We are seeking an entusiastic and caring Operations Officer who will be responsible for the day-to-day operational activitites of the organisation focused on patient support and project delivery. The role will involve a close working relationship with our Fundraising and Events Officer, and our Board of Trustees, and will be a pivotal role within our small but mighty organisation. This is an exciting role working directly with multiple stakeholders including our beneficiaries, NHS and scientific collaborators and funders to deliver our values and benefit. As a member of the Process and Administration Team (PAT)  at Libraries Connected, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and cohesive administrative support for the organisation. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting new initiatives such as a potential leadership development programme, the development of online learning modules, the creation of a Futures Lab and Data Observatory, and managing tender bids for new commercial contracts. Additionally, you will have broader responsibilities across the organisation, including finance processing, development and maintenance of organisational systems, and the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities beyond your primary role.

Projects and Commercial Administrator will help deliver our portfolio of projects and programmes, the role will specifically include:

• Supporting the development and delivery of our workforce development strategy including:
  • Our EDI strategy for our organisation and library sector
  • A peer mentoring scheme for heads of library service
  • A leadership development programme
  • Development of our online learning modules
• Supporting the development of our new Futures Lab and Data Observatory
• Support new Commercial Contracts from bid stage through mobilisation and into delivery

Libraries Connected has established a Process and Administration Team (PAT) whose role is to ensure that the Libraries Connected staff receive efficient and cohesive administrative support, and that resilience is built into the administrative processes in terms of knowledge sharing, process documentation and consistency. As a member of the Process and Administration team, this role will also have broader responsibilities across the organisation including supporting finance processing, development and maintenance of organisational systems, and the opportunities to work across a range of activities alongside the primary role. 

Main purpose:

• Main activities for the role will include working with the Project and Commercial Managers to:
  • Schedule and organise meetings and events, including venue booking, catering, delegate lists as required
  • To provide technical support for online webinars and meetings
  • Provide secretarial support including managing and circulating meetings papers and taking minutes and updating action logs
  • Support management of project budgets and associated finance systems including raising invoices and reconciliation
  • To support project and contract reporting including collation of relevant data.
  • To efficiently manage and organise documentation and relevant data to provide clear audit trails and support reporting and evaluation of events, awards, and training
  • Manage travel and accommodation bookings
  • Answer queries from members and project partners
  • Conduct research into library sector activity, or how to improve our systems and processes, and write options papers
• To work within the PAT function to manage cross organisational administration, including:
  • Managing the shared mailboxes
  • Finance transaction processing 
  • Organising team meetings 
  • Collaborating to developing systems and processes as required

Key relationships

• Reports to the Project Manager and works with them to provide high-quality project management.
• Works with the Commercial Manager and the wider Commercial Team to help secure and deliver contracts and services
• Works directly with library teams to support the setup and delivery of the contracts
• Works with the finance team and Process and Administration Team (PAT) to ensure financial processes are followed and provide support as needed
• Works with PAT to support organisational processes
• Supports the Libraries Connected Leadership Team

Childhood Cancer International (CCI) is a global association made up of  parent, survivor and civil organisations dedicated to improving the lives of children and adolescents with cancer, along with their families. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced International Fundraiser to join our team. This position will play a crucial role in securing international grants and funding to support our programmes and initiatives around the world. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, particularly in successfully obtaining international grants and securing funding from diverse sources.

Base: International Scope, Home-based (with preference to individual based in upper-middle or high income country), with occasional travel.

Responsibilities:

1. Research and Identify Funding Opportunities

• Conduct thorough research to identify international grant opportunities, funding agencies/foundations/institutions and other potential donors.

• Monitor international grant databases, donor directories, and relevant funding portals to stay updated on available funding opportunities.

• Evaluate eligibility criteria, guidelines and application requirements of potential grants and funding sources

2. Grant Proposal Development

• With the ED and the CCI Board (and in collaboration with the global Programme Manager) to develop targeted and compelling grant proposals, ensuring alignment with the organisation's strategic goals.

• Prepare high-quality proposals/grant applications, including budgets, project narratives, monitoring framework for impact assessments, and any additional documentation required.

• Tailor proposals to meet the specific requirements and expectations of each funding opportunity.

3. Relationship Building and Networking

• Cultivate relationships with international funding agencies, philanthropic organisations, corporate partners, and other potential global donors to expand CCI's network and funding base.

• With the ED, identify and create new relationships with high net-worth individuals to expand CCI's funding base. 

• Utilize networks, platforms and other avenues to enhance the CCI brand and increase our network and relationships towards attracting potential donors.

• Assist the ED in developing an effective fundraising strategy aligned with CCI's strategic plan.

• If and when required, attend conferences, workshops, and fundraising events to build connections, to identify and develop funding opportunities.

• With ED, maintain regular communication with existing donors, keeping them informed about CCI's progress and impact.

4. Grant Management and Reporting

• Ensure compliance with grant agreements, including tracking deliverables, reporting deadlines, and financial requirements.

• Work closely with ED and CCI members to provide accurate and timely progress reports to donors.

• With the ED, maintain records of grants, funding applications, and donor interactions. 

5. Marketing 

• With the ED, evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and communication techniques and assist in make necessary adjustments.

• Reach a greater number of supporters and donors through innovative marketing strategies; including, with the ED, the creation of new and innovative fundraising campaigns, or the linking of current events and campaigns to fundraising outcomes. 

• Collaborate with the ED and the Communications Manager  on the development of communications and marketing materials. 

6. General Fundraising Responsibilities

• Stay up to date with current trends, strategies, and best practices in international fundraising and grant writing.

• Participate in professional development opportunities, training sessions, and workshops to enhance fundraising skills and knowledge, as well as knowledge and understanding of the childhood cancer sector.

• Any other fundraising activity as requested by the ED. 

Qualifications:

• A tertiary qualification, degree (or higher qualification) in a relevant field (for example in international development,  marketing or communications).

• A minimum of proven four years’ experience in international fundraising, grant writing, and securing funding from diverse sources.

• Familiarity with international grant databases, donor directories, and funding portals. You should have an existing network of funders and donors. 

• Research and analytical skills.

• Strong writing skills with the ability to craft persuasive and compelling grant proposals.

• Experience in developing budgets for grant applications.

• Ability to work independently, under pressure and to meet deadlines.

Remuneration and working conditions:

• Remuneration package of €55 000 (Euros) per annum, excluding incentive bonuses 

• 38 hour week, remote work 

• Contract position

• 22 days leave per annum 

• This position may require occasional travel to attend conferences, meetings, and fundraising events (costs of which will be covered by the organisation).

• Work hours usually 9 to 5 but will vary depending on deadlines and time zone differences when dealing with members, international partners and donors.

Role Purpose

The Mentor Administrator will work with the mentoring team, as well as in partnership with local NHS services and local patient/family support groups, providing various administrative support tasks to ensure the delivery and smooth running of the Children and Young Adults Peer Mentoring programme. The post will be managed by the North-West and South Yorkshire Programme Manager. The post holder will have regular meetings for input and guidance to complete tasks to specified timelines. Peaches Womb Cancer Trust was founded in 2020 by a team of enthusiastic and dedicated researchers, doctors and nurses working alongside Professor Emma Crosbie. Since then, the original founders have been joined by invaluable volunteers and 2 staff members to ensure we can raise awareness, support patients, fund and promote womb cancer research.

Womb cancer, also known as endometrial and uterine cancer, is the most common gynaecological cancer in the UK. Affecting approximately 9,700 people annually, most are diagnosed over 50 years of age and have gone through the menopause, but womb cancer can affect younger women too. When diagnosed at an early stage, womb cancer is often treatable: when diagnosed at early stages, 1 and 2, the survival rate is 92%. However, when the disease is diagnosed at later stages, 3 and 4, the survival rate reduces to 15%. Currently 1 in 5 women, or people with a womb, are diagnosed at advanced stages. Latest figures show that the equivalent of 27 people every day are receiving a new womb cancer diagnosis and 7 people are dying from this disease every day in the UK. Peaches want to change that and save lives. We can't think of a better way to spend your time and deploy your skills.

Role Overview:

As the Operations Executive at Peaches Womb Cancer Trust, you will play the lead role in the efficient and effective delivery of our charitable and organisational aims. Reporting to our Chair of Trustees, you will work with autonomy and be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our charity, managing our small team of dedicated staff and volunteers and driving our fundraising initiatives to enhance our impact and sustainability as an organisation.

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a small team of dedicated staff that provide a specialist service to service leavers and their families.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate mentor coordinator to join our mentoring service, with the ability to manage and support SSAFA beneficiaries and volunteer mentors. 

You will act as an operational point of contact for your area of responsibility, coordinating, managing and recording the work of all your volunteer mentors. You will conduct specialist needs assessments for potential beneficiaries, then monitor, support and review the mentoring relationships which will involve regular engagement with the volunteers. You will also be tasked with briefing, presenting, and coordinating the engagement of key stake holders in your area of responsibility.

This role is home based with extensive travel across the area the South East of England.

Frazzled Cafe is a small mental health and wellbeing charity founded by Ruby Wax OBE, that provides a safe environment where people who are feeling frazzled and overwhelmed by the stresses of modern life can meet to talk and share their personal stories. 

We run our free meetings online every single day of the year for anyone who needs them, and anyone can book and be included to talk, share, listen and to feel heard.

We're looking for a confident and positive self starter with a high level of emotional intelligence and brilliant communication skills to be our new Project Support and Administrative Officer.

The role will develop and implement Frazzled Cafe communications including managing inboxes and marketing via social media, printed materials, and newsletters. The Project and Support Administrative Officer will provide support to the CEO and Training and Programmes to plan and manage service delivery, support the recruitment, training and queries of volunteers, as well as provide day-to-day administrative support to enable the effective running of the Frazzled Cafe meetings and functions.

Frazzled Cafe runs meetings throughout the day, from early in the morning until late in the evening seven days a week – the Project Support and Administrative Officer will be responsible for scheduling these meetings and supporting our Facilitators when issues arise.

Please note that there may be some evening and weekend work expected when emergency tech or meeting issues arise. 

Main tasks:

Core Programme:

● Manage the delivery of all Frazzled Cafe meetings by being the main point of contact for day-to-day queries, managing the day to day running of core programmes, ensuring documents, schedules, records and systems are all up to date, and being on call to deal with any issues that arise.

● Support the Training and Programmes Manager in the recruitment, evaluation and training of volunteers

About the role

We are looking to recruit a permanent multi-skilled advocate to join our busy Halton Advocacy HUB multi-disciplinary team, working 22.5 hours per week.

Based in Halton, for this exciting multi-disciplinary role, we are looking for those with a particular interest in Non-Statutory Advocacy as the role will be based in a secure unit for up to two days a week. This role involves providing general advocacy support to patients in supporting form filling, sourcing general information, signposting and general low-level concerns and safeguarding issues around their care not covered by the IMHA role.  The role also covers the NHS Complaints Advocacy in our Warrington HUB (or Halton Hub when required), helping people who need support in making a complaint about their care and treatment under the NHS.

We also require a talented person to undertake the role of the RPR to support individuals detained under the Mental capacity Act on a DoLS when needed.

What we need from you

We are looking for someone who has the creativity and enthusiasm to support people in difficult circumstances, ideally has experience in a health or social care and may have their own life experiences relevant to the role. Although it would be useful to already hold a formal advocacy qualification, if you have not got advocacy qualifications it is not a problem, we will provide the required training.

You will be working from a secure mental health unit for up to two days a week and then the rest of the week will either be working from home so must have access to a stable home broadband service. There will also be an element of the role where you will be out in the community, but not exclusively, in Warrington, Halton, Widnes and Runcorn areas and therefore you must have access to your own transport.

There may be times when work is required outside normal working hours, so flexibility is required.

What's on offer:
This role is offering a salary of 52,000 FTE for this 10 week contract, on a hybrid (London) or remote basis. This is a fast moving role and applications will close as soon as a suitable candidate is found.

This role is offered on a part-time basis, with an initial start of 4 days per week for the first month, reducing down to 2.5 days for the remaining 6 weeks.

Place of work: We welcome applications from candidates based anywhere in England & Wales. Travel to our London office will be required every 4-6 weeks for which travel expenses will be reimbursed in line with our expense policy.

Salary: £48,000 pro rata annum (£28,800 for 0.6FTE) (plus London Weighting of £2,271 pro rata if applicable)

Working hours: Part-time 22.5 hours per week (can be over three days, or split over five; other flexible working patterns considered including flexibility during school holidays for the right candidate)

About the opportunity

The Head of School Marketing will lead and deliver comprehensive, cross-organisational marketing initiatives that result in an increase in the number of schools partnering with Action Tutoring. This role will define, deliver and adapt marketing strategies that effectively communicate the charity's value proposition to schools, leading to increased interest and sales. The role will oversee all marketing activities to schools; lead and support school market research and analysis; utilise analytics to measure campaign effectiveness and will be accountable for both school marketing and the initial stages of the school sales funnel (converting qualified leads into booked sales calls with our programme department).

Key responsibilities 
 

• Strategic direction - set, adjust and operationalise a comprehensive cross-organisational school marketing strategy. 
• Lead qualification - develop and implement effective lead qualification processes to ensure that generated leads are nurtured and converted into opportunities that move down the funnel.
• Conversion strategies create and execute strategies that not only attract leads, but enhance conversion rates.
• Campaign management – Work alongside the Marketing Manager, their team, colleagues across the wider Marketing and Communications department and whole organisation to plan, implement, and oversee school marketing campaigns across various channels.
• Market Research and Analysis - Conduct regular market research to identify trends and opportunities, understand the competitive landscapes and analyse data to inform school marketing strategies and optimise campaign performance.

Essential qualifications and experience criteria:
 

• Significant experience shaping and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies to engage a range of audiences, with experience in B2B marketing ideally with schools. 
• Proficiency in lead generation and demand generation techniques and technical skills to engage a range of audiences.
• Experience designing and delivering campaigns that drive conversion of leads into sales opportunities (e.g. booking of a sales call).
• Able to work across multiple teams and departments working entrepreneurially, managing projects, ensuring the timely generation of content and delivery of messages to achieve maximum impact.
• Able to collaborate and influence others to support you and your team in growing sales pipelines by attracting customers through the top of the funnel.
• Enthusiasm for and experience of using data and evidence to inform and improve processes and ways of working.
• Right to work in the UK.

We’re looking for BMS Regional Speakers (five positions) to nurture and strengthen relationships with churches and gain new regular supporters so we can see more communities transformed in Jesus’ name. You should be an enthusiastic advocate for mission, an excellent public speaker and confident in making a financial ask for BMS. You need to be outcome-driven and work towards agreed targets in the number of successful speaking engagements and new regular givers. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, have a strong commitment to outstanding supporter care, have excellent organisational skills, and be proactive and computer literate. You will have a global vision, a heart for mission and be passionate about the role of the UK church in a growing world church. This is a rewarding and very active role. 

You will conduct 15 speaking engagements to allocated churches in your region. 12 out of the 15 engagements need to take place during the main service, most likely on a Sunday morning. Other engagements can happen on a Saturday or mid-week event. If required and individually agreed, instead of two of the 15 speaking engagements at a church, the role holder might represent BMS at a ministers’ conference or a Christian event. Preparation, training, travel and speaking time are compensated and mileage is reimbursed. 

The time required for this role adds up to about 12 hours per month / 140 hours per year. This is made up of 15 speaking engagements, including the time for travel, arriving early and staying for tea and biscuits (5h per speaking engagement), preparation time (0.5h per engagement), keeping up to date with BMS’ development with our regular publications (about 15h per year), organising speaking engagements, including all communications with the church from the offer of a visit to follow up communications after a visit, recording all communications and raising any changes to role holders (2h per engagement), attending training (online and in person), team and coaching meetings (about 15h per year). 

Please note that BMS deems this role to be inside IR35 and, due to the nature of the role, will contract successful candidates via an Umbrella Agency for pay and tax purposes. You would log your hours on an hours sheet which you would submit quarterly.

The successful applicant will be a committed Christian. The nature of this role means that this is a specific occupational requirement.
