Growing Younger Team Roles – Mission Enabler (Children)
The Diocese of Durham is seeking proactive, dynamic and pioneering individuals with a passion for reaching and discipling emerging generations to be part of our new Growing Younger team of Mission Enablers.
The Growing Younger team will work collaboratively and creatively to enable the delivery of the Growing Younger stream of the Diocesan Transformation programme, with a specific focus on building mission and discipleship pathways for 0-25s, growing missional chaplaincy in FE colleges and schools, and raising up new youth and children’s leaders.
The successful candidates will each have a focused area of work (children, youth, young adults) and will work both individually and collectively to support the development and implementation of local mission initiatives, spending a substantial proportion of their time in parishes and deaneries to raise local aspirations, grow local vision and strategy, increase local capacity and pioneer local mission.

Working Well Trust is a specialist employment charity in London. We are recruiting for a Peer Employment Worker to join the Tower Hamlets Mental Health Employment Service.
Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training around employment support and in supporting people with mental health issues. As this is a Peer role applicants must have lived experience of mental health, either personally or through a close contact.
You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. You must be willing to share your experience of mental health and employment to support clients to address their concerns about employment and to support them to develop strategies to support them sustaining work. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in mental health, and the role it plays in the workplace. Experience of pre-employment support such as CV and application writing, and interview practice is desirable.
The role we are recruiting for is as follows:
One Full Time: 35 hours per week - we offer flexible working which for this role is three days on site in our office in Bethnal Green and two days working from home.
You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences, to access training, education and volunteering opportunities. You will use a client led/person centred support approach.
You will also be working to targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service.

About the Role
As Principal Consultant in the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) portfolio, you will be critical in expanding and enhancing the portfolio’s work. This will include developing bids for evaluations and other contracts, leading the delivery of evaluation contracts and growing the network and reputation of SDDirect. The Principal Consultant will be expected to apply feminist values and gender equality, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI) technical expertise to the design and delivery of complex and multi-country evaluations. Summary of role
Reports to: Head of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Portfolio
Direct reports: Up to 3 reportees.
Location: UK-based candidates must be eligible to work in the UK upon appointment. SDDirect's Head Office is located in Old Street, London. We operate a hybrid working model with flexibility on the frequency of office visits, which can be discussed further during the recruitment process.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Principal Consultant in the MEL Portfolio, you will focus on providing technical and thought leadership in feminist evaluation. You will lead complex, multi-country and mixed-methods evaluations, which will focus on GEDSI as it relates to one of our SDDirect portfolios. You may also be involved in designing and delivering research across our other portfolios. In addition to delivery, you will also be involved in winning new work, leading evaluation, research or MEL bid development and raising SDDirect’s external profile and reputation.
Technical Design, Delivery & Leadership
· Design and deliver a range of mixed-methods evaluations, often in shifting and unpredictable contexts, including impact, formative, summative or process evaluations with a GEDSI focus. This will include the design of the approach, data collection tools and methodologies (surveys, interviews, focus group discussions, workshops, etc.) and analysis of the data collected.
· Support the development of SDDirect’s body of knowledge and practice on feminist evaluation, staying up to date with current thinking on models, methods, good practice and relevant debates.
· Provide leadership to SDDirect contracts as relevant, including project management responsibilities, client liaison, and support to and technical leadership of consultancy teams.
· To use negotiation and diplomacy skills and to confidently manage challenging conversations.
· To ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, to high-quality standards, and in keeping with SDDirect’s ethics and ethos.

Raising SDDirect’s Profile
· To establish and maintain close relationships and effective networks with our clients, partners and consultants, drawing on their own professional networks.
· To represent SDDirect at meetings, conferences and on social media and ensure that SDDirect’s work on GEDSI and evaluation is disseminated and profiled externally in a clear and accessible way, especially with key fora in the MEL sector.
· To provide internal thought leadership and professional development activities on MEL, raising the capacity of other staff on MEL.
Business Development
To contribute to the growth of SDDirect’s portfolio of work in this technical area, through:
· Identifying areas of growth and new business opportunities through close and direct contact with clients, potential clients, partners, potential partners, in-house staff and external consultants.
· Supporting the Business Development Team in identifying relevant opportunities to expand the portfolio and pipeline.
· Act as technical lead on MEL bids, bringing a rigorous understanding of evaluation design and GEDSI relevant analytical frameworks for relevant bids and proposals to clients.
· Engaging with and influencing emerging opportunities and delivery concepts and ensuring SDDirect’s MEL offering is responsive to market requirements and aligns with SDDirect’s equitable partnership principles.

Organising, supporting and delivering skills sessions, partner events, university trips, both in person and virtually across SMF cities and other parts of the UK.

It’s a hugely exciting time for the Charity, with the appointment of a new CEO and Director of Income & Engagement to lead an ambitious period of growth. The Head of Individual Giving will provide strategic leadership to the Individual Giving team and leading a programme set to raise £4.1m this year. Key duties include:
- Develop and deliver a multi-year IG strategy to grow the active donor base, maximising long term sustainable income from all individual giving income streams.
- Oversee and optimise the prestigious BBC Radio 4 Christmas Appeal for donor acquisition and development, as well as leading on the diversification of supporter engagement outside of this appeal period.
- Take an active role in contributing to the development of the Charity’s wider Income Generation and Engagement Strategy, ensuring a seamless approach to lifetime supporter engagement. This includes working proactively with the wider team to develop and refine an engaging case for support to represent the Charity’s programmes authentically.
- Manage an experienced team of 3 direct reports, leading on the development of an optimal team structure and ethos to hit ambitious income targets.
- Develop the legacy strategy including case for support, stewardship and marketing plans to engage both known and unknown supporters including members, philanthropists, financial supporters, followers and advocates.

Main Responsibilities
1. Achieving Results

Organising, supporting and delivering skills sessions, partner events, university trips, both in person and virtually across SMF cities and other parts of the UK.

Coordinating logistics for virtual and in-person events, including content creation, securing venues and speakers, producing webinars and video calls, advertising events, collating attendee lists and compiling feedback/evaluation

Coordinating logistics of 6F/S5-6 and undergraduate internships, including but not limited to, internship advertising and student selection, liaising with students and employers throughout internship delivery, and compiling student feedback/evaluation

Collaborating with SMF STAR Support partners to support the young people on our programme in their applications for internships and graduate roles

Assisting with the organisation and delivery of in-person residential programmes for students from across the country

Who are we looking for?
- This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Service Lead to manage and lead a team of Support Workers to deliver high quality, effective supported housing services and housing management services to a range of service user groups (including those on Bail, prison leavers and those going through the criminal justice system) that meet their needs, contractual requirements, and organisational financial target

Salary: £70,000 - 75,000 per annum pro rata
