The central focus of the role includes the implementation and delivery of;

Supporting targeted youth engagement and outreach programmes using sports, arts, and media to build relationships with young people aged 10-25 from vulnerable and disadvantaged communities.

Staff and support specific mental health and wellbeing workshops for cohorts of young people aged 10-25 from vulnerable and disadvantaged communities.

Provide mentoring and personal development opportunities including;

Supporting young people to design and deliver their own social action projects in cooperation with their peers, other young people, and the wider community.

Link/support young people into wider progression pathways.

Monitoring and administration duties
The Project Coordinator will also support the development of positive relationships with project partners while ensuring young people are engaged in opportunities that are developmental, innovative, and meaningful. The successful candidate will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS disclosure.
KEY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES (not in priority order)

Recruit, organize and lead creative workshops and engagement activities (involving sports, arts, and media) with existing/new cohorts of young people from targeted marginalized communities across Greater Manchester.

Support the planning and delivery of our projects alongside a range of local delivery partners.

Devise appropriate and sensitive action plans to support young people through each stage of their developmental journey including 1-2-1 meetings, focused groups, emails/phone calls, home visits etc.

Work in partnership with local services and provision to ensure RFF is linking into and enhancing local opportunities for young people.

Work with Head of Programmes and Lead Youth Worker to source and support sessionals and freelance facilitators within a range of accredited and non-accredited training for young people involved in our programmes.

Support the Head of Programmes and Lead Youth Worker with the development of new projects, new/existing partnerships.

Source and refer young people onto progression pathways within either further volunteering, training, employment, or enterprise.

Focus on monitoring for programmes and initiatives, including registers/consent forms, updating, and maintaining RFF’s online secure system and provide any supporting information for evaluation purposes i.e. case studies to Head of Programmes or Lead Youth Worker.

Support and promote the profile of RFF and our engagement programmes alongside the Lead Youth Worker at public speaking events, taster sessions, meetings, conferences.

Ensure compliance with RFF polices in relation to health and safety, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Safeguarding and working with volunteers and young people.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Work flexibly where appropriate in the evening, weekends and during school holidays to ensure full and supportive delivery of the programme.

Undertake regular training in Safeguarding, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) and new training to develop work related skills and knowledge.

Undertake any other related responsibilities commensurate with the evolving objectives of the post and the evolution of the Foundation, as may reasonably be requested by the Head of Programmes.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Have at least two years’ experience of leading/delivering creative youth work programmes across multiple/complex communities.

Clearly demonstrate an ability to build trusting relationships and deliver high quality activities for young people.

Have excellent knowledge in relation to social issues and challenges faced by young people and communities across Greater Manchester.

Have experience of engaging and mentoring young people from a variety of complex backgrounds and diverse communities.

Have an understanding of the sport for development and youth work sectors.

Have experience in facilitation and monitoring of youth projects and demonstrate an understanding and experience of managing information using computer software/systems.

Office
Keeping the office tidy and well managed – this includes:
·Support the office by ensuring stocks of tea, coffee and basic stationery are maintained.

Programme Overview
The Refugee Employability Programme is a new initiative that offers enhanced support to defined cohorts of legally recognised refugees in the UK. Starting in September 2023, the programme will provide tailored support for each participant focussed on gaining sustainable employment. Palladium will work with employers, local government, and other community partners to ensure that individuals are fully supported with their journey back to employment and integration into UK society. The programme includes delivery of employability- focussed English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) tuition for some of the defined cohorts.

Primary Duties and responsibilities:
As Case Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the front-line support to customers on the Home Office Refugee Employability Programme, ensuring that they receive excellent service which is compliant with all Home Office requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Take responsibility for engaging with potential customers, explaining eligibility and bringing in referrals to the programme as part of a coordinated team approach.
· Be accountable for your caseload of assigned customers and working with them to address their learning, integration and employment needs in line with both contractual requirements and the individual’s needs. This will include:
o Building rapport and a positive working relationship with each customer.
o Assessing the customer’s starting position to decide how to best meet their needs.
o Creating and following through with individual Personal Development Plans, ensuring appropriate and effective activity is undertaken by each customer.

Location and compensation

As a Hospital Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will:
- Implement effective ways of working with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm.
- Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a premium service prioritised according to risk, primarily focusing on victim/survivors aged 16+
- Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.
- Be comfortable with running group training sessions and be willing and able to share your specialist knowledge with acute staff across the hospital.
- Have excellent communication skills, a proactive approach and the confidence to be able to influence the way in which this service is delivered are key.
Please note that the successful applicant will be required to sign an honorary contract with the Hospital Trust in addition to their contract of employment.
You will need:
- Have a knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse (in heterosexual or same-sex relationships).

This is a great opportunity to work with a lead provider of homelessness and housing advice and support and gain invaluable experience while being part of an exciting employability programme centred on lived experience.
The service provides early help for adults facing multiple disadvantages and is part of two wider programmes: Manchester Bringing Service Together for People in Places (BST PiP) programme and the national Changing Futures programme. You will work alongside the Navigators, services and agencies to identify blocks and barriers within the support systems for people experiencing multiple disadvantage and come up with solutions. Our Dementia Support Services in North London provide a highly responsive and individualised information, signposting and referral service to people affected by dementia. In addition, we facilitate a range of group activities including dementia café’s and Singing for the Brain.
This role will be supporting the south Asian community within Newham, Enfield and Barnet, so we are looking for someone who is be fluent in English and south Asian languages in particular Urdu.
