CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.

We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.

Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.

About the role

It’s been an exciting year for the CoppaFeel! Marketing team; we’ve had a brand refresh, onboarded new agencies, launched award winning campaigns and grown a partnership with Love Island. And it’s all been in the name of our mission; to ensure all breast cancers are diagnosed early and accurately in young people.

We are looking for an exceptional Head of Marketing to lead our Marketing team, help shape the direction of and oversee our 2025 campaign, and collaborate with other Heads of Departments to deliver CoppaFeel!’s three year organisational strategy.

This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office 2 days per week. You will be required to attend the office for quarterly team meetings, department meetings and in person training, we will provide plenty of notice for when you are required to be in for these purposes.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work as a valued part of the CoppaFeel! Leadership team to deliver the organisational strategy, shape the culture and influence cross departmental ways of working.

• Lead the CoppaFeel! Marketing team - setting direction, supporting growth and overseeing performance. 

• Inspire and motivate the personal development of team members. 

• Directly line manage the Marketing Manager, Social Manager and Digital Marketing Manager (subject to change, to be discussed at interview).

• Lead on the delivery of CoppaFeel!’s marketing strategy and management of marketing output across the charity.

• Lead on the delivery of the annual marketing campaign to create award winning, impactful work that raises awareness of CoppaFeel! with our target audience. 

• Manage key third party agency relationships. 

• Oversee and develop audience insights and segmentation. 

• Ownership of the marketing budget and quarterly re-forecasting. 

• Contribute to quarterly all staff team meetings.

• Develop long term partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders both in the breast cancer space and marketing sector that bolster CoppaFeel!’s growth and awareness with young people. 

• Ensure rigorous reporting and analysis of marketing activity to ensure delivery of planned KPIs, with an ambition to be constantly improving and evolving. 

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Essential

• Minimum 5 years experience working in a marketing/brand communications role.

• Demonstrable experience of implementing marketing strategies. 

• A strong track record of delivering multi-platform, integrated awareness campaigns, with an understanding of media planning, creative, PR and social media planning, creative, PR, social.

• A leader with the ability to develop and motivate a multidisciplinary team to achieve high standards. 

• Clear understanding of audience insight, including experience targeting and tailoring campaigns and communications to CoppaFeel!’s 18-24 year old target audience.

• Experience developing and managing strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.

• Budget management. 

• Agency management. 

• Strong negotiation skills. 

• Experienced in tracking and reporting on campaign success against KPIs and ROI.

Desirable

• Knowledge of the challenges / limitations of working in the charity sector.

• Knowledge of planning and buying media vs securing “earned media”/pro-bono partnerships.

• Experience of working for a youth focused brand or charity.

Sounddelivery Media is a dynamic charity that seeks to amplify lived experience stories and expertise to address social inequalities. We work alongside people with direct experience of injustice and inequality to advocate for themselves and their communities.

Our Spokesperson Network constitutes a network of media savvy spokespeople, who have direct experience of social injustices. Developed collaboratively with a network of leaders with lived experience, it aims to diversify the voices we hear in the media and make it more representative of the society we live in. Through training, media mentoring, peer support and speaking opportunities, we tackle the barriers that prevent these experts from engaging with journalists who have the power to influence coverage and ultimately drive change.

Members of our network have spoken on all the major news outlets from BBC Newsnight, BBC Radio Four, ITV News, to the Times, the Guardian, places where they can reach audiences of millions and have influenced documentaries and a storyline for a high profile drama. They’ve become part of policy and advisory conversations: APPGs (All Party Parliamentary Groups), Governmental select committees, speaking at Party Conferences and joining advisory panels.

Our work additionally seeks to support the wider charity sector to develop and amplify lived experience stories and expertise themselves. We work closely with charities to help them develop and train their own panels and spokespeople and are currently facilitating Future Voices, a unique spokesperson training programme for migrant domestic workers in partnership with The Voice of Domestic Workers.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced media communications professional to join and shape a growing, friendly and flexible charity committed to advancing social justice through transforming representation in the media.

Sounddelivery Media is on the lookout for a dynamic individual with great media engagement know-how, a hands-on approach, strong relations with journalists and a passion to address how issues are represented in the media. Join our growing and impactful team working alongside dynamic leaders and their communities addressing social injustice and social inequalities. Our Media and Community Engagement Lead offers a fantastic opportunity to work closely with an incredible network of leaders.

This is a full time role (although we would consider a 4 day week) with 2 days a month minimum working with the team in London.

Role Overview:

You will provide strategic support to our dynamic Spokesperson Network of leaders with direct experience of social injustices, through;

Managing our existing media relationships, and developing new ones, to create opportunities for our network of confident public spokespeople to be visible
This role will enable us to increase the visibility and impact of our programme participants and their communities by engaging with journalists, media professionals, and other influential platforms. You will be responsible for broadening speaking opportunities, such as broadcast interviews, opinion pieces, and identifying potential storyline collaborations across various media outlets. You’ll also seek opportunities to feature our network in public forums like TEDx talks, conferences, and other platforms that influence public conversations.

Empowering Network members through training and support to develop and maximise media opportunities themselves.
In addition to media engagement, you will play a key role in empowering our network to create and share their own content. This includes helping participants build confidence and develop skills in content creation (eg vlogs), and pitching to the media, ensuring their voices reach those in positions to drive meaningful change.

Building trusted relationships with lived experience leaders in a ethical, trauma-aware, and holistic way
You will work closely with our community to activate and strengthen our network, driving collective action and amplifying the important issues they are addressing. Building trusted relationships with lived experience leaders is key, and you will ensure that all engagement is grounded in ethical, trauma-aware, and holistic support.

Sharing knowledge with other charities supporting Spokesperson Networks
You will help share what we learn through our work with other charities and learn from them too. Using peer-led sessions to share best practice, challenges and ideas for charities working to amplify the voices of people with direct experience of social injustice.

As a small but growing charity, this is an exciting opportunity to shape the direction of our organisation alongside a supportive trustee board, a dedicated team of four staff, and a group of skilled freelancers. Your contribution will be integral to our mission and the positive change we aim to create.

-With a background in media relations and/or journalism at a senior level you are someone who cares about the way issues are framed, reported and covered in the media.

What You’ll Be Doing –  Key responsibilities:

-Taking the lead on strategic media engagement across all our programmes of work- maximising and creating media and speaking opportunities for our members

-Nurture and grow our network of journalists, updating them about our work and the issues our networks are speaking on through regular and responsive communications

-Supporting our community to feel confident and prepared for interviews, honing their media messages and accompanying them to interviews where appropriate. 

-Regularly engaging our community and being a sounding board to help to develop their ideas 

-Proactively source longer-term opportunities for the issues our community addresses to be more visible in the public eye this could include building relationships with soap storyliners and documentary makers. 

-Support the team on Sounddelivery Media events that increase the visibility of our community and our work

-Support with delivery of media training and coaching on our programmes. 

-Work with the communications team on content- ensuring messaging is impactful in blogs 

-Participate in our peer-led meetings to share our learning and invite guest speakers to share theirs.

-Contribute insights on our media work for reporting to Funders and Trustees

What skills and experience you’ll have:

Essential

-Experience at a senior level working in media relations within a charity, journalism or similar.

-Significant experience of developing and maintaining good relationships with a range of journalists and media professionals;

-A sharp understanding of what makes a strong story with experience of pitching stories and ideas to journalists

-A confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills 

-IT literate with multimedia experience – video, audio, visual content (or willing to learn)

The newly scoped CEO role in our vision-focussed charity is one of many challenges. Despite having doubled its outputs in the last 2 years, the charity acknowledges there is still a great job of work to do to prepare itself for even greater demand in its services - without necessarily a proportionate increase in its budgets. This role is about leading and enabling the incredible team of people on to even greater levels of already-strong performance. So we're looking for an accomplished leader and not just a great manager. We're looking for someone who can lead from both the front - and from within. This will be someone who is as comfortable sitting and engaging with our beneficiaries - primarily homeless people and those with previous convictions, as they are creating and delivering highly polished, compelling public event and funder and stakeholder-focussed presentations. We are looking for someone who understands the balance of external and internal focus required to ensure both good governance and team wellbeing (as they work in often challenging circumstances) and the ambition to keep developing existing and new external partnerships. With a strong start to its ambitious Corporate Partnership programme, commercial and/or business experience is highly desirable as well as a proven track record in creating and optimising new funding channels.

About Us

The Upper Room (TUR) works with a wide range of financially and socially disadvantaged groups including homeless people, people with long-term mental health conditions, asylum-seekers, refugees and ex-offenders – helping them to improve their lives and become productive members of society. Central to our offering is our UR4Meals service, providing free, home-cooked food to people who cannot afford to provide for themselves. We are also very proud of our UR4Driving programme, which supports people recently out of prison with free driving lessons in exchange for community volunteering. Gaining a driving licence greatly enhances their future employability prospects and helps break the cycle of re-offending. Additionally, our UR4Jobs project focusses on both client wellbeing and breaking down the many barriers to employment faced by disadvantaged people every day.

The role

Is leading the charity through its next phases of development as it prepares itself for year on year increases in demand with a focus on delivering the charity’s future resilience plan (Project 12/25). The CEO is accountable for overall charity performance (financial, operational, governance, compliance), team (paid and volunteer) support and development. Additionally, there are a wide range of community and external partner relationships to manage and develop. Ultimately this role sets the tone for the charity, one of both compassion and ambition to improve the lives of the people who need us. This is primarily an on-site role, with occasional opportunity to work flexibly.

About You

You have a stable CV that demonstrates you have built and led successful teams and enabled growth and/or transformation for your organisation – ideally in an equivalent charity/non-profit environment. You can evidence strong team leadership and results across a wide range of business functions which will need to include income generation, managing budgets and business operations. You live within - or know well, West/Central London, are passionate about improving the lives of disadvantaged and vulnerable people and can lead multi-functional teams through a blend of 121 coaching, training and ensuring a ‘we can do this’ culture across the charity. You are an accomplished and visionary public speaker and presenter, able to articulate both the journey we’re undertaking and the support/input we need to get there.

Contract Type: Full-time, permanent, 35 hours per week

Location: Hybrid (2-3 days per week in the London office)

The Role

Future Advocacy is seeking a Senior Consultant in Advocacy, Campaigns, Communications and Research. ABOUT THE ROLE

Lambeth Palace is the London home of the Archbishop of Canterbury, his family and two religious communities. It is the centre of his ministry, worship and hospitality.

The staff members at Lambeth Palace work as a small and close-knit team and support each other during busy periods with flexibility and good humour. You will be responsible for supporting the Chaplain to the Archbishop of Canterbury at an Executive Assistant level. This post gives an excellent opportunity of working in a small, friendly, busy office, in unusual and pleasant surroundings.

The role of the Chaplain at Lambeth Palace is to support the ministry to which God has called the Archbishop. This involves a wide variety of tasks, much of it behind the scenes. The Chaplain carries responsibility for pastoral and liturgical dimensions of the Archbishop's ministry in the Church of England, his speaking, publishing and award-giving commitments while leading on the Archbishop's first priority of the renewal of prayer and religious life.

He/she is also responsible for the pastoral care of those who work and/or live at Lambeth Palace - the 'community of communities' and the regular pattern of worship in its two chapels, in liaison with Chemin Neuf. He/she is also responsible on behalf of the Archbishop for liaison with the recently-founded Community of St Anselm.

Core Responsibilities

• Being aware and helping to deliver the Chaplain's objectives and views, and communicating these to external and internal parties, as well as maintaining discretion and confidentiality where necessary.
• Managing and prioritising communications with the Chaplain, whether by phone, e-mail, letter or in person, enabling him/her to achieve their objectives while ensuring timely responses.
• Dealing with the Chaplain's correspondence, including drafting replies to letters and emails, and where appropriate replying on their behalf. In addition to drafting briefs for the Archbishop's official engagements for which the Chaplain carries responsibility.
• Managing the Chaplain's diary, including booking rooms and offering hospitality where appropriate, and making travel arrangements.
• Organising the Chaplain's expenses and drafting budgets for the team.
• Receiving and greeting visitors, as required, on behalf of both the Chaplain and the Archbishop.

Key Requirements

• The role is primarily office based, however, there is some flexibility to all to allow for a degree of home working, specifically when there are no internal or external face-to-face meetings. This can be discussed once you have been appointed to the post.
• A basic DBS check will be required as part of our pre-employment checks.

General Statement of Duties

The St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital has a loyal donor base, and we are now able to grow the major donor portfolio significantly to build our long-term sustainable income.  The Grants & Partnerships Officer will lead on delivering a best-practice grant-giving programme as part of a wider major donor programme.

Alongside the Executive Head of the UK Office, the Grants & Partnerships Officer will develop new major donors prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies as part of a wider fundraising strategy.

This is a key role within a small and dedicated team.  The successful candidate will have a professional, ambitious, solutions-based approach with a track record of fundraising success. They will be ready for and excited by the challenge of building up a major donor programme.

Main Responsibilities

To deliver a successful grant-giving programme and devise and deliver new prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to meet agreed targets, including:

· Establishing and managing strong relationships with past, current and prospective grant-giving organisations, delivering the highest possible levels of care and attention.

· Understanding all prospective and current donor profiles, and their motivations and communication styles.  Formulating personalised cultivation and stewardship plans.

· Set up and maintain regular communications with all grant-giving donors and prospects, tailoring this as required to strengthen their relationship with us.  

· Support and facilitate the Trustees and Senior Leadership Team in developing relationships with grant-giving bodies and prospects, and in how to manage these relationships to facilitate donations.

· Support and deputise for the Fundraising Officer (Community Fundraising), as required, to establish and manage strong relationships with past, current, and prospective community donors and partners, delivering the highest possible levels of care and attention.

· Provide project support as required to the Fundraising Officer (Community Fundraising) to ensure the successful implementation of community engagement and fundraising programmes.

Person Specification

Essential:

· Educated to degree level or equivalent career experience.

· Minimum of 3-years’ fundraising experience with a demonstrable track record of developing stakeholder and donor relationships with a responsibility for securing a minimum of six-figure gifts from grant-making bodies.

· Experience of working with high-value Trusts & Foundations.

· An exceptional and eloquent communicator, both written and verbal communications skills, and a natural relationship builder, you will have solid experience of presenting, negotiating, networking, and influencing.

· Experience of working to and commitment to achieving financial targets.

· Understanding of the principles and best practice of fundraising including Data Protection, ideally within humanitarian and/or international organisations.  

·A self-starter with initiative, confidence, exacting standards, drive, and flexibility.

· Highly proficient with Microsoft Office systems.

· Ability to work outside of contracted hours, as required.

· Ability to travel overseas, as required, and represent SJEHG at events and functions.

Desirable:

· Experience of raising funds within the humanitarian and/or international organisations.

· Experience of working with a CRM system to export and manipulate complex data sets, segment audiences effectively and develop a CRM strategy for donor engagement and reporting. Ideally, Raiser’s Edge.
