This new role is vital to improving grants management and supporting the growing research portfolio. In this role, you will manage the entire grant application process, from launching funding schemes to overseeing existing grants. As the main contact for applicants, you’ll guide them through the assessment process, ensuring fairness and transparency. You'll also support the Scientific Advisory Panel by organising meetings, preparing materials, and capturing feedback to align research investments with their goals.

Additionally, you will represent the Charity at external events, build relationships in the research community, and help develop their new online grants management system. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow within a dedicated team, playing a crucial role in the fight against childhood cancer.
 
The ideal candidate will have a degree in a scientific or medical discipline with knowledge of the UK medical landscape. They should be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiar with research management software like Flexi Grant. Experience in grants management, including pre- and post-grant administration, is essential, along with an understanding of the scientific peer review process. Strong organisational, time management, and communication skills are crucial, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team and effectively with senior academics. Experience in developing grants management systems, event management, and stakeholder relationship management is desirable.

About the role

The PCN Wellbeing Advisor will work across all surgeries within their allocated PCN and within the wellbeing service for training, support and supervision.

The PCN Wellbeing Advisor will be responsible for looking after their own case load. Providing support through 1-1 skills based work that will enable people to better manage their own low level mental health issue in the longer term. Good It skills are needed as recording and sharing appropriate data for the requirements of both Solent Mind and the PCN will be required.

There will be a full training and induction package for this post.

About you  

You will need to have a good understanding of a mental health issue, as well as experience of working with people with mental health needs, excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of the key difficulties and challenges faced by people on their recovery journey. Good It skills are needed as recording and sharing appropriate data for the requirements of both Solent Mind and the PCN will be required.

Job Summary:

The Head of Product is a new role within Anthony Nolan, with the objective of leading product management activity through business analysis by ways of leadership. Development is run through an iterative and agile approach, transforming manual and complex processes to optimize the way we work. Another key part of this position will be playing a role in strategic decision making within the Technology divisions leadership team, and collaborating with the leadership team on divisional direction, as well as working closely to key internal stakeholders outside of the division.

Essential Attributes:

• A deep and varied experience of product management and business
analysis (preferably with some experience in healthcare and/or charity

Soteria London is a Community Interest Company (CIC) whose mission is to create compassionate alternatives for individuals experiencing crisis and distress, especially for those experiencing altered states, often called psychosis,  and their families and social networks. We are part of a larger network in the UK and abroad, which promotes the Soteria model of personal relationships, interactive activities and communities with the minimal use of psychiatric medication within a comfortable “living community” as opposed to a conventional psychiatric setting.

We are looking for a  part-time Community Development Worker to help grow supportive communities for people experiencing altered states, often called psychosis, and their families and social networks. in North London with a specific focus on Haringey/Camden/Islington. The role will focus on mapping and building neighbourhood communities that offer kinder alternatives to mainstream services,  and will involve working closely with individuals, their families and social networks.

We are planning to submit a bid in April 2025 for a 24/7 Community Mental Health Pilot as set out in the NHS England invitation and the Community Development Worker will play a key role in growing partnerships and facilitating the community led development of this bid. The successful candidate will employ compassionate, empowering, and community-centred social justice approaches that address racial, gender, and class inequities.

The freelance role include:

● Creating inclusive communities of support, that value diversity and cultural sensitivity, to support people in crisis and distress, especially people experiencing altered states, often called psychosis, and their families and social networks, with a focus on Haringey/Camden/Islington

● Building new and strengthening existing relationships with like-minded individuals and organisations

● Setting up a Soteria supportive central hub or community space to facilitate activities and collaborations

● Help people find their voice through creative, artistic and well-being and somatic initiatives, such as our "Soteria in the Pub" program and body work sessions.

• Handle incoming enquiries and provide accurate, timely and appropriate responses, briefing journalists in line with RCS England key messages and priorities.

We are looking for a GP with experience of providing healthcare to excluded groups outside of regular healthcare settings to play a key clinical role in the development and delivery of services that will support equal access to primary medical services for people seeking asylum in contingency accommodation in Northeast London and delivery of primary care within a HIV outreach project. The outreach services will offer initial health and social assessments, urgent care, and will facilitate GP registration and, and support access to wider healthcare and support services within the area through direct referrals and signposting, and coordination with other local services and partners. We also will deliver HIV support and testing services including clinical consultation to those not registered with a GP.

You will lead by example, with your demonstrable experience delivering person-centred, compassionate care to people seeking asylum or other excluded community, as well as deploying your effective advocacy, coordination, and multi-tasking skills. The role requires emotional agility, and resilience, especially when dealing with complex situations such as mental health crises, trafficking, and homelessness, where you will draw on your experience to manage complex situations calmly and compassionately. The role will build and manage influential relationships across the UK Government and other partners and lead on key influencing processes and moments, including Global Summits, in meaningful partnership with young people. Your work will include collaboration within our dynamic and agile Policy, Campaigns and Youth team, as well as across the organisation and the wider International Plan Federation.

You’ll be a strategic and political thinker, bringing experience of leading or delivering successful policy and advocacy strategies, with an understanding of the UK Government and their policy processes, as well as on the tactics and approaches required to influence them. With strong project coordination skills, you’ll be a champion for partnership with young people, and feel confident to build on your expertise in managing key relationships, including within senior government. Your well-developed research and analysis skills means you are equipped to produce evidence-based and influential policy positions, alongside communications to a wide range of audiences.

Who will I be changing the lives of?

All of our learners have an Educational, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and as a result all have some level of additional need.  Some of the most common areas of need that we see are Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH), Autism (ASC), ADHD although we work with learners with a much broader range of needs. 

Main Responsibilities

• Responsible for the planning and delivery of Functional Skills Maths and/or English.
• To deliver and implement teaching and learning practices to raise student standards and progress
• To develop and deliver high quality teaching materials and schemes of learning that keep students engaged using creativity, differentiation and extension tasks
• Plan effectively to ensure pupils have the opportunity to meet their potential, taking account of the needs of pupils who are underachieving, those that are able and those that are excelling in Maths  or English
• To meet the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and in collaboration with the SENCO to prepare, implement, monitor and review Individual Educational Packages.
• To provide a high-quality student experience that enables students to succeed beyond their expectations
• Promote Inclusion best practice and contribute to the aims and ethos of the college
• Working with students from Pre-Entry to Level 2
• Responsible for comprehensive marking and written and verbal feedback for students
• Working in conjunction with the Outstanding and Good criteria for OFSTED
• To participate in weekly group engagement activities such as bowling, nature walks, climbing, graffiti workshops etc to ensure you build a strong rapport with all students.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for Advocates to join our team covering Fife and the surrounding area. You will be involved in one-to-one advocacy along with group work across the area; this could be in a clients’ home, hospital, care homes or other suitable community venues and be home based for administrative tasks.  Therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection is essential. 

This is a full time role for 35 hours per week, applicants who do not hold the Level 2 Award in Independent Advocacy will start on £22,500 per annum.
