The Director of Finance & Administration will work closely with the CEO and take full ownership of the Finance department, as well as oversea HR and Admin. The post holder is responsible for the finance staff team of two people. This role is being offered on a 0.75 basis and is to cover maternity leave of the permanent postholder.
The role:
- Inputting into the Strategy and Business Plan working closely with the other members of the Senior Leadership Team.
- Provide ongoing support and challenge to the Chief Executive, wider Executive Team, Treasurer and Board.
- Responsible for leading a team that can provide accurate and strong financial information in a timely manner that enables informed business decisions to support the ongoing commercial and charitable needs of each operation within the Charity.
- Confidently present the budget to the Board and wider team and respond to challenges and feedback in a proactive manner.
- Working closely with the Director of Research to keep track of restricted funding as well as the level of unrestricted reserves.
- Lead the charity through the audit process, acting as the main point of contact for the auditors.
- Create monthly management accounts with commentary to the senior leadership team to tight deadlines, quarterly reporting to The Board in Finance Committee meetings and Board meetings.
- Maintaining established internal controls and overseeing that governance documents are up to date with Companies House and Charities Commission.
- Oversee HR and Administration acting as the main point of contact with the outsourced HR provider.
- Payroll – liaising with the payroll provider to ensure accuracy and efficient payment of the payroll and taxes.

About the role
As Public Affairs Officer you will provide the secretariat for the APPG for Ending Homelessness, a well-established cross-party group, with broad interest and engagement from across the sector and who have successfully influenced Government on a range of issues relating to homelessness. The Public Affairs Officer will work with the APPG co-chairs and officers to agree a strategic programme of work and to deliver events, meetings and inquiries in adherence with parliamentary procedures. You will work with the wider Policy and Campaigns team to establish the APPG position on key homelessness and housing announcements, as well as managing the APPG communications via the website, mailing list and social media. Previous APPG activities have included inquiries into the previous Government’s commitment to end rough sleeping, homelessness amongst Ukrainian refugees and homelessness upon leaving public services.
You will also shape and help deliver Crisis’ public affairs activity, including in support of our national campaigns to secure the policy changes to end homelessness, and to increase awareness of Crisis more broadly. This includes shaping regular engagement with MPs and politicians to inspire them to work with Crisis, position us as experts, as well as delivering Parliamentary events and supporting our programme of activity at political party conferences.
The role sits within the campaigns team in the Policy and Social Change directorate, but you’ll collaborate with a wide range of teams across the organisation to identify public affairs opportunities and ensure people with lived experience are at the heart of our political influencing activity, including with Crisis frontline services.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have strong knowledge of parliamentary and political procedures, including experience of working with APPGs or similar groups of politicians. Reporting to the Global Campaigns Director, this pivotal role works across the WaterAid federation to achieve the political and policy changes needed to ensure universal access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene.
The Global Head of Campaigns will lead WaterAid's campaigning on one of our two global advocacy priorities (currently climate). They will drive our strategic direction and, create the campaigns plan to embed WASH in the climate change agenda, building up political momentum, broadening out our campaign alliances and influential champions. The post-holder will be a champion for campaigning within the organisation, ensuring we achieve a greater impact than the sum of our parts through effective and strategic campaigning across countries, regions and international levels to deliver WaterAid's mission of WASH for Everyone Everywhere by 2030.
Team Description
The Campaigns Team plays a leadership role across the WaterAid Federation to drive the design and delivery of WaterAid's major advocacy and campaigns efforts to achieve SDG 6. We deliver an ambitious agenda, grounded in national level change and impact, using a variety of campaigning tactics, including advocacy, lobbying and working with influential people and organisations
Accountabilities
Key accountabilities will remain flexible. Work plans, and targets may change significantly according to political and advocacy priorities. Overall, this role will;
Campaigns leadership
- Campaigning leadership of one of the two WaterAid global advocacy priorities (currently climate) in a way that delivers impact.
- Alongside our International Affairs team, lead WaterAid's international influencing strategy, working with other teams to drive our engagement in key global political processes that will drive forward our advocacy agenda, with a clear vision of what success looks like and how it contributes to the theory of change
- Build and lead public engagement and campaigning strategy to drive awareness and action on our global advocacy priority.
- Lead the transition from policy to public campaigning, working with communications colleagues to turn policy into public messaging and events.
- Lead the building of political support and champions with influential stakeholders, working with teams across WaterAid as relevant
- Lead the building of relationships and joint strategies with campaign coalitions, allies and partnerships that expands our network into the women's health/climate change sectors, complements our advocacy approaches, and ultimately drives further progress on our mutual campaign interests
- Lead the organisation to utilise a range campaigning approaches, moving beyond WaterAid's comfort zone where it needs to, that will deliver against the theory of change for the advocacy priority.

Campaigns operations
- Project Manage the delivery of the global advocacy priority, leading the execution plan, holding team members to account, chairing meetings and managing the budget.
- Provide operational leadership on cross-federation and cross-department collaboration on the global advocacy priority, to ensure the organisation has the buy-in and collaborates effectively for maximum impact.
- Work with WaterAid members, media and communications team, regional teams and country programmes on strategically important campaign moments to ensure strong strategic value and high-quality delivery
- Working with the fundraising teams to identify a pipeline of funding opportunities, collaborate in the development of fundraising proposals as opportunities emerge.
- Budget management responsibilities for the team
- Be an active participant in the Advocacy Steering Group (co-chair), the federation-wide group that has oversight of the roll out of both the global advocacy priorities, and raise up major issues to the Global Campaigns Director

Team management
- Line manage a Senior Campaigner that drives forward WaterAid campaign priorities and matrix manage a Campaigns Officer on specific projects (and external consultants as needed)
- Play an active role in facilitating strong team communication and coordination across policy, international affairs and campaigns teams within the department for effective delivery of the global advocacy priority.

We're looking for an experienced Events Manager to join our External Engagement Team (EET), to lead strategy and delivery of our portfolio of events, including our Annual THET Conference and the UK-Africa Health Summit, alongside other events such as in UK parliament, and overseas.
You will work closely with the with the Policy and Events Officer and the Communications and Convening Coordinator, and also engaging closing with different functions and teams across THET for successful delivery.

About the role
The successful applicant will work closely with the CEO, the management team, and Trustees to implement, develop and deliver a fundraising strategy that meets the charity’s challenging income targets. This post will play a vital role in helping us to deliver our range of throat cancer support programmes to patients, families, as well as to medical professionals and the scientific research sectors. This is a unique and challenging role, which will see the successful applicant working on a variety of projects at any one time, whilst working under pressure to deliver results. MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Fundraising duties as required.

RASASC is a registered charity which has been providing support to survivors, of all genders, of rape and sexual abuse (both recent and non-recent) aged 13 and upwards, from across Surrey since 1992.
We provide one-to-one counselling, group support, Helpline, Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) service, and peer support groups.

Counselling Coordinator
This role is based in Guildford. You will be responsible for the administration and coordination of our counselling service, taking calls and responding to email enquiries from clients, supporting the team with room booking, greeting clients, answering the door, booking assessments and supporting the Clinical Lead and the counselling service in general. This is a varied and exciting role, requiring stamina and a can-do approach! Key functions
· Receive referrals for our counselling service, family support service and group support. Referrals are received through other agencies, internal services and self-referrals
· Contact potential clients and arrange appointments for assessments with our RASASC Assessors
· Following assessment, allocate clients to an appropriate counsellor supported by the Clinical Lead where necessary/appropriate
· Provide all documentation and information to the client and the counsellor as required
· Upload, update and maintain all information relating to clients, e.g. referrals and assessments, on Oasis (our CRM)
· Manage assessment processes and ensure assessors produce assessments for the counsellors and the office
· Ensure CORE 10 clinical measure forms, pre and post intervention, are obtained and inputted onto Oasis
· Ensure all other evaluations, pre and post intervention, are obtained and uploaded onto Oasis
· To resolve clients’ disability and access issues when required.
· To support with the monitoring of the waiting list and to proactively discuss with the Clinical Lead and Chief Executive Officer if the need for additional assessors or counsellors is required
· Provide monthly data to the Clinical Lead, Fundraising Manager and Chief Executive Officer as requested
· Provide administrative and IT support for ongoing training for counsellors
· Support with room booking, greeting clients, answering the door, phone calls and dealing with emailed client queries as required

About the Role:
As our Senior Marketing Officer (Supporter Activation) you will project lead our highly successful water bill insert campaign (managed in close collaboration with the Water Industry Partnership Team). Overseeing the delivery of these campaigns from briefing through to post-campaign analysis, as well as the development of new ideas to maximise the opportunities offered by this relationship.
You'll support the Marketing Manager and wider team in the day-to-day development, management and delivery of a number of fundraising campaigns. In particular our successful DRTV programme, managing the relationship with our telemarketing agency and support in planning and delivery of new creative.
You'll also:
- Managing our response handling agency to ensure effective conversion of response for our DRTV campaigns through regular monitoring and testing; providing training and development and analysing results regularly.
- Manage agency relationships; overseeing the management and development of any campaigns from briefing through to post-campaign analysis, collaborating with external partners, taking responsibility for resolving queries, trafficking all stages of the project and escalation of potential problems.
- Help develop and manage expenditure and income budgets. Help create the budget, to monitor monthly management accounts and key performance indicators and to undertake reforecasts as required.
- Regularly monitor, evaluate and analyse campaigns, providing regular results and recommendations for strategy development based on reviews and analysis.
- Liaise with team leaders and project managers in other departments to identify and implement new cross-working opportunities utilising specialist knowledge and experience in direct marketing.
- Remain up-to-date about developments in the external market-place and assess the suitability of new, innovative approaches for recruiting supporters to remain competitive.
