Role context:
Cord’s turnover is about £2m a year. About 85% of Cord’s funding is restricted, coming from institutional donors like the EU and the US government, and 15% (about £300K) is unrestricted coming from a committed UK supporter base and other private fundraising streams.
In 2024, Cord operates in eight countries and has offices in Burundi, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia & Philippines. Cord has a global team of thirty people with finance staff across six country teams.
The Finance Manager role is a newly created role which is being introduced to strengthen the organisation’s financial management and control systems. The postholder will work across the breadth of the finance function preparing internal management accounts and external annual accounts.
In 2024, Cord changed its finance system to use Business Central. The Finance Manager will become the organisation’s main ‘admin’ user of the finance system. In the near-term, there will be a particular focus on rolling out further functionality of the system.
The Finance Manager will have oversight of the UK finance function through the line management of the UK Finance Officer and will directly deliver on the international side of operations in the areas of donor compliance, programme financial management, partner financial monitoring, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- To support the Head of Operations to provide finance team leadership, develop and deliver an annual finance workplan to ensure continual improvement, and to drive finance capacity across the organisation
- To ensure the effective financial management of the organisation create and maintain effective financial control

About the Role
The Head of this team will recruit and look after all fundraisers and donors giving up to £10k. You will drive an ambitious step change in donor acquisition and donor experience, embedding a culture of innovation, business process, responsiveness, and ambitious growth. You will continue and grow our acquisition strategy to ‘recruit’ patients and loved ones to support the organisation.
You will develop and lead a fundraising and stewardship strategy for all of the organisation’s fundraisers and donors giving up to £10k. You will proactively grow our patient fundraising programme by developing a mass recruitment and engagement strategy for the organisation’s patients and staff. You will also develop a loyal supporter base by providing an efficient gold star service to all supporters from the first point of contact, through systems-driven operations.

This role will work collaboratively with colleagues in the communications team, community team, and data and insight.

Purpose of the role
As a member of the Business Support Team, the post holder will work closely with our leads and their teams to understand and support organisational and programme requirements across our diverse and exciting areas of interest.
The post holder will work closely with others to plan, anticipate and deliver high-quality support across a range of NDTi projects and work areas. They will pro-actively contribute to organisational life and maintain NDTi’s reputation for excellence with our clients and stakeholder.
Key Activities
- Liaise and work with leads with confidence, replying to external and internal queries where possible and escalating others as needed. Keep in regular contract with team members ensuring that they, alongside external stakeholders, understand the support the post holder can provide.
- Gather the necessary information to complete key contractual paperwork throughout the project lifecycle, including contract set up and the prompt receipt and processing of client contracts. Work with the Finance Manager and relevant lead to ensure that invoicing schedules and billing particulars are up to date, that client specific activity reporting is completed accurately, and NDTi’s schedule for delivery is maintained.
- Maintain a schedule of project outputs and work to ensure reports, events and other deliverables are planned and delivered on time, liaising with colleagues across other work areas where needed.
- Plan, organise and effectively project manage regular events of both online and residential including at scale.
- Use existing and emerging technologies and established practices to set up and plan events, ensuring prompt co-ordination and confirmation of arrangements with venues, participants and presenters.
- Lead the process for delegate and stakeholder sign up, liaising with leads to ensure good representation and attendance levels are achieved. Work with the lead to ensure any specific requirements, for example, allocation of places and accessibility needs are managed and met.
- With the project coordinator, work to deliver the event on time and within budget. Keep leads updated, alerting them to potential overspend or other issues, such as take up/attendance levels that could impact the success of the event, as they arise.
- Actively update website and other source information about our team, our work, our events and our resources, ensuing they are up-to-date, and are in keeping with in house and project specific branding guidelines.
- Assist the Marketing and Communications Manager and wider team to connect with partners, stakeholders and groups with an interest in NDTi’s work via online platforms.
- Organise and lead on the booking process and internal organisation of CLS Network workshops and other Network-wide meetings.
- To manage all CLS invoicing ensuring data from contracts is transferred to an invoice and ensuring invoices are logged within the database.
- Collect data in relation to attendance across the CLS sites at Network wide events and workshops and provide regular reports to Network members and CLS team members as required.
- Attend large gatherings in person, lead the setting up and liaison with the venue and provide the welcome and any support to participants to ensure they get the most out of the experience.

About the role
The key purpose of the role is to lead the development and delivery of the Trust & Grants Strategy: meeting and/or exceeding income targets, supporting the ongoing development and delivery of strategic objectives and KPIs, ensuring strong stewardship of our existing donor relations and prospecting new opportunities for funding. The Trusts and Grants Team sits within the Philanthropy & Partnership Team in Freedom from Torture's friendly, creative and ambitious Fundraising & Communications Directorate.
You will represent the organisation externally with funders and work internally with colleagues to identify opportunities for funding, in the preparation of proposals and thereafter, reports.
About you
To be successful in this role you must have demonstrable experience of developing and implementing a plan to grow Trust & Grant income, successfully meeting or exceeding fundraising targets from a variety of funders and experience managing relationships with statutory funders and trust and foundations. You will have experience of managing fundraisers and supporting them to manage their priorities and portfolios. You will have experience of measuring and monitoring income and expenditure, and team performance.
It's essential that you have excellent communication skills and can build relationships across the organisation to develop strong fundraising ideas and support engagement with senior staff in building relationships with trusts. You will have experience of managing donor funded grants including review of financial information, preparation of donor reports and donor compliance. You must have experience and knowledge of statutory and grant fundraising research tools and grant writing in the UK charity sector.

We’re currently looking for a Membership & Operations Assistant to join our busy team. Our offices are based on Bedford Row / Theobalds Road in Holborn, London. The role offers some potential for hybrid working after initial training.
The role
As part of our member services team, you will assist with the smooth-running of activities in our London office. We’re looking for a tech-confident person to help with routine membership and database processes. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is required.
The successful candidate will be responsible for fielding incoming calls to the SoA and emails to the info@ email address, as well as updating member records. And as we’re just about to implement a new membership database, you will assist the team with testing and introduction across the organisation. The successful candidate will also be supporting in building management, staff and tenant needs in addition to deputising in the absence of the Head of Operations.

St Mungo’s rebranded in April and the Senior Officer will be key in delivering a programme of work to activate the new brand and ensure that St Mungo’s is top of mind for the public. The role reports to the Assistant Head of Public Engagement (Marketing and Brand), meaning there is lots of room to grow and own strategic projects. The role offers excellent cross-learning opportunities as it sits within a fundraising team and will also work on policy messages and objectives.

We are looking for an Administrator to support our friendly team with day-to-day administrative tasks. Tasks will be varied and flexible depending on current need, some of which are included in the Job Description below. This position is a temporary role to cover a period of maternity leave.
The Forest of Avon Trust is the West of England’s Community Forest, an independent charity and one of a national network of England’s Community Forests. We are growing our work and impact through implementing the Forest of Avon Plan, delivering a multi-million pound tree planting programme ‘Trees for Climate’ as well as delivering many other projects in woodland management, creation, skills, health and wellbeing.

Job Description
Working together with the Forest of Avon Trust CEO and our team you will:
•Arrange internal meetings and take minutes/list of actions for example team meetings, team training days.
•Organise quarterly board meetings, disseminate information to board members and take minutes.•Manage a team calendar of critical dates such as insurance renewals, etc.
•Assist with general finance admin e.g. preparing invoices, making payments, receipts, bank forms and relaying information between the CFO, third parties and the rest of the team.
•Scan and email documents, send out letters, support filing and organising.
•Complete stationary and other supplier orders for the team, organise and book training, etc.
•Office management. including ordering IT equipment and liasing with the landlord and building manager.
•Support CEO and fundraiser in small grants administration.
•Support our communications team with event planning and volunteer support.
•Assist with gathering information for Trees for Climate reporting to Defra, e.g., planting agreements, hectares planted, site photos and maps, proofs of expenditure.
•Fielding initial enquiries, liaising with the Tree Officers on new sites, compiling Trees for Climate landowner agreements and processing claims at the end of the planting season.
•Arranging team wellbeing and social events.
•Recruitment and onboarding of new staff.
•Opportunities to get involved with tree-planting during the winter season, and Health & Wellbeing activities where appropriate.
Essential Criteria
