality. You will help shape the charity’s structure and improve operational capability, building the team’s skills and nurturing new relationships with partners and clients to achieve this.

Your new role
- Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance and working closely alongside the Finance Systems Analyst.
- Assist with managing and maintaining financial systems and financial related software applications. These include Access Dimensions and focal point, Donor Strategy, budgeting tools and financial reporting platforms.
- Ensure the smooth functioning of financial systems, troubleshooting technical issues and supporting finance teams.
- Assist with resolving system-related queries from users as well as provide user training and documentation across the finance department.
- Assist in developing and maintaining standardised financial reporting templates, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
What you'll need to succeed
- Hold an IT or equivalent degree / qualification or experience and well-developed knowledge of IT and Financial Systems.
- Demonstrated finance software experience. Specifically, experience using Power BI, Power Query or other Microsoft applications.
- Experience / knowledge of SQL and data integration techniques.
- Familiarity with database management.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot system-related issues and accounting imbalances.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- The ability to work independently and prioritise tasks.

Urban Forest Coordinators at Trees for Cities are vital to delivery of our urban tree planting & greening projects. The role involves leading a range of volunteers in tree planting (including community groups, corporate volunteers & community payback groups), and all the behind-the-scenes work that goes with it such as loading & driving large vans, ensuring sites are safe to work & maintaining tools & equipment. The role is hands-on, practical & based outdoors 5 days a week in all weather conditions!
This is a physically demanding job that requires independent travel to different sites. The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable adjustments.

About the role:
As Director of Services, you will be responsible for a wide range of services including Hospital services (A&E support, discharge and falls prevention), community services (activity groups, befriending, clubs), information and advice services (including benefits, housing, carers and statutory advocacy).
You will be responsible for ensuring all contracts and grants deliver to targets and provide services of the highest possible quality standards with demonstrable impact measures and feedback systems.

- Provide strategic leadership, direction and development of all Age UK HHB Services, contributing to organisational strategy and the annual business planning process.

- Line Manage and develop Head of Services, Service Managers and other staff as appropriate, including setting targets and monitoring performance by ensuring that regular supervisions and appraisals are carried out, and tackling any performance issues in line with policies and procedures.
- Ensure Age UK HHB staff and volunteers are provided with up-to-date information sources, including any changes in national and local policy. To ensure services achieve external and internal quality frameworks and best practice guidance and to drive efficient working practices.
- Develop and oversee systems for feedback from service users to ensure the work, ethos and culture of Age UK HHB are informed by older people.
- To ensure quality data is captured for all service delivery allowing us to measure reach and impact for effective performance management, overseeing the provision of monitoring reports and dashboards for funders and board
- To work with the CEO, Managers and Trustees to develop annual budgets and to ensure services and projects are delivered to budget.
- Work closely with external partners and commissioning/funding agencies to ensure that Age UK HHB delivers the range of services that are required and/or contracted, on time and on budget.

To be successful in the role you will need to be able to operate effectively in challenging times and a constantly changing working environment. Experience in successful leadership, managing people, organisational change and improving business processes to support the charity’s strategy will be essential to this role.
Essential skills and experience include:
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent, or substantial successful senior management experience.
- Proven experience as an inspirational and successful leader of teams of staff and volunteers.

Civitas Recruitment are delighted to be working with a fantastic UK based international charitable organisation working with businesses, governments and communities to clean and protect oceans. An exciting opportunity exists for a Head of Digital to join the team. As Head of Digital, you will develop and implement the charities digital strategy to ensure an excellent digital experience for supporters and stakeholders. You will lead and manage a small team, while also managing digital development through a matrix structure across multiple roles and departments. This is a full-time, permanent role, home based within the UK, flexible working options.
Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have a substantial track record of leading, managing and developing digital teams. You will have experience of delivering complex digital transformation projects with demonstrative experience of leading growth through digital projects (e.g., in subscriptions, members or sales). You will possess excellent working knowledge of CMS, CRM/Marketing Automation, Google Ads, Email Marketing and in-app analysis tools. Proven experience in the implementation and development of CRM systems, with strong understanding of data segmentation and profiling – including protecting data through the GDPR is essential for the role. You will possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and be comfortable working with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

Volunteering Support Officer
The role
Working within Tameside’s volunteering team to raise the profile of volunteering in the community, the Volunteering Support Officer will support the delivery of a high-quality service both to individuals interested in volunteering, and to volunteer managers working within Tameside’s VCFSE sector.
The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who is passionate about volunteering and its impact on individuals, organisations, and communities. You will enjoy meeting and interacting with people from diverse backgrounds and communities. You will be someone who likes to work collaboratively and is organised and skilled at following systems and processes.
Salary: £14,171- £15,154 per annum
NJC Scale: Grade 4 SP 7-11
Hours: 21 per week Monday to Friday (occasional weekend and evening work may be required)
Length of contract: 6 months fixed term
Location: Tameside Borough, with some homeworking
