Salary: Band B, £24k to £30k, depending on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

· Identify and maximise opportunities to raise funds from companies, trusts, foundations, and other funding bodies.

· Manage a portfolio of existing and prospective partners from across companies, trusts and foundations.

·  Research and maintain an on-going, sustainable pipeline of prospects including new trusts and foundations, companies and industry sectors.

· Plan, prepare and write compelling applications for funding.

· Build effective relationships with funders in order to secure long-term funding and support. Achieve income targets that support the delivery and fundraising goals.

· Keep accurate, relevant, timely records on our CRM and maintain regular communication with relevant teams including operations, finance, marketing and fundraising teams.

· Create inspiring reports and updates for funders that bring to life the impact of their support and demonstrate first class stewardship.

· Where appropriate, attend events to meet funders and/or promote EDT.

· Work closely with relevant teams to embed monitoring and evaluation throughout the funding process. Report on progress, results and income in a timely manner.

· Work with the Fundraising Manager with analysing trends to support the fundraising strategy.

Competencies and Attributes:

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong organisation skills - can manage workload and deadlines and proactively work to achieve timely delivery.

· Experience of securing funding from grant makers and/or companies.

· Experience of planning, preparing and writing high quality bids, funding applications and reports.

Job Purpose

As a member of the ‘Training Ground’ project, we want you to engage with young people and enable them to reach their full potential with education, training, and employment (ETE) opportunities.

As an Employment Mentor you will help the young people to develop their skills, confidence and offer them guidance when entering the workplace.

The Training Ground programme uses the power of the club’s badge to engage with young people in the community. The project will provide one-to-one mentoring sessions and access to wraparound support, including physical activity sessions, employability and life skills sessions.

The programme will provide an opportunity for targeted groups of young people not currently in education, training or employment in Merton and Kingston to access training and work experience to enable them to gain the skills and confidence to gain employment.

The post holder will have experience in working with young people from a range of backgrounds, whilst also building professional relationships with employers and external stakeholders. 

Wayfinder is our community led, relational homelessness programme. We're looking for a Engagement & Support Worker to join our small team and help support our participants and volunteers. 

The post requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds. The successful candidate will work as part of the Homeless Services Team to support clients across a number of our projects, with a primary focus on support our Wayfinder Participants.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with vulnerable, homeless people or disadvantaged groups. The post is a mix of practical involvement and administrative work and requires flexible working and adaptable thinking. Some evening and weekend working will be required as part of the role.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• To provide advice and support to clients to help them stay in their property or find and secure long-term accommodation.
• To work alongside other staff and volunteers to support clients in a way that acknowledges their identity, dignity and self-worth. Engaging with them to address the issues which have contributed to their current situation.
• To deliver activities, one to one support and group sessions to clients.  
• To accompany clients to meetings with other agencies or healthcare professionals.

The Help for Heroes Community Development team are looking to recruit a team of Community Development Managers to assist in their reshaped participation and connection strategy. Using Asset Based Community Development, we seek to support the charity’s objective to enhance reach and positive impact for members of the Armed Forces Community facing challenges within their local communities.

As a Community Development Manager, you will lead and inspire a team of Community Builders, fostering collaboration, innovation and commitment to community impact working in an ABCD informed way. The aim is to connect and re-engage members of the AFC with the services at Help for Heroes and within the wider community. 

This is an exciting and varied role for dynamic and confident individuals, in which the right candidate will work directly within communities across the UK; bringing the Armed Forces Community together to improve wellbeing and make the community a better place to live. The main purpose of the role is to contribute to the leadership of an integrated, community development and hybrid volumizing offer which improves reach and sustained positive impact for members of the Armed Forces community. 

About You

You will be responsible for the effective line management of a dispersed community-based team and have experience managing co-designed/co-delivered community development initiatives. You will recognise the potential for growth and expansion within these communities and empower local people to exact changes focused on what’s important to them. 

You will have a genuine professional commitment to ABCD informed delivery, possess the capacity to work collaboratively with others and pilot projects for new community development initiatives by identifying and creating viable plans for growth and expansion to increase reach, impact and accessibility across the AFC.  

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate locality-based Community Development related services 

• Provide line management for a regionally specific team of Community Builders, positively participating in line management meetings, annual appraisals, monthly and quarterly team meetings as required facilitating 1:1 and group line management supervision including volunteers 

• Act as safeguarding and health and safety lead for your regional team ensuring safe practice 

• Set clear objectives and performance expectations for Community Development colleagues/volunteers and programme activity

PLEASE NOTE: There is a requirement for frequent travel extensively within the regions allocated for this role. About the role:

This role is based in Portsmouth, operating as a hybrid working model with three days in the office, and two working from home. All travel costs to and from appointments from your office base will be reimbursed.

As a Domestic Abuse Caseworker, you will be:

• Focusing on victims of domestic abuse, providing a pro-active, short to medium term crisis intervention service through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional & practical support
• Supporting victims face to face or over the telephone to assist them in accessing services to keep them & their family safe
• Developing individual safety plans to meet client's needs as identified in the needs & risk assessment
• Providing advocacy, emotional and practical support and information to victims including exploration of legal & civil options, housing, health and finance and support clients through the criminal justice system
• Participating in multi-agency meetings by being the voice of the client & follow up actions agreed in meetings keeping the client's safety at the forefront of proceedings

About the team

Our Finance Department works as a team of experts to safeguard resources and support decision making across Shelter. We strive to ensure Shelter is financially sustainable in order to achieve our vision of a home for everyone. This role will manage the Financial Planning and Analysis team. We support the charity through financial reporting, analysis, and expert advice, and enable collaboration to support managers and leadership in making effective business decisions.

About the Role

As our Financial Analysis Manager, you will take a coaching approach to the line management of our five-person team and ensure the team are engaged, motivated and effective, supported to drive their own development and delivers its outcomes.  You will also be expected to produce expert strategic financial analysis, insight and reporting and an excellent user experience for both wider colleagues at Shelter and external stakeholders and to assist the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis in the management of the budgeting and forecasting cycles.

We will also count on you to manage the Financial Analysis team’s work in the monthly reporting cycle and work closely with Financial Control and Operations management on the continual development and improvement of these processes.  Ensuring the Financial Analysis team is effective in reviewing bids for external funding, preparing timely and accurate reports on spending against restricted funds, and supporting budget holders around Shelter in financial management of restricted projects are also key elements of the role.

As our new Senior Statutory and Trust Fundraising Manager, you will manage and develop new and existing funder relationships across trusts, statutory, and foundations to ensure we can increase the number of women we support by extending our services across London, implementing innovative services for young women, and providing timely therapeutic support to mothers and their children to ensure they can live a life free from further harm and abuse.

The charity was originally established by a group of survivors and counsellors to meet the gap in specialist mental health services, designed by and for women, to ensure that women affected by DA can live a life free from further harm and abuse.

This is a pivotal time to join the Woman’s Trust Fundraising team, as we are halfway through our five-year strategy to increase the number of women we support each year. Our focus is on vitalising services for young women, launching user-led peer support groups, and supporting children and their mothers via timely therapeutic support whilst securing funding to establish our research and policy work and formalise our training for professionals.

As a creative and tenacious senior fundraiser fully versed in embodying survivors’ stories to secure six-figure, multiple-year grants, with the proven ability to effectively package services to meet funder themes whilst conducting regular prospecting, producing impactful funder reports and maintaining Donorfy, we want to hear from you! Our client, a new start up business school, is recruiting for an Admissions Coordinator. This role is responsible for coordinating efficient functioning of the admissions processes across all programmes from application to admission.

This is a full time temporary role in the first instance, looking to go permanent for the right candidate. You will be required on site 4 days per week for the initial training period, and this can go down to 3 days once you are established in the role.

As a wildlife charity serving a heavily urbanised area, a major element of our work is to provide the ecological evidence that supports the designation of wildlife sites and informs the protection of nature in the face of urban development.

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to nature’s protection and recovery in Birmingham and the Black Country. The post holder will undertake ecological survey and management planning work to underpin the protection of local wildlife of great value to people, communities and organisations across our region.

This will be a varied role that will include biodiversity survey and site assessment work, biodiversity net gain calculation, development of the Trust’s engagement with nature-based solutions, and advancing the organisation’s staff, members’, and partners’ understanding of urban ecology. You will have excellent ecological survey skills, and the confidence and ambition to affect conservation outcomes through the provision of high quality ecological evidence. The role of an IDVA is to address the safety of victims and survivors at high risk of harm. IDVAs work with their customers from the point of crisis by safety planning and risk assessing using the DASH to ascertain the level of risk to the victim.

What you'll do:

Manage client referrals, completing Dash Risk Assessments and obtaining and maintaining all relevant paperwork.
Building supportive, trusting relationships with clients and creating a positive atmosphere.
Knowledge of the criminal justice system. Understanding of Marac protocols.
Regular attendance at Marac and completion of all Marac referrals.
Support Customers to obtain Non Molestation Orders where needed and any other civil remedies available to them.
Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities.
Attending all court and Case Management hearings with or as a representative for clients.
Supporting clients to set personalised goals in the form of a Safety and Support Plan.
Assisting in the recording and reporting of customer incidents.
Creating a safety plan with clients.
Developing productive relationships with partner organisations to improve service outcomes.
Adhering to lone working protocols and maintaining high levels of awareness in relation to the health and safety of yourself and colleagues.
Encouraging customers to attend relevant programmes when appropriate i.e Own My Life.
Ensuring Look Ahead Health and Safety policies and local protocols are adhered to at all times e.g. fire risk assessments, fire alarm checks etc.
Adhering to all other Look Ahead's policies and procedures.
Engaging in learning and development activity to increase knowledge and skills.
Undertaking any other duties consistent with the grade and nature of the post as assigned by the Service Manager.
