Role Requirements

As part of the site services team the role holder will be expected to liaise with managers and staff across the Trust. The role holder is expected to work closely with the other members of the facilities team and assist in covering in the laundry, in the deep clean team or other works as and when required.

Site wide general housekeeping service – ensure that the housekeeping services is of an acceptable level and is consistent across site.

• Carry out a cleaning service in allocated buildings/rooms/areas ensuring that daily tasks are completed according to the standard operating procedures in relation to the cleanliness/hygiene standards.
• Follow infection control procedures whenever carrying out duties and ensure procedures are followed should there be an infection control outbreak.
• Liaise with the Housekeeping Supervisor and House Staff on a daily basis – carrying out special requests in relation to Housekeeping.
• Ensure safe storage of cleaning materials and equipment and sufficient stock is maintained – informing the Housekeeping Supervisor of stock requiring ordering.
• Assist in the cleaning of communal areas on a daily basis and cleaning of carpets, curtains, and high dusting on a rotating schedule.
• Ensure that any repairs required to fixtures and fittings are reported to the designated Facilities Helpdesk as soon as possible and any issues are reported to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Assist in routine housekeeping audits as outlined in the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and ensure any works are to agreed service levels.
• Prioritise work to complete assignments in a timely manner.
• Assist other members of the Site Services and Facilities teams as required.
• Undertake other or additional duties that are within your skills and abilities, as the organisation may reasonably require from time to time.

The team is looking for someone to join as a Legacy & In Memory Fundraising Assistant. As part of this role, you will provide care and cultivation of In Memory donors, Legacy pledgers and enquirers by acting as first point of contact for these supporters and delivering ongoing one-to-one stewardship across various touchpoints. As part of the Legacy & In Memory Fundraising Team, you will contribute to achieving the team's aims and objectives through undertaking key administrative tasks and assisting with the delivery of the team’s projects including marketing campaigns, supporter events and internal promotion of messages to a range of audiences and stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate with a range of internal and external audiences, a high standard of computer literacy, and a passion for delivering excellent supporter care.

About the Housing and Homelessness Programme
Oak Foundation’s Housing and Homelessness Programme is a grant-making programme that supports organisations to end homelessness and create housing opportunities. The programme funds projects across the UK and US. In additional to national projects, it also funds within the geographic locations prioritised in its current strategy. These locations are London, Bristol, the West Midlands, Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland, New York, Boston, and Philadelphia. 

With an annual budget of over USD 30 million, the programme makes 37 new multi-year grants annually; in addition, the programme maintains strong connections with existing grantee partners, sharing learning and opportunities. The programme has three strategic priorities: renter rights, supply and access to genuinely affordable and decent homes, and reduction and prevention of homelessness. The programme has a deep commitment to supporting social justice, racial equity, and the voices of people with lived experience. We fund organisations that: demonstrate a strong understanding of the experiences of people facing homelessness; and have evidence that their work is rooted in solutions that people closest to the problem have identified.   

We know that homelessness and housing problems disproportionately and unfairly affect sections of our community, and so we seek to support projects that address this. This includes: women; people from black, Asian and minority ethnic communities; people with disabilities; and LGBTQI communities.

About the role
The Housing and Homelessness Programme is currently made up of a programme director, five programme officers, and one programme associate, all of whom are based in our London office. We are looking for a highly organised individual, with the ability to juggle a variety of tasks at the same time. They will be able to undertake research on housing and homelessness issues to inform our grant-making choices, conduct analyses of our existing portfolio, and oversee some of our monitoring and evaluation processes, while also providing administrative support to the programme director, such as organising meetings and maintaining our grant-making database.  They will need to be a self-starter with the confidence to work both independently and part of a team. The position also provides administrative support to the Oak London office and serves as back-up to the office manager.

Main responsibilities

•  Managing the grant-making project management system and monitoring the grant-making budget.
• Taking a substantial role in implementing our monitoring, learning, and evaluation strategy, overseeing the regular analysis of our grant-making portfolio, and reviewing outcomes/learning and regularly presenting these to the whole team.
• Conducting research on housing issues as well as potential new partners, as directed by the programme director. This will include keeping abreast of relevant policy issues, and reading and summarising external reports for the benefit of the programme team and our grant-making portfolio.
• Contributing to the design, implementation, and regular review of the programme strategy.
•  Substantially contributing to the programme’s communications, including ensuring a communications plan is developed and implemented annually, drafting and formatting content for newsletters, internal reports, presentations, and social media.
• Coordinating and connecting regularly with grantee partners to gather evidence, publications, and multi-media for communications, monitoring, learning, and evaluation purposes.
• Performing a liaison function between Oak’s IT team, and managing the programme’s IT infrastructure (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, grant-making database, and Outlook).
• Under supervision, managing a small portfolio of grants, as required, and performing regular contact with grantee partners.
• Supporting programme officers by developing grants and writing progress reports for existing grant partners.
• Contributing to Oak-wide working groups.
• Supporting the programme with internal and external meetings and partner expert convenings.
• Providing a range of administrative support for the programme director, including the management of their diary, and the organisation of events, roundtables, and occasional support with travel organisation.
• Performing all other relevant duties that may be assigned from time to time, including administrative support as directed by the programme director. This includes:
  • processing invoices and managing publication subscriptions
  • setting up the office for newcomers in the HHP team: arranging desks, IT devices, stationery etc; and
  • performing reception duties, including meeting and greeting visitors for the HHP programme;
• Providing administrative support to the London office, as required, including for meetings or special events or as back-up to other offices and/or Trustees.

Position requirements

• University degree preferred but not essential
• 3-5 years’ demonstrable experience of working for a not-for-profit organisation or development organisation, ideally in a housing and homelessness policy and research.
• Highly organised and able to juggle a wide range of responsibilities that may demand ongoing reprioritisation.
• Experience of using social media for research and communications.
• Demonstrable experience and confidence in all Microsoft applications, including Excel, PowerPoint and Teams. Additional database experience (preferably Salesforce) is an asset.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to write for a range of different audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated openness and capacity to learn quickly.
• Confidence and presence to conduct meetings with high profile external audiences.
• A commitment to Oak’s organisational values.

Job Purpose  

To maximise income for Village Water’s work from corporates (UK and International) & to develop and manage your own portfolio of existing corporates and research and prioritise new opportunities ensuring high quality stewardship to secure ongoing support. This role will focus on networking, delivering compelling pitches to corporates, organise and support corporate fundraising events, preparing high-quality funding applications and reports, providing exceptional account management, and fostering cross-team collaboration. 

Responsibilities  

Corporate Fundraising 

• Develop, implement, and sustain a dynamic corporate fundraising portfolio, maintaining a well-organised pipeline of funding opportunities. 

• Attend and contribute to networking events, while actively organising events to foster relationships with new and existing corporate donors. 

• Identify and pursue corporate funding opportunities by aligning proposals with companies' ESG policies, emphasising shared values and potential partnerships. 

• Establish and nurture relationships with Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) to unlock new support avenues. 

• Work closely with colleagues to develop compelling proposals and reports that effectively communicate the organisation's impact and funding needs. 

• Coordinate with monitoring and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting to donors, adhering to grant conditions and budget requirements. 

• Maintain precise and well-managed donor information in the organisation’s database to facilitate efficient tracking and follow-up. 

• Organise pop-up events for and with corporate partners to enhance engagement and visibility. 

• Support fundraising team with social media content ideas that highlight our activities and showcases the impact. 

General   

• Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, external suppliers, and local partners to advance organisational goals. 

• Participate in and report during weekly team meetings and, when necessary, at Trustee meetings. 

• Provide assistance for other fundraising initiatives as needed, promoting a collaborative work environment and supporting the overall fundraising efforts of the organisation. 

• Ensure compliance with the organisation's safeguarding policies by completing all required training. 

Skills and experience: 

• Demonstrated ability to secure funds from new corporate partners, with experience in winning awards exceeding £10,000. 

• Confident and skilled in delivering presentations to a diverse range of supporters, whether in groups, individually, in person, or remotely. 

• Proven experience in crafting persuasive cases for support and donor updates that motivate giving. 

• Expertise in building and maintaining strong donor relationships to ensure sustained support. 

• Strong writing skills for creating compelling cases for support and effectively presenting the organisation’s work to potential donors. 

• Ability to develop, analyse, and interpret budgets and financial information. 

• Proficient in using databases for fundraising performance analysis.

Citizens Advice Merton and Lambeth (CAML) is the leading advice charity supporting individuals and families across the London boroughs of Lambeth, Merton but also wider London. We provide a range of information, support and advice services. We also work to raise awareness and understanding of the challenging issues affecting our clients and communities.

Owing to charity expansion, we are looking for experienced, accredited Advisers to provide comprehensive advice and support to clients. If you have at least one year’s experience of working in an advice support organisation, are passionate about supporting individuals and families in need and interested in joining a dedicated, professional team we would love to hear from you.

The successful candidates will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work flexibly with clients and for the charity. You will be meticulous in your work, especially when supporting clients and maintaining case records for continuity of follow up advice and casework. You will also be very well informed with regard to legislation, case law and policy changes relating to advice and benefits.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive advice in all generalist subject areas including welfare benefits, debt and income maximisation, in line with Citizens Advice requirements.

• Commit to ongoing training/development as requested by the charity

• Use your interpersonal skills to explore, listen and understand complex problems as they affect each individual and tailor your approach to advice accordingly

• Provide a clear plan of action and follow-up on actions relating to cases as appropriate

• Identify and escalate serious problems, including safeguarding, appropriately

• Ability to work to own initiative within a team environment. Work closely with service colleagues and wider CAML team

• Support clients in CAML offices and outreach venues

Monitoring Quality and Case Recording

• Ensure all client engagement and support is comprehensively and accurately recorded

• Review your work, and monitor quality standards, as per the Citizens Advice quality framework

• Ensure data protections regulations are adhered and office procedures followed

• Work with your line manager and senior managers to develop and improve services, and your own standards.

Purpose of the role

The role will develop our fundraising strategy for the charity and manage Surrey Coalition of Disabled People’s fundraising activity including community grants, individual, corporate and legacy fundraising.

THE ROLE

SCI is based in central London and is looking to appoint a Front of House Receptionist to be the main point of contact for visitors to the building. The role will sit within the Premises team and is responsible for managing the reception desk, ensuring a high level of service is provided to visitors to the building, and dealing with venue hire queries. We are looking for an energetic, professional and presentable team player, with excellent communication and customer management skills, and who associates with the objectives of SCI. The role also provides administrative support for the CEO’s PA on an as required basis.

The SCI building is a grade 1 listed building based in the prestigious area of Belgravia, which houses tenants and provides conference facilities for external clients. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build experience in running a venue in a prime location.

SCI has a small and friendly team based in office. Flexibility and willingness to work with the wider team to achieve SCI’s objectives is crucial. Due to the nature of this role, it is office-based and candidates must be living in London.

About NUM: 

National Ugly Mugs (NUM) is an award-winning charity with a mission to ‘end all forms of violence against sex workers.’ NUM provides a mechanism for sex industry workers to report crimes and harm they experience and share this information within their communities to warn others of potentially dangerous individuals and situations.

We have a dedicated casework team of industry experts who support sex workers to further access criminal justice remedies and other services as determined by victims/survivors to cope and recover from crimes they experience in the ways they choose. We also host a range of other projects in racial justice, mental health, drop-in support (Scotland), and vocational exploration.

About the Team:

The NUM Case Work Team NUM’s mandate is to ‘end all forms of violence against sex workers’ and operates under three key principles: Sex Workers’ First, Quality Support, and Learning and Innovation. The NUM Case Work team offers victim support to prevent and heal from violence to adults of all genders involved in sex industries. The postholder will provide support to NUM members and non-members who identify as having experienced harm and violence during their work. Services are provided digitally and online, and in-person services.

The post is part of a unique partnership between National Ugly Mugs, POW (Nottingham) and Basis Yorkshire, to ensure more specialist support for sex workers who have experienced sexual violence, to develop good practice guidelines, and to develop and share learning that will influence change in health inclusion for sex workers. Each organisation will be employing a SWISVA; the program will be led by a Program Coordinator, who will be based with Basis Yorkshire, who will lead on policy development work.

Person Specification:

A successful candidate should have the following experience:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with women who face barriers to accessing support services such as health housing and the criminal justice
• Experience and understanding of working in accordance to core safeguarding legislation to support victims of sexual violence
• Experience of supporting sex workers
• Experience of multi-agency partnership working including with partners such as the police and SARC
• Experience of working in a complex environment, actively managing risk and following case management procedures to meet the needs of a diverse and vulnerable client group
